Finding Alien Cells in the 1969 Mini Cooper S Rally

So we’ve previously covered the alien plant locations and the brick challenges you'll be asking where are the alien cells and were can I find a map of them? Look no further. Here’s our Forza Horizon 4 LEGO Speed Champions Alien Cells location guide and map. We’ve put this together with the help of information posted by Reddit user /u/8209348029385 so go and give him some love and gift some gold/silver or a copy of the game because it must have been painstaking. The map of where all of the Alien Cells are located in LEGO Valley is below.

These are similar to the plants. You’ll find alien cells in the Falcon Speedway, strewn across Area 52 and Jurassic Valley and there’s a lot down the western country highways towards Little Brickworth. The difference with this compared to just the plants is that there is an alien cell buried into the side of the rock all the way down south at the Lighthouse.

The Alien Cell debris will ONLY show at night time, so if you’re going achievement hunting or just trying to get all of the challenges in the expansion, you’re wasting your time trying this one in daylight hours. At night they will pop up on your map when you are nearby to them, but they will also be really visible as they are tall glowing neon tubes with metal caps on either end of them. All you have to do, similar to the plants, is to drive into them and they will smash. You’ll get influence boosts for smashing into each one and they will work towards your brick challenge goal.

This is just one of the many collectible challenges in the game, we’ll be covering the rest in separate articles, however this was definitely one of the most requested.

What an Alien Plant location looks like once it

So along with the barn finds, bonus cubes and all the other collectibles and hidden features in the Forza Horizon 4 : LEGO Speed Champions expansion there are items known as ‘Alien Debris’. There are two kinds of alien debris; alien plants and alien cells. If you collect all of these you will get an achievement called 'Swamp Gas from a Weather Balloon'. For those of you who are bit too young to remember, this is a quote from the 1995 Will Smith movie Men In Black which was based all around aliens.

We’ll focus on the alien cells in another article, but thanks to Reddit user /u/8209348029385 (very memorable). We are able to provide you with a map of all of the bonus boards and alien plants across the map. As you can see in the image, these will be a glowing neon green if you have not yet smashed into them, if you have driven into them they revert to a dull grey.

You’ll see on the map, there are two plants up at the Falcon Speedway on the outskirts of the race track. There is a few just off the road as you make your way down towards Brickchester on the country roads, with 4 in the city centre itself dotted around the square. Make your way over to Little Brickworth and there will be another couple dotted around near to the curves on the road.

Redbeard’s Retreat has one just near the icon to go back to the mainland, and there’s another icon just near the festival site. The Super Mega Awesome Adventure Stunt Park has a couple on it’s outskirts, but as the plants are generally put in the grass area or dirt I wouldn’t expect to see them growing in the concrete (although these are alien plants, so anything is to be expected). There’s a plant just behind the runway at the airport, a couple on the long road up to the rear of the airport and then Jurassic Graveyard and Area 52 will have three more put around for you.

Smashing through the scenery to get to those sweet sweet alien plant locations.

The weird looking plants that are only visible and available for you to drive into and ‘collect’ aka destroy when it is raining. It takes about two or three hours of game time to get to the point where the plants start showing up. I found in my personal experience that once the alien debris started to appear it would rain quite frequently and it wasn’t hard to collect all of these. Some people have reported waiting a long time between weather cycles in order to collect all of these and get closer to 100% completion of all of the achievements.

You should by now know that nothing in life is easy. True to form, the alien cells and alien plants have the exact same icon on the map. You will have to hover over the item you want to collect and you will get a caption which will tell you what type it is. My recommendation is to focus on collecting all of the debris as soon as possible and it’ll take maybe fifteen minutes to half an hour to get all of them and get the achievement. You may be visited by some extraterrestrial friends when you collect them all, but we will leave it a little while before revealing all.

The pit stop is located at the top of the map, as part of the Falcon Indy Circuit in LEGO Valley.

The pit stop is located at the top of the map, as part of the Falcon Indy Circuit in LEGO Valley.

Seeing as there's an entire challenge dedicated to it, we thought it was worth a quick video covering how to find the pit stop in the Forza Horizon 4 expansion. The 'Where's my Team' challenge directs you to find the Pit Stop, near the entrance to the LEGO Raceway. Many of the 'Discovery' challenges in the game are also based around here, starting out at the pit stop, so you'll want to find it easily and be familiar with it.

To find the pit stop, you'll want to head all the way to the north west of the map - into the race track at the Falcon Speedway.

Our step by step video on finding the pit stop in the Speed Champions expansion for Forza Horizon 4

Once you're at the Falcon Speedway, head out onto the main oval racetrack, avoiding the drag strip, drift course and the outer ring. You'll want to be on the main straight where all of the buildings are - you'll notice on one side there is a high race control building and the other there are some garages.

The pit stop isn't actually that easy to find because the entrance has been obscured by the position of the pit wall. Looking at the design of the map, I don't think this was a deliberate thing by the game designers. The wall may have been moved back during play testing because of players finding the track too tight here or too many people crashing into it.

The pit wall, next to the pit lane in the Speed Champions expansion. You can see that it

The pit wall, next to the pit lane in the Speed Champions expansion. You can see that it's misaligned with the track - easy to hit at high speed!

You can see above how the pit wall sits too far back and should actually border that white line as the edge of the raceway. Squeeze your car into the pit lane and you'll complete the 'Where's my Team?' challenge and pick up a handy 10 bricks to add to your collection. You'll find yourself racing through here at top speed heading to areas like the town centre in an F40 (for the 'Thoroughbred' challenge) so get used to making fast entries and exits from the LEGO Valley pit stop.
