LEGO Dimensions is a LEGO action-adventure video game developed by Traveller's Tales and published and distributed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. It follows multiple characters from various LEGO franchises after a masked villain breaks into multiple worlds. It follows the "toys-to-life" format, in that the player has LEGO figures and a portal which can be played within the game itself. ,

Back to the Future is one of the many brands in LEGO Dimensions.
The Back to the Future Level Pack includes Marty McFly, the DeLorean time machine, the hoverboard, and the Back to the Future level for the game.
The Doc Brown Fun Pack includes Emmett Brown, and the Jules Verne Train. and Christopher Lloyd both reprised their roles in the game. Fox voices four characters in the game: Marty McFly, Seamus McFly, Martin McFly, Jr. and Marlene McFly.
The main story includes appearances by Hubert, Seamus McFly and Buford Tannen. appears in the main BTTF level as a citizen in peril. In the BTTF level pack, Lorraine Baines is the citizen in peril.

Story Mode

Rule Breaker: 145,000

1. Time to construct an amplifier. Destroy the cluster of objects by your starting point, revealing LEGO pieces. Build them onto the amp, then head left. Use Marty's guitar to shatter the glass objects, revealing LEGO pieces. Build them onto the amp, then construct Marty's vehicle. Hop on and use the bad to bounce up to the ledge. Hover across the gaps, then push the oven off the ledge, revealing LEGO pieces. Build them into a lever, then pull it to reveal LEGO pieces. Build them onto the amp, then use Marty's guitar.

2. After the cutscene, time to build the DeLorean. Do so, then head left. Destroy the objects to reveal LEGO pieces. Build them into a rotary handle, then turn it to open the back of the truck. Shatter the glass, then build the LEGO pieces into a ramp. Hop in the DeLorean and hit the ramp. Lure the Libyans into destroying the silver objects, then build the LEGO pieces into a treadmill. Use the DeLorean to power it.

3. Destroy the glowing objects in the back left corner, revealing LEGO pieces. Build them into a ladder, then climb up. Hover across the gap, then destroy the objects on the tiles to clear them up. Push the box off the edge, then drop back down and build the LEGO pieces into a ramp. Hop in the DeLorean and hit the ramp.

4. Your main objective here is to plug in three electrical sockets. The first one is just to your left, simply push it along the tiles. Use Marty's guitar to shatter the glass window, then build the LEGO pieces into a rotary handle. Turn it to lower the shade. Bounce from the car to the shade to the roof, then destroy the glowing objects to reveal LEGO pieces. Build them into tiles, then push the plug into the socket. Climb the ladder to the right, then hover across the gap and hop up the bars. Use Marty's guitar to shatter the glass door, then build the LEGO pieces into the plug. Destroy the glowing objects to reveal LEGO pieces for the tiles. Push the plug into the socket. Plug in all three sockets to power up the treadmill. Hop back down and use the DeLorean to head back to the future.

Free Play Mode (100%)

Area 1: Minikit 1: Destroy 5 gold clocks to reveal this.

Minikit 2: Send a drone through the pipe on the right, then hit the button to reveal this.

Area 2: Minikit 3: Use the grapple point to pull a cart out of the bushes, then destroy it.

Area 3: Minikit 4: Hit the Batarang target on the left ledge to reveal this.

Minikit 5: Use Magic on the net on the right ledge, revealing objects. Use Magic to construct a scarecrow, revealing this in the wall. Zap it to free it.

Area 4: Minikit 6: Dig this up out of the back of the truck.

Minikit 7: Drill through the hole on the roof to reach this.

Lorraine Baines: Destroy the silver trashcan on the left, revealing a locate keystone. Use it to discover a rift by the treadmill, clearing the path to the left. Head left, entering a dance. Use magic to destroy the pinata, rescuing Lorraine Baines.

Minikit 8: After rescuing the Citizen in Peril, this is in the center of the room.

Minikit 9: After collecting Minikit 8, head right and hit the Batarang target to reveal this on the stage.

Minikit 10: After collecting Minikit 9, use the Aquaman panel to build a trident, revealing this.

A few days prior to the future in the original Back to the Future film, I decided to review Lego Dimensions' take on the franchise. So hop in your DeLorean and let's travel through time to see what's included in this Level Pack.

Marty McFly sure has a couple of radical options when it comes to getting around

The following abilities become available for you to use throughout the Lego Dimensions universe when you purchase this Level Pack:

Marty McFly: Use your guitar to break glass (sonar smash)
DeLorean transformations: DeLorean Time Machine (time travel), Electric Time Machine (tow bar [also available for the Batmobile] and trigger electric switches), Ultra Time Machine (destroy silver blocks, fly, use flight docks and cargo hooks)
Hoverboard transformations: Hoverboard (hover on even surfaces), Cyclone Board (special attack), Ultimate Hoverjet (destroy silver blocks)

Before I go into detail on the story level and adventure world, I must state that I haven't watched the Back to the Future movies so some references may have gone over my head when playing. Nevertheless, I did do some research on the franchise to better familiarize myself with the plot and characters. The story level takes you through some iconic scenes from the films. You start out in a room full of Dr. Emmett Brown's inventions where you break and build bricks until you unlock the hoverboard then build a large speaker system. In the next scene, you're taken to a parking lot outside of a mall where you build the DeLorean time machine while fighting off bad guys that keep throwing destructive bananas at you. The time machine takes you to a barn where you must build the time travel switch again in order to get to the final level that follows a classic scene from the first movie. In this scene, Dr. Emmett Brown stands on top of the town hall while you connect giant plugs to send electricity to the time travel switch when the lightning next strikes. Overall, the level seemed short and I think that was because I wasn't actually playing for a lot of it since I was primarily watching video clips. Thankfully, Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd offer a great deal of authenticity to these rather humorous scenes.

The adventure world unlocked with this pack gave me the most satisfaction out of any of the worlds included in the base game or the other Level Packs at launch. The reason is that you actually get three different versions of Hill Valley as it stands in 1895 (from the third movie), 1985 and 2015 (from the second movie). A time travel switch can be used to go back or forward in time and when you do, your actions in the past affect the worlds in the future. For example, watering a tree in the past will make it appear fully grown in the present where you can now smash it and get a gold brick. Each period of time is a simplified model of the area around the town hall with its own unique characteristics as if you get to play three different adventure worlds. In 1895, the hall is just being built in an Old West style village of what would later be Hill Valley. The 1985 world has its 80s soundtrack playing while you walk around the now well established town. In the future version of the town (2015), you'll find new items like a hoverboard park and an aptly placed Portal 2 Excursion Funnel.

To my surprise, I enjoyed playing this Level Pack the most out of the three that were available at launch. Though the story level leaves some brick-breaking fun to be desired, the expansive and unique adventure world more than makes up for it.

“ Is it worth the $30 that it's asking for. That depends but I believe it does. If you're purchasing it to use it in game, it's definitely worth it as it provides more play content much like a DLC but with physical items included. If you weren't able to get the DeLorean CUUSOO . More set, this is another chance to pick up the Marty McFly minifigure plus the Hoverboard which was omitted in the set.”

Everyone loves a LEGO figure of a character they like and the mini-kit style DeLorean is an excellent design with two equally great alternates to build. A printed hoverboard is great fun for collectors . More and fans alike.”

“ The Back to the Future Level Pack costs $30, which is a lot for a minifig and two small builds. If you're going to play the game though, the value increases substantially. I'm still not sure it's worth $30, even with the level being a lot of fun. If you're a Back to the . More Future fan or have to have all of the Dimensions figs I would recommend it, but if you're only casually interested I'd suggest waiting for it to go on sale. I do really like the mini DeLorean though.”
