LEGO Back to the Future is a 2015 action-adventure LEGO game following the storyline of the Back to the Future franchise developed by TT Games and published by Universal Studios. The game plays similar to other LEGO titles, having multiple puzzle solving and adventure sequences. LEGO BTTF implements an open world map, similar to the of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, allowing the player to roam around the entirety of Hill Valley in any of the four time settings; the 1980s, the Old West, 2015, and the 1950s.

Gameplay
Similar to other LEGO games, each unlockable character has a special ability that can be used in both the missions and in the open world. Also similar to other LEGO games is the ability to destroy objects and gain studs for characters and cheats. LEGO BTTF has an open world landscape, allowing the player to go through the entirety of Hill Valley, in four different times; 1985, the Old West, the 50s, and 2015, each having different characters, missions, and a slightly altered map. Times can be swapped by simply using the Delorean time machine. During the game, the player must strive to avoid creating paradoxes created by messing with the main storyline. Creating a paradox during a mission will reset it completely.
Story
The story follows mainly the story of the film franchise, starting with Marty as the first unlocked character roaming Hill Valley. He must go to save Emmett Brown, and is teleported back to the 1950s, where the events of the first movie in the franchise takes place. After his adventures in the 50s, Marty or any other characters the player has unlocked, is allowed to roam around Hill Valley either in the 50s or 80s. Next, when the player is ready, Emmett Brown takes Marty to 2015. Note that while in a different time for the first time, the player must complete the storyline missions before returning to the other times. Once Marty is done in the future, the player is able to return to the other times, with Emmett Brown unavailable as a character. Marty then goes back to the 50s to find the old Doc Brown, and travels to the Old West. Once the player has completed all of the storyline missions in the Old West, the main story is over and the player is free to roam in any time with all the characters they have unlocked for as long as they want.

Since this game was divided into five separate games for each episode, the name you select in Episode one doesn't carry over to the others. But I remember there being a way to modify the game data for selecting the alias of your choice, but I can't remember what it was. I tried using the Registry Editor (regedit), but I couldn't find anything under Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Telltale Games for BTTF (only the file for Tales from the Borderlands, another Telltale game I installed).
i got a question i just bought this game today and i got all 5 episodes seperated on my steam library so like 1 episode is 1 game but i got a lot of other telltale games and with those other telltale games like the walking dead and the wolf among us its all 5 episodes in 1 game but now in my library i got episode 1 alone and episode 2 alone and episode 3 alone and episode 4 alone and episode 5 alone is that normal? i tough that it was 1 full game with all 5 episodes in it like normal telltale games? how wi.

Правда, теперь нам предлагают не просто наблюдать за событиями, а принять в них участие лично. С нами в студии другая студия под говорящим названием Telltale. Все знают, что вот этот конкретный автор рецензий пристрастен и необъективен, когда дело касается игр от Telltale. Потому что никакая другая компания не в состоянии сделать проект по фильму так, что в него действительно хочется играть.
Сдал назад — попал в будущее
Обычно игры по кинолентам делают двумя основными способами: либо доверяют второстепенным персонажам весь тяжкий груз альтернативной сюжетной линии, либо ваяют продолжение событий первоисточника в исполнении главных героев. Есть, правда, еще вариант «пародия», когда все произошедшее в оригинальном произведении перевирается донельзя, но такой подход чаще применяют к литературным исходным материалам. Разработчики из Telltale, как правило, используют второй шаблон. Так они поступили с Уоллесом и Громитом, по сходной модели работали с CSI. А с Back To The Future вдруг решили поэкспериментировать.
Сюжет адвенчуры вроде бы основан на продолжении событий третьего фильма. Тем не менее некоторые фрагменты The Game повторяют сцены из кинотрилогии практически дословно. Даже начинается все с цитаты: собака по имени Эйнштейн отправляется на одну минуту в прошлое — точно как в оригинале. Опыт с бравым псом идет по неверному пути: четвероногое не возвращается вовремя, а сам Эммет Браун, он же Док, истаивает в пространстве. Спустя полгода после этого трагического события друг Эммета, Марти МакФлай, получает послание от своего приятеля, чудесным образом доставленное вместе с утерянной собакой и столь же бесповоротно утерянной машиной времени. Оказывается, Док застрял где-то в прошлом, его там посадили в тюрьму за поджог и застрелили по дороге к мэрии. То есть застрелят. В смысле должны застрелить. Если Марти не отправится в 1931-й год и не исправит ситуацию, конечно. Ну, вы уже все поняли, верно? Пристегиваем ремни и включаем третью передачу — прошлое ждет нас.
Можем ли мы говорить о том, что жанр адвенчур постепенно уступает место интерактивному кино? Спорно. Но если уж отстаивать такую точку зрения, Back To The Future от Telltale однозначно выступит достойным аргументом в ее защиту. Нас органично и легко погружают внутрь повествования, но действовать нам приходится очень изредка и по большей части чисто формально. Порой достаточно просто пройти мимо какого-нибудь объекта, чтобы попасть прямиком в ролик, благодаря которому мы продвигаемся вперед по сценарию. Например, в 1931-м году Марти достаточно пробежаться по улице неподалеку от полицейского участка — и вуаля, из зарешеченного окна выглядывает Док, сидящий в кутузке. В тех же случаях, когда нам приходится-таки чуть-чуть шевельнуть единственной центральной извилиной, усилие это настолько минимально, что о нем и говорить не стоит. А если вдруг у вконец расслабившегося игрока и на такой мизер сил не хватает, всегда можно прибегнуть к спасительным подсказкам.
Удивительно другое. Совершенно не напрягая нас излишним умственным трудом, разработчики умудрились внедрить в игровой процесс двух- и трехходовые комбинации. Более того, даже с некоторым уклоном в психологизм. Вот смотрите: Марти нашел в миниатюрном макете города секретный дневник Дока. Отрицательный персонаж Бифф Таннен тут же отнимает у главного героя его находку, рассудив, что, даже если записи Брауна ничего не стоят, сделать гадость МакФлаю — всегда приятно. Нам придется использовать гитару и мощный усилитель, чтобы оглушить злодея и вернуть себе свое. Но перед тем как стукнуть неприятеля звуковой волной по темечку, мы обязательно должны переговорить с папой Марти — убедить его не вмешиваться в дела сына, дать мальчику возможность самому за себя постоять. Иначе заботливый отец, страхуя подростка от обид, нанесенных Биффом, так и не позволит своей кровиночке как следует приложить врага.
Трилогия Back To The Future подвергается жестокой и беспощадной игроизации не впервые. Робкие попытки донести события киноэпопеи до рядового обитателя замониторья были предприняты в скором времени после выхода самой трилогии. Аляповатые аркадки могли обрадовать разве что ярого поклонника ленты. Хоть формально разработчики из Telltale и не пионеры, на деле именно они первые создали игровую версию Back To The Future. Именно игровую версию, а не «поделку по мотивам».
Впрочем, мы любим Telltale не только за ценный геймплей, но и за три-четыре килограмма отборнейшего диалога. Даже несмотря на то, что наша роль в беседах все так же сводится к перебору всех забавных вариантов подряд. Все равно сюжет абсолютно линеен, так что «неправильные» реплики главного героя принесут нам чуть-чуть веселья, но не уведут с тропы прохождения ни на шаг.
Каждый, даже самый эпизодический персонаж в игре — живой, характерный и неоднозначный. Знакомьтесь, вот мистер МакФлай-старший, папа Марти. Величавый, понимающий, красивый мужчина в настоящем — и забитый, несчастный дяденька в прошлом. Старушка Эдна Стрикланд — полнокровная иллюстрация к теме трагической старости. В 1931-м — красавица-журналистка, разве что чересчур озабоченная общественной моралью. Спустя годы — страшная, одинокая сумасшедшая бабка, орущая в рупор на «хулиганов» из окна своей захламленной квартиры. Эта метаморфоза психологически точна и реалистична просто до жути. И очень в духе первоисточника.
Диалоги и поведенческая линия персонажей подкрепляются любовно созданной мимикой. Казалось бы, сейчас уже мало кого можно удивить чудесами анимации моделей, но в Back To The Future господа из Telltale, пожалуй, превзошли сами себя. Еще подробнее, обаятельнее, чем в серии Wallace & Gromit, еще четче и уместнее с точки зрения попадания в момент, чем в CSI. Когда Марти удивляется, злится, расстраивается, шутит, мы верим ему настолько, что готовы даже простить весьма сомнительное сходство главного героя игры с прототипом из кинотрилогии.
Плюсы: динамичный сюжет; проработанные характеры; атмосфера полного погружения; психологизм; великолепная мимика.
Минусы: порой чересчур легкие задачи; герои внешне не слишком похожи на свои кинопрототипы.
A brand-new Lego Back to the Future DeLorean set has appeared after weeks of rumors, and it's due to hit shelves very soon - April, in fact.
Officially dubbed the 'Lego Back to the Future Time Machine', fans can get their hands on this kit as of April 1, 2022. It'll cost $169.99 from the official Lego Store (opens in new tab) or £149.99 (opens in new tab) if you're based in the UK, and is being unveiled with a trailer (opens in new tab) that takes Doc Brown and Marty across the Lego-verse - including to Jurassic Park, where they tangle with a T-rex. (Does this make it look like one of the best Lego sets ever? Yes, probably.)
Crucially, this Lego Back to the Future DeLorean can be converted with alternate pieces to represent its upgrades throughout the series. There's even a light-up Flux Capacitor brick that can be plugged into the cabin alongside minifigures of Marty McFly and Doc Brown.
As part of the 'Creator Expert' series, this kit is a more challenging build designed for adults. Made up of 1,872 pieces, it measures 35cm in diameter and has a detailed interior that can be admired by lifting the DeLorean's gullwing doors. Its real party trick is an ability to swap parts out to represent each movie, though.
Along with the car's look from the original film (complete with lightning rod), this Lego Back to the Future Time Machine can opt for hover tyres, a Mr. Fusion engine add-on that's 'powered' by a Lego banana, or whitewall tires with a hood-mounted circuit board for its travels in the Old West. Basically, it feels as if Lego has tried to make the ultimate DeLorean with this kit - there's actually room for Marty's hoverboard.

At an impressive 1,872 pieces strong, this is a much more detailed Lego DeLorean than previous versions (the last set in 2013 only had 401). Thanks to a battery-powered Flux Capacitor and the ability to swap pieces out from each movie, this version is also a lot more ambitious.
Talk of a new Lego Back to the Future DeLorean has been circulating for quite some time, and sites like BrickFanatics (opens in new tab) were reporting on it as late as yesterday. Because these details came from German site PromoBricks (opens in new tab) , more of its predictions could wind up being true - it recently claimed that a Jedi Fallen Order set is on the way (opens in new tab) , for example.
Just don't expect the Lego DeLorean to appear in any Lego deals soon - this one is likely to sell out fast.
