Transformers Masterpiece MPG-01 Shouki In-Hand Images
Via Baidu users 禅本蝉 and 叫我王大人 we can share for your our first in-hand images of the new Transformers Masterpiece MPG-01 Shouki.
We have a closer look at the first of the six Masterpiece Trainbots. As we can see from the images, Shouki comes packaged in Shinkansen/Bullet train mode, features a quite interesting transformation, a detailed robot mode and several clear plastic pieces and panels. For those worried about scale we have a group shot next to other Masterpiece figures like Optimus Prime (MP-44), Starscream (2.0), Hound, Ratchet, Ironhide, Arcee, and Nightbird.

Thanks to Twitter user @502TF we can share for your our first images of the Takara Tomy Transformers display at the International Tokyo Toy Show.
Takara Tomy showed some of their newest Transformers products for the Japanese market and they surprised us with samples of Legacy Cybertron Metroplex, Masterpiece Jetfire, Masterpiece Yukikaze (plus Shouki and Getsuei), Legacy Motormaster (robot, alt mode, and Combiner frame/body) plus upcoming Studio Series figures including DOTM Bumblebee, AOE Galvatron, Bumblebee Movie Thundercracker and much more!

Transformers Masterpiece MP-57 Skyfire Official Promotional Video
The official Takara Tomy Hobby channel have just uploaded a new official promotional video of the the Transformers Masterpiece MP-57 Skyfire for our viewing pleasure.
The video shows off a Skyfire production sample in his robot and alt mode, giving us a clear look the mold and details. We also have a fast review of the transformation sequence which seems to be quite intuitive and not so complex with a creative step to compact the robot’s backpack.
Also, we can see clearly the Optimus Prime, Jazz and Wheeljack figurines includes as well as the gimmicks and extra parts like 4 interchangeable faces, Autobot and Decepticons chest plates, blast effects and display base. Worried about scale? Skyfire fits very well next to Masterpiece Optimus Prime, Ratchet and Bumblebee!

Transformers Masterpiece MPG Raiden Official First Look At Raiden Torso Mode
Via the official Takara Tomy Twitter we have our first official look at the Transformers Masterpiece MPG Raiden’s Combiner Raiden torso mode.
The images show a close up of Raiden’s head included with Masterpiece Trainbot Yukikaze which is a separate piece similar to the original G1 toy. We have a closer at Raiden’s body (formed by Masterpiece Trainbot Shouki) which looks very bulky and compact.

Takara Tomy Official Transformers Masterpiece MPG Trainbots & Raiden CGI Promotional Video
The official Takara Tomy YouTube Channel have just uploaded an fantastic Transformers Masterpiece MPG Trainbots & Raiden CGI promotional video for your viewing pleasure.
We can see Shouki, Getsuei and Yukikaze racing in their realistic train modes and then transforming into their robot modes to finally fly over the sky. We also have a close up at Raiden’s face.

Takara Tomy Transformers Masterpiece MPG-03 Yukikaze Official Reveal & Images
Via Takara Tomy Mall website, we have our official reveal and images of the new Takara Tomy Transformers Masterpiece MPG-03 Yukikaze for your viewing pleasure.
Yukikaze is the third figure of the G1 Japan Trainbot team following Shouki and Getsuei. We have a clar look first look at the robot mode, combiner Raiden leg mode and the realistic 200 Series Shinkansen bullet train. The new images also show the extra parts included which reveal that Raiden’s head comes with Yukikaze.
Yukikaze is listed for 19800 Yen for the Japanese market (around $149.34) and it scheduled for release in February 2023.
Update: Additional promotional images showing off poseability, comparison shots in bots modes next to the other Masterpiece Trainbots Shouki and Getsuei and all the details (the text in one of the images confirms that Raiden’s head can fold and hide inside Yukikaze) of this figure via Takara Tomy website.

We can share for you our first image of the Takara Tomy Transformers MPG Collection Masterpiece Trainbot Yukikaze in all his modes.

Transformers Masterpiece MP-57 Skyfire Official Reveal & Images
Fire in the sky! Takara Tomy have officially revealed the latest installment in the Masterpiece line: MP-57 via Takara Tomy Mall website. Skyfire is coming in hot!
This amazing cartoon-accurate Skyfire mold will be released as a Takara Tomy Mall exclusive for the Japanese market, priced 38500 Yen (about $296.00) and scheduled for release in late January 2023. There’s a limited reservation period from June 3rd to August 5th 2022. Read on for details and highlight from the images and information from the Japanese listing:
- Design inspired by the G1 cartoon.
- 35 cm tall. We have comparison shots next to Masterpiece MP-44 Optimus Prime, MP-27 Ironhide and MP-45 Bumblebee 2.0 and MP-52 Starscream 2.0. Quite a tall figure for sure.
- Designed by veteran Takara Tomy designer Kojin Ono.
- Includes a rifle, stand, 3 interchangeable faces (one of them, G1 toy inspired mask), two big blast effects, Autobot and Decepticon plates (inspired by the classic scene in the “Fire In The Sky” episode) and three mini-figures of Optimus Prime, Wheeljack and Jazz.
- The aforementioned mini-figures are articulated and planned to work in the right scale for Skyfire’s jet mode. They fit inside the cockpit and other section of the jet.
- Alt mode can still extend the robot arms and legs while transformed as seen in the G1 cartoon.

Masterpiece is a high end toyline created by Takara to update a character's G1 toy with today's advanced engineering techniques. "Masterpiece" Transformers tend to be very expensive. Currently, the Masterpieces appear to be on a bi-yearly rotation, with a new being released in the spring or the fall.

MP-01 - Convoy
20th Anniversary Optimus Prime
A representation of Optimus Prime from The Transformers and The Transformers: The Movie. Hasbro released this to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Transformers franchise, it comes with shortened smokestacks and replaces some of the die-cast part with plastic.

MP-03 - Starscream
This toy is designed by mechanical designer Shoji Kawamori who had designed some of the original Diaclone toys, including F-15 Robo which would become Starscream and the rest of the seekers, he also famously designed the VF-1 Valkyries which Habsro recolored as Jetfire. It was designed to resemble a real-life jet hence the dark gray color scheme, there is a lot of kibble used to cover up the robot parts to form a streamlined fuselage such as the parts of the rear fuselage that hang off the hips like sheaths.
He comes with a non-transforming Megatron gun, so one can re-enact the several moments in the series where he fired Megatron in gun mode, and a stand that can support him both in aircraft mode and robot mode (as he is very prone to falling over).
In fighter mode, he has a height of 10 cm, a length of 33 cm and a wingspan of 22 cm, these dimension make him fit nicely with 1/60 scale model aircraft. All the redecos (such as the other seekers) and the re-tools (such as MP-11) have the same dimensions. [1]
Masterpiece Starscream
For the American release, Hasbro had recolored MP-03 based on his G1 toy design (with a blue nosecone as opposed to a gray one like in the show), no changes were made to the engineering, however.
MP-03G - Ghost Starscream
Cast in clear plastic to depict his "ghostly" visage.
MP-04 - Convoy Perfect Edition
A re-release of MP-01 that comes with his iconic trailer as well as Roller.
MP-04S - Convoy "Sleep Mode"
A redeco of MP-04 to resemble the deathbed scene from The Transformers: The Movie, the trailer is made from transparent plastic give a ghostly effect. There are weathering effects on this version with tints to his red and blue color-scheme as opposed to totally gray/black colors like Black Convoy to place emphasis that this is a dying version.

Redeco to represent Nemesis Prime.
MP-10 Convoy Mode "EVA"
A redeco of MP-10 in Eva Unit-01's green and purple color scheme as part of the TRANSFORMERS MODE EVA crossover series. His trailer is white with red NERV livery. Roller also has a yellow NERV logo on him. Convoy can store a red-colored matrix inside his chest and has a red NERV logo on his right shoulder.

Hasbro release of MP-10.
MP-11 - Starscream Coronation Version
This is a retool of MP-03 Starscream. MP-11 removes a lot of the kibble that provided the streamlined vehicle mode accurate to an F-15 Eagle and instead provides a robot mode as accurate to the television series as possible. Accuracy to the series in vehicle mode has also been improved e.g. the nosecone is gray, following the show appearance rather than a blue like the original G1 toy. The tail fins are now part of the legs. The feet are completely re-molded and viewable jet engines also serve as heels for Starscream in robot mode, providing better balance. Starscream no longer has detachable missiles; instead, his Null-rays are attached to his arm on small pieces connected to ball joints which attach to his wings in aircraft mode, this allows you to transform Starscream without taking anything apart, not even the weapons.
MP-11 comes with new accessories such as a crown and a foldable cape, as seen in The Transformers: The Movie, although he lacks to stand that allows you to display him in aircraft mode.
MP-11S - Sunstorm

Masterpiece Acid Storm
MP-12 - Lambor
MP-12 is a representation of Sideswipe, he can transform into an accurately detailed and officially licensed Lamborghini Countach L500S.
MP-12t - Tigertrack
Redeco to represent Tigertrack, the yellow diaclone variant of sideswipe.
