"Team Avatar is back! Air, water, earth, fire, fan and sword!" -Sokka

    • Fully poseable legs, feet, head, and tail.
    • 41 points of articulation in all!
    • Stands nearly 6" tall!
    • 13 & 1/2" from head to tail and 11" wide with legs fully extended
    • 4 &1/2" tall
    • Features reference to the episode "The Blue Spirit" with one of the toads Aang must retreave to cure Sokka and Katara.

    Minifigures:

    • Aang
    • Momo
    • Zuko
    • Toph
    • Katara
    • Sokka
    • Suki
    • A surprisingly knowledgeable Merchant of Cabbage!

With your support, you and other fans of Avatar can recreate your favorite scenes from the show and even build your own! The Spirit World is the limit! So, do you think Aang can save the world?

Thank you to my family and friends who supported me through the design process. This wouldn't have been possible without their help and won't be possible without yours! I hope you love the final product as much as I do and are willing to support this project. Thank you so much for your consideration.

Lego Avatar: The Last Airbender was a series of LEGO sets manufactured by the LEGO company, based on the television series of the same name. However, due to competition between Avatar and SpongeBob SquarePants, this LEGO theme had to be discontinued. This made it one of the shortest LEGO theme runnings in history, [1] having only two sets. [2]

    Background

The two sets debuted as part of the first wave test run of Nickelodeon-themed LEGO sets following a partnership between the popular kids' network and the Danish toy company in late 2005. In this wave, Nickelodeon decided to include two of its most popular franchises: Avatar: The Last Airbender and SpongeBob SquarePants to see which ones would be more popular. [1] In August 2006, the first five Nickelodeon LEGO sets hit retail shelves: two based on Avatar and the other three on SpongeBob. [3] The two models were only released in the United States and Canada and was shortly discontinued after its release in 2007. [1] [2]

The discontinuation of the theme is partly due to the belief that Avatar: The Last Airbender would become obsolete, as only three seasons were planned and it was originally set to end the year after the first wave. Nevertheless, the sets produced are based only on Book One, and therefore recreate events solely from this time frame. The series had not yet introduced Toph, and Zuko was still bent on capturing Aang. There were only two new piece molds introduced in this theme, those for Momo and the wings of Aang's glider.

Aang is the only individual character from the series that appears in both sets. Sokka and Momo only appear in "3828 Air Temple", and Katara and Zuko only appear in "3829 Fire Nation Ship". Other mini-figures merely portray generic Fire Nation soldiers. Important recurring characters that were already present in Book One and are not represented in any way in this theme are Appa, Iroh, and Zhao.

In 2020, a set named Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Avatar Returns was created by StudioTRico and it reached 10,000 votes on LEGO Ideas in order for Lego to consider to make it into an official set. The set is based on the original Fire Nation Ship set, and features Aang, Katara, Sokka, Prince Zuko, Iroh, and a Fire Nation soldier. [4] [5]

A month later, a set named Avatar: The Last Airbender - YIP YIP! was created by StudioTRico and similarly reached 10,000 votes. The idea included a constructed Appa, and included Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, Toph, Suki, Iroh, and Momo. LEGO officially responded to the project, announcing that they "will not produce this project as a set". [6] [7] .

Avatar: The Last Airbender - тематические наборы конструкторов от известной кампании LEGO, основанные на мультсериале «Аватар: Легенда об Аанге».

Avatar: The Last Airbender is my favorite animated tv show of all time! With the recent resurgence of pop cultural relevance thanks to Netflix, old and new fans are falling in love with the show's amazing characters and world of bending all over again. It really goes beyond saying there is no better time for the return of Avatar in Lego.

With this set you can saddle up with Team Avatar on the back of Appa, the flying bison, and embark on the epic journey to master all four elements, confront the fire nation, and save the world.

I made this set with Lego fans of all ages in mind, providing a lot of uses for play and display. Not only can you show Appa off on his stand, but with a spin of the lever at the base you can capture the iconic imagery of Team Avatar soaring through the skies! Using an internal gear mechanism, Appa's tail will naturally wave up and down as you spin, making it appear like he's gliding through the clouds. You still have the option to take the big fuzzball off the stand and utilize his wide range of pose-ability and expressiveness for normal play. You'll have fun recreating memorable scenes and battles from the show, as well as creating some of your own with the additional mini-figures and features.
