The Batcave is the second major hub world in the game. It has all of the same features as the Watchtower such as checking your Minikits or creating Custom Characters, but a different set of quests and collectibles to be done.

Contents

Layout [ edit ]

Compared to the Watchtower, the Batcave is not as organized in its rooms. You'll often start from the teleporter to the Watchtower, which is where you appear out of when you select the Batcave on the world map. In front of the teleporter is what could be considered the "hub" for the Batcave. Going left, you can climb up a ladder to visit the Trophy Room. Inside the Trophy Room are several mementos of Batman's adventures, including a tease for LEGO Jurassic World. Also in the trophy is a computer where you can buy Extras, as well as a Joker box where you can enter cheat codes. At the far right side of the Trophy Room is a TV set that contains a secret entrance into a bonus level. Use super strength to bring down the eastern wall in the Trophy Room to find a hidden Riddler Trophy, which nets you an achievement.

Outside the Trophy Room, go right to reach the Batcomputer. This piece of technology functions the same as the hologram in the Watchtower Control Room, in that it lets you go to any levels you've played through in the past. South of the Trophy Room is a lift that takes you down to the lowest level of the Batcave, near the lake. All there is are collectibles here. Back at the teleporter, go right to reach a platform where many costumes are on display. Go north into the huge door to reach the Character Customiser, with two pods to make your own Custom Character. Continue right past the Character Customiser to reach the Laboratory. From this room, you can reach the seat where the VR Missions can be accessed.

Quests [ edit ]

A Polarizing Decision [ edit ]

  • Location: In front of teleporter
  • Requirements: Completed Sleep Well quest
  • Reward: Gold Brick and Kevin Smith token

Kevin Smith has been requested to direct a documentary about the Batcave, but the producers want him to work a fight between Superman and a polar bear into the show. He can't find a polar bear in the Batcave, so you'd just have to make one. Go to the Character Customiser and create a Custom Character, buying the Polar Bear hat and shirt for them to wear. Talk to Kevin Smith again as this Custom Character to make him hire the "polar bear" and clear the quest.

Rose-Tinted Rumble [ edit ]

  • Location: In front of teleporter
  • Requirements: Completed Dot and Bothered quest
  • Reward: Gold Brick and Nightwing token

Nightwing has returned to the Batcave to reminisce about his time as Robin. Conveniently, several criminals are invading the Batcave, so he offers to fight alongside you to relive his days as a sidekick. Simply kill 20 enemies that appear to complete this quest.

Lost in Translation [ edit ]

  • Location: Outside Laboratory
  • Reward: Gold Brick and Batgirl token

The Joker's thugs have invaded the Batcave, but Batgirl misinterpreted Ace the Bat-Hound's warning. You have to go with Ace and protect Batgirl by defeating henchmen when they appear, with Ace lending his assistance. You'll go west from the Laboratory, over to the costume display, past the teleporter, up the ladder until you reach the Batcomputer. You should be attacked by 2 groups of henchmen on your way there, but they are quite easy to defeat.

Sleep Well [ edit ]

  • Location: Batcomputer
  • Requirements: Completed Lost in Translation quest
  • Reward: Gold Brick and Ace the Bat-Hound token

Ace has discovered a "Timmy" stuck at the bottom of the well near the Batcomputer. Smash the box south of where Ace is standing and use the pieces to build a crank. Turn the crank to hoist Mr Mxyzptlk out.

Everyone's a Critic [ edit ]

  • Location: Outside Trophy Room
  • Requirements: Completed Bear-fisted Beatdown quest
  • Reward: Gold Brick

Kevin Smith's new film is apparently so bad that Catwoman has stolen it to keep it from the public. You must use super senses to track it down. Your super senses will reveal a trail of studs leading to a pile of trash. Destroy each pile of trash you come to in order to make another swarm of bats appear, then use super senses to spawn a trail leading to the next pile of trash. Keep doing this until you reach the costume display and destroy the final pile of garbage to find the stolen film reel.

Dot and Bothered [ edit ]

  • Location: Outside Trophy Room
  • Requirements: Completed Everyone's a Critic quest
  • Reward: Gold Brick and Polka-Dot Man token

Kevin Smith has found Polka-Dot Man's villainous speech and mocks his lame jokes, only to discover an angry Polka-Dot Man eaves dropping. You must now fight off Polka-Dot Man. He will battle you in hand-to-hand combat until you hit him once, then he will call in 10 goons to fight you. Once you defeat all 10, Polka-Dot Man will reappear. Repeat this cycle until you hit him three times to defeat Polka-Dot Man.

Manta Encounter [ edit ]

  • Location: Lakeside
  • Requirements: Completed Rose-Tinted Rumble quest
  • Reward: Gold Brick and Black Manta token

Aquaman is inspecting the water at the Batcave when Black Manta attacks! Black Manta will stay in the water so you need to force him out. Use an ice beam on the studs hopping on the water surface to create icebergs. Once Black Manta collides with an iceberg, he will attack you by jumping out of the water for a ground slam. After he slams three times, he is vulnerable to attack, so use this opportunity to harm him. Attack him three times to defeat this aquatic villain.

Mxyzptlk in a Fix [ edit ]

  • Location: Trophy Room
  • Requirements: Completed The Secret of Chimpanzees quest
  • Reward: Gold Brick

The Riddler has given Mr. Mxyzptlk a riddle, threatening to bomb Metropolis if he fails to solve it. The riddle is "Two bodies have I, though both joined in one. The longer I stand, the faster I run!" Fortunately, even if you don't understand the riddle, the Riddler's giant hourglass is a pretty good clue. Go behind the exhibit and pull the lever there to diffuse the bomb, which also helps Mr. Mxyzptlk solve the riddle.

A Bovine's Sidekick [ edit ]

  • Location: Laboratory
  • Reward: Gold Brick

Bat-cow has decided to look for a sidekick, with the main requirement being that they must resemble a cow. Go to the Character Customiser and create a Custom Character using the Cow hat and shirt. Talk to Bat-cow as said Custom Character and it will gladly accept you as a sidekick, giving you your prize.

Churning As We Go [ edit ]

  • Location: Laboratory
  • Requirements: Completed A Bovine's Sidekick quest
  • Reward: Gold Brick

Now that Bat-cow has a sidekick, it must test its sidekick's skills. Go into the VR room and select mission number 22 to begin. First, you must defeat 10 heavily-armored foes by knocking them off the edge. Next, you must eliminate three enemies who can create huge tremors by stomping the ground. Be sure to jump when they cause an earthquake to avoid damage. Finally, you must climb up a set of rippling stairs to reach the exit. Once you clear these challenges, Bat-cow will give you your reward.

The Secret of Chimpanzees [ edit ]

  • Location: Laboratory
  • Requirements: Completed Churning As We Go quest
  • Reward: Gold Brick and Detective Chimp token

Mr. Mxyzptlk is complaining about Detective Chimp's odd behavior, as it has been scampering around point its magnifying glass at everything, almost as if looking for clues. Use super senses near Detective Chimp to detect a trail of footsteps. Follow the footsteps, using super senses again whenever you need to, until you reach a dirt pile. Use a digging character to unearth a treasure chest out of the dirt pile. Destroy the lock on the chest with a laser to find a Gold Brick inside!

Bear-fisted Beatdown [ edit ]

  • Location: Laboratory
  • Requirements: Completed A Polarizing Decision and The Secret of Chimpanzees quest
  • Reward: Gold Brick

Kevin Smith has started to film the fight scene between Superman and a polar bear, with Superman being played by Superboy and the polar bear being played by you. The scene will be heavily edited in CGI, so they've decided to film it in virtual reality. Go into the VR Mission room and select the 23rd mission. Unlike other quests, you have to let Superboy win this one. When Superboy prepares to attack, one of the platforms will flash red. You have to get on to that platform so that Superboy's attack hits you. Do this three times to clear the mission.

Virtual Insanity [ edit ]

  • Location: Laboratory
  • Requirements: Completed Bear-fisted Beatdown quest
  • Reward: Gold Brick and Toyman token

Kevin Smith tells you that Toyman has gone and trapped several people in the VR console. Hop into virtual reality and select mission 24 to rescue them. Here, you must travel along the path and beat down enemies you encounter. You will be followed by two children who the enemies will target primarily, but you don't receive any penalty if they die. Other than the standard enemies, you must also confront laser-shooting foes that fire straight ahead, armored baddies that need to be knocked off the edge, as well as pistol users that can target you with their shots. Escort the children to the exit to beat the mission.

Gold Bricks [ edit ]

  1. In the underground lake you should see 5 rocks underwater arranged in a ring. Use a character that sinks in water like Batman's Scuba Suit to destroy all 5 before the timer runs out to get your prize. You have roughly 8 seconds between each rock, and each rock destroyed resets the timer.
  2. In the Trophy Room, you must destroy 5 sandwich boards within a strict time limit to make the Gold Brick appear. The first one is in front of a vent, the second one is near the Batmobile, the third is in front of the Penguin coin, the fourth is beside the animatronic dinosaur, while the fifth is in front of the Riddler hourglass. You have 8 seconds to hit each board and destroying one refreshes the timer.
  3. Go to the top floor of the Character Customiser. Use a sonic blast to destroy the glass casing on the wall, then operate the control panel behind the casing with a tech-savvy character. This will open up a box containing a Gold Brick.

Character and Vehicle Tokens [ edit ]

Grayson [ edit ]

Destroy the computer systems southwest of the Batcomputer to get parts to build an electric generator. Use the Electricity Suit to drain power out of the generator, then go right to find an outlet connected to a crate. Power the outlet with electricity to open the crate, letting you get the token.

Joker Clown Henchman [ edit ]

At the lakeside there are 5 Batman flags that you must destroy. The first is next to the lift, the second is hanging from a support pillar to the right of the lift, the third is on the roof of a small cave, the fourth is in front of the third flag, and the fifth is on the opposite shore of the lake. You have 10 seconds to go between each flag, and every flag destroyed resets the timer. Hit all 5 without running out of time to make the token appear.

Batman (Darkest Knight) [ edit ]

The token is in an open container guarded by a security camera. The container will close if you're detected by a camera, so move past it with stealth to get the token.

Alfred (1966) [ edit ]

On the other shore of the lake you can see a blue and red structure made of glass. Use The Atom or the Mini Characters Extra to shrink down so that you can enter the structure. You go in from the right end and must press every button along the way to open a path further into the structure. Go to the very end to obtain the token.

Bruce Wayne [ edit ]

At the far shore of the lake there is what looks like a fossilized ribcage. Use a sonar attack to shatter the crystal that has formed in front of the ribcage, then use super senses to detect a golden rock inside. Sear open the rock with a laser to get the token.

Catwoman [ edit ]

When you enter the Trophy Room, you should see a giant chessboard with only black pieces. Destroy the box and the chess pieces beside the board to get parts to build two white pieces on the chessboard. This causes a checkmate that kills the black king piece, causing the token to appear.

The Batmobile (1989) [ edit ]

In the Trophy Room, attack the modern Batmobile on display to shatter it into pieces. Reassemble the pieces into the 1989 version of the Batmobile to get its vehicle token.

Batman (Zur-En-Arrh) [ edit ]

In the Trophy Room, beside the screen where you can view extras, there is a wall with three lamps that you must light up. First, look around the stairs leading to the platform with the wall to find a button obscured by some boxes. Destroy the boxes and step on the button to power up the first lamp. Next destroy a black container to the right of the wall to get pieces which you can use to build a lever. Pull the lever to light up the second lamp. Finally, fly up to the ledge to the left of the TV set and you should see a lever. Destroy the silver rock in front of the lever and pull it to activate the final lamp. This causes a crate in front of the wall to open, letting you grab the token inside.

The Gray Ghost [ edit ]

In the Character Customiser, you have to find and destroy 5 electronic signs. The first one is up on a ledge near the entrance, the second is next to a vent opening, the third is on the right at the top of the first flight of stairs, the fourth one is in front of the Space Suit display and the fifth is below a spotlight. Once all are destroyed, some lasers in the wall will deactivate, letting you reach the flashing canister behind it. Attack the canister to get the token.

if I turn on this game, the game is not full screen on my laptop, even I have changed the resolution on my laptop, but it's still not full screen. So, what should I do

To help those who wanted to complete the game 100%, but something went wrong. / В помощь тем, кто хотел пройти игру на 100%, но что то пошло не так.

Honestly, I loved this game. It was lighthearted, whimsical, and frequently funny. The developers also clearly cared about DC's characters and settings, which led to a lot of cute Easter eggs and obscure callbacks.

Gameplay-wise, this is one of the 22+ Lego games that have come out over the past two decades. If you've played any of them before, you know what you're getting into. The movement, combat, puzzles, camera angles, and so on all work pretty well (except on a few experimental Super Mario Galaxy planetoid levels, where close quarters and the camera do NOT mix well). It's arguably designed to be a good introductory game for kids with just enough gameplay complexity, references, and risque humor to appeal to adults too. and I think it hits the mark.

As of this review, I have beaten the 16 base story missions, completed 4 of the 6 Lantern worlds, and have reached a completion percentage of 70.4% or so. It has been a ride and I still have five DLC levels, 12+ simulation challenges, and a smattering of collectibles to go. Not at all a bad amount of content for the price.

I did experience a few bugs, though. Specifically:

- Sometimes when you leave a Lantern world, the world's objects will load into the next setting and will, for lack of a better way to describe it, "superimpose" themselves upon it. So, you'll be in the Justice League Watchtower, but you'll be surrounded by the rocks, trees, and other debris of the previous Lantern planet. It's odd looking and pretty much breaks the game, but quitting to the main menu and then reloading your save solves it (with zero progress lost; the game auto-saves religiously, so I never lost anything).

- Apparently a Windows update or something glitched some of the older Lego games a while back. They stutter every now and then for a few seconds, with the game locking up and looking like it's going to crash before resuming. Sometimes the stutters come every 30 seconds, sometimes they come every three minutes, and sometimes you don't see one for an hour. I have found no rhyme or reason to it.

Running the game in Windows 7 compatibility mode as an administrator with "full screen optimizations" disabled notably reduced the frequency of stutters, but it didn't stop them. Playing the game with Steam in offline mode pretty much stopped them completely, but then you don't earn any achievements (at all. If you go back to online mode and load up the game, it won't give you credit for anything you did while offline. You'll have to redo all the achievement requirements again). So, you'll have to get used to the stutters. Considering this game came out in 2014, I wouldn't expect a patch. ever.

But I truthfully consider the above glitches relatively minor in the grand scheme of things. This is a great game and I'm genuinely grateful for the chance to have experienced it. I know the developers will never see this, but thank you for this lovely piece of fan-service. I loved it.

Official Description

In LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, the Caped Crusader joins forces with the super heroes of the DC Comics Universe and blasts off to outer space to stop the evil Brainiac from destroying Earth. Using the power of the Lantern Rings, Brainiac shrinks worlds to add to his twisted collection of miniature cities from across the universe. Now the greatest super heroes and the most cunning villains must unite and journey to different Lantern Worlds to collect the Lantern Rings and stop Brainiac before it’s too late.

Players around the world will unlock more than 150 unique characters from the DC Comics universe, including members of the Justice League and LEGO big figures such as Killer Croc, Solomon Grundy and many more. Fans of all ages will be able to control their favorite heroes and villains with new gadgets and abilities. Brainiac’s mind controlling abilities and the power of the Lantern rings bring unexpected twists to the classic characters’ personalities.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham also will allow players to explore iconic locations such as the Hall of Justice, the Batcave, the Justice League Watchtower, Lantern Planets, and even the moon. They will be able to access Batman’s training modules on the Bat Computer and take part in various challenges, battles, races, etc. while unlocking new characters and other collectibles.

Somewhere in space, Star Sapphire of the Star Sapphires, Sinestro of the Sinestro Corps, Atrocitus of the Red Lantern Corps, Saint Walker of the Blue Lantern Corps, Larfleeze of the Orange Lanterns, and Indigo-1 of the Indigo Tribe are summoned. They accuse each other of bringing each one to this part of space, but when they realize that none of them gathered each other, they are approached by Brainiac's forces.

In Gotham City, Batman and Robin pursue Killer Croc after he broke into the City Records Office. Batman and Robin find Killer Croc and his Croc Henchmen. Killer Croc runs through the sewers, where he runs into the Joker, Cheetah, Firefly, and Solomon Grundy. Killer Croc gives them the sewer maps.

Back up in space, many Lanterns are fighting against Brainiac's forces. Brainiac soon becomes annoyed that they are trying to defy him, so he controls their minds. They are brought into Brainiac's ship.

At the Hall of Justice, Green Lantern greets Cyborg, who is working on a Slideways Teleport system that will teleport anybody from the Hall of Justice to the Justice League Watchtower. Green Lantern is reluctant to go through the teleport, but he does so anyway, successfully ending up in the Watchtower (unharmed besides his leg piece being backward). Green Lantern is met by Martian Manhunter up in the Watchtower.

Batmanbat.jpg

Back at the Batcave, Batman sees a spaceship approaching Earth through his telescope. Batman takes Robin's suggestion to contact Martian Manhunter on the Justice League's communicator to check it out. When Batman looks at the spaceship again, he is mesmerized by a beam expelled from it, causing him to attack Robin and Alfred. Robin and Alfred work to snap Batman out of the trance he is in. After Robin uses the Bat-Vehicles to get Batman out of the Batmobile, Batman summons many bats. The energy controlling Batman ends up using the bats to form a larger Batman figure. Afterward, Robin tries to get through to Batman, which is enough to snap him out of his trance. Batman wonders who is trying to control his mind and why. At the Hall of Justice, Hawkman arrives, where he is ambushed by the Joker, Killer Croc, Cheetah, and Firefly. It turns out that Hawkman is actually Lex Luthor in disguise, plotting to get to the Justice League Watchtower and use its Binary Fusion Cannon to hold the world ransom and demand that he be made President. The real Hawkman is being held in the sewers under the Hall of Justice, trapped in a birdcage. Meanwhile, Solomon Grundy is stuck in the sewer hole and gets himself free. Back up in the Watchtower, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter, assisted by Batman, try to determine what the strange spaceship is. Their communication is halted when the Watchtower's communicators are shut down. Unauthorized use of the Slideways Teleport is detected; Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter learn of the Legion of Doom's presence on the Watchtower. Martian Manhunter alerts Cyborg, The Flash, Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Robin. They all head up to the Watchtower, except for Batman and Robin, who still need a ride up into space due to the Slideways Teleport system being shut down temporarily.

Lego Batman 3 Screenshhot 1.jpg

Upon assembling the Bat-Rocket, Batman and Robin head into outer space while Green Lantern investigates the spaceship. Martian Manhunter works to hold off Lex Luthor and his villainous allies, but Firefly traps Martian Manhunter in a ring of fire. Before Lex Luthor can get ahold of the Binary Fusion Cannon, the Justice League Watchtower's computer alerts the entire base of the Bat-Rocket's approach. Joker prepares to take out Batman "old school style." After destroying some Joker Rockets, Batman and Robin lose their respective vehicles. Before they can be blown up, Superman arrives and saves them. While Superman gets Robin onto the Justice League's jet, Batman works to find a way into the Justice League Watchtower with the help of Cyborg and Flash. Once inside the Justice League Watchtower, the Justice League members confront Lex Luthor and his associates. Flash and Wonder Woman face off against Cheetah and Firefly. When Cheetah is defeated, Firefly tries to burn Wonder Woman and Flash, only for Flash to put out the fires, including the ones surrounding Martian Manhunter. Martian Manhunter proceeds to knock out Firefly while Wonder Woman subdues Cheetah. Robin and Cyborg pursue Killer Croc and Solomon Grundy, and Cyborg's Giant Suit subdues the villains. Superman and Batman confront Lex Luthor and Joker, where they learn of Lex Luthor's plot with the Watchtower's Binary Fusion Cannon from Joker. Superman and Batman fight their way past LexBots and Joker Henchmen before Lex Luthor shows up in a larger Exo-Suit. Using his Electric Suit, Batman powers up an EMP device to disable Lex Luthor's Exo-Suit while Superman subdues Joker. With the villains defeated, the Justice League Watchtower informs everyone present that an unknown object is approaching. Martian Manhunter identifies the object that he sent Green Lantern to investigate. Brainiac contacts the Justice League Watchtowers and introduces himself. Brainiac states that he collects things throughout the universe by using his shrink ray to miniaturize cities throughout the galaxy, and is now interested in collecting worlds.

Screen1.jpg

It is shown that Brainiac is using the power rings of the captive Green Lantern, Star Sapphire, Sinestro, Atrocitus, Larfleeze, Saint Walker and Indigo-1 to power the crystals needed to shrink Earth. Superman does an attempt to stop Brainiac's shrink ray. Lex Luthor states that if Superman fails, they are going to need a Plan B. Batman, Robin, Cyborg, Flash, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, Joker, Killer Croc, Cheetah, and Solomon Grundy work together to infiltrate Brainiac's ship in order to rescue Green Lantern and the others from Brainiac. Due to the helmet that Robin was wearing after being regurgitated from Killer Croc, he is unaffected by Brainiac's mind-control and attacks Brainiac to keep him from controlling the heroes and villains present. When Batman, Robin, Joker, and Solomon Grundy take down Brainiac, Superman is shown to be getting close to stopping the shrink ray which causes it to overload. Brainiac then escapes to Earth as the shrink ray's explosion causes Green Lantern and the power ring wielders to disappear where their respectful energies from the Emotional Spectrum hits each one of the heroes and villains present, except for Superman, Batman, Robin (who is wearing the helmet), Martian Manhunter, Killer Croc, Cheetah, and Firefly. Due to the Emotional Spectrum, the many heroes and villains develop strong emotions. Cyborg fears everything, Flash becomes greedy, Wonder Woman becomes full of rage, Lex Luthor becomes hopeful, the Joker becomes very loving of everything and Solomon Grundy becomes compassionate. Batman and Wonder Woman pursue Superman, who has fallen to Earth. They follow him to Paris, France where the impact of his crash collapses the Eiffel Tower. Meanwhile, Hawkman, still in the cage under the Hall of Justice, gets out of his bonds but is unable to get out of the cage itself.

Back on Brainiac's ship, Cyborg tries to land Brainiac's ship in Gotham City. After Superman regains consciousness with Wonder Woman's help, Batman repairs the Eiffel Tower in his own image. After Wonder Woman kicks the Eiffel Tower where it collapses, Superman manages to repair it in the right appearance. Brainiac then arrives where he is now planning to shrink Earth's cities. Brainiac manages to shrink Paris and bottle it as Superman claims the bottle. Then they follow Brainiac to London, England where he manages to shrink it. Upon Batman claiming the bottle holding London, he, Superman, and Wonder Woman follow Brainiac to Pisa, Italy where Superman straightens the Leaning Tower of Pisa until Brainiac's ship leans it back to its original position and shrinks it. Before leaving, Brainiac leaves vowing that the Justice League won't stop him.

In outer space, Green Lantern fixes the Justice League Watchtower. Afterwards, he and Martian Manhunter are contacted by Batman to help them locate Brainiac. Martian Manhunter states that Brainiac is heading for Gotham City as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman head there. In Gotham City, Robin, Cyborg, Flash, Lex Luthor, Joker, Cheetah, and Solomon Grundy are confronted by Brainiac. Wonder Woman manages to bring Brainiac's ship down as he unleashes his robot clones while he escapes into his spaceship. Flash was able to create a cage to trap Brainiac's spaceship which will hold it there for awhile while both groups fall back to the Justice League Watchtower.

Back on the Justice League Watchtower, Robin reveals that he has a shard of the crystal used by Brainiac in his plot to shrink Earth. Superman states that he could use the crystals at the Fortress of Solitude to create a duplicate.

Zamaronian.jpg

Green Lantern suspects that the other power ring wielders were transported back to the source planets of their power rings. When Robin asks how they're going to get Sinestro, Atrocitus, and Larfleeze to help, Green Lantern states that they should get ahold of their power batteries where the energies contained should be enough to help. On Zamaron, Cyborg, Flash and Martian Manhunter are attacked by the Soldier Sapphires and the entity of love, The Predator. Afterwards, Star Sapphire agrees to help the Justice League. On Odym, Cyborg, Flash and Martian Manhunter answer a distress beacon from Saint Walker where he mentions that Odym is being invaded by Reach dropships. Upon disabling the Reach Mothership, Cyborg, Flash, and Martian Manhunter rescue Saint Walker and help defend the Blue Lantern power battery. Saint Walker agrees to help the Justice League. On Nok, Cyborg, Flash, and Martian Manhunter work to repair the power battery of the Indigo Tribe until they are attacked by Indigo-1 and the Indigo Tribe. When the Indigo Tribe's power battery is repaired, the tribe regains their compassionate traits, and Indigo-1 agrees to help the Justice League. On Ysmault, Green Lantern, Solomon Grundy, Batman (who is disguised as Joker), Robin (who is disguised as Lex Luthor), and Wonder Woman (who is disguised as Cheetah) all pursue Atrocitus and Bleez, when they summon the entity of rage: The Butcher. Upon

defeating The Butcher, Batman, Robin, and Wonder Woman distract Atrocitus while Green Lantern steals the power battery. On Okaara, Green Lantern, Solomon Grundy, Batman, Robin, and Wonder Woman (all wearing their disguises still) make plans to distract Larfleeze. When Larfleeze and his Orange Lantern constructs are defeated, Green Lantern creates a construct of himself so that he can steal the Orange Lantern power battery.

At the Fortress of Solitude, Superman, Lex Luthor (who is dressed as Wonder Woman), Joker (who is dressed as Batman), Killer Croc, Cheetah (who is dressed as Robin), and Firefly arrive as Superman works to compact the crystal samples into the right structure needed to undo the effects of Brainiac's shrink ray. As Brainiac works on getting his spaceship free of it's cage, Hawkman tries to get free from his cage with his actions unnoticed by the cleaning group upstairs (Kevin Smith and Geoff Johns). On Qward, Sinestro appears on the Justice League ship where he is not fooled by the act by Green Lantern's group resulting in Green Lantern taking Sinestro off the ship. After Batman, Robin, and Wonder Woman shed their disguises near the Sinestro Corps power battery, Sinestro traps Green Lantern in a marionette. Batman realizes that he must be afraid in order to obtain the Sinestro Corps power battery. He then sees Robin being pursued by a large Killer Croc construct created by Sinestro, and Batman becomes fearful that Robin will be harmed. Batman then claims the Sinestro Corps power battery. Upon Green Lantern's group retreating, Atrocitus and Larfleeze arrive prompting them and Sinestro to go after them.

Evilsuperman.jpg

Cyborg, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Star Sapphire, Saint Walker, and Indigo-1 arrive at the Fortress of Solitude. Green Lantern's group also arrives just as Sinestro, Atrocitus, and Larfleeze catch up. Upon the Justice League getting the rest of the Lanterns to focus their energy towards the crystal, Earth is restored to its normal size, the different Lanterns disappear, and the energies from the Emotional Spectrum disappear from its victims. The villains then leave as Flash goes to check on Brainiac. Flash returns and reports that Brainiac's ship has gotten free. Brainiac arrives at the Fortress of Solitude in his ship where he reveals that he had taken Gotham City and Metropolis on his way to the Fortress of Solitude. Superman suddenly grows in size as Brainiac mind-controls him. After Green Lantern returns and Batman uses a speech to break Brainiac's mind-control, Superman manages to stop Brainiac and obtain the shrink ray that is needed to restore Superman and the cities to their rightful sizes. The Justice League then leaves the Fortress of Solitude with Brainiac as their prisoner. The cities of the worlds have been restored to their rightful sizes.

At the White House, Lex Luthor is enjoying being President with his villain allies present until the Justice League arrives. With the villains arrested, Lex Luthor and Joker are sharing the same cell with a shrunken Brainiac. They end up shaking the jar Brainiac is in until they accidentally shatter it and he is restored to normal size causing Lex Luthor and Joker to cower at Brainiac.

Endcredits.jpg

During the credits, three different scenes occur:

  • Kevin Smith and Geoff Johns continue to clean up the Hall of Justice, and Hawkman is wondering if someone has called his wife, because he is still trapped within the cage and nobody can hear him.
  • Back on Qward, Sinestro vows to destroy the Earthlings as he bumps into Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet which takes off on its own.
  • At the Justice League Watchtower, Aquaman, Black Canary, Booster Gold, Green Arrow, Nightwing, Shazam, and Swamp Thing arrive through a Slideways teleport in a very familiar fashion.

During the credits, 1966 Batman and Robin are doing their Bat-Climb up a building as they pass windows containing Adam West, Aquaman, Bat-Cow, Conan O'Brien, Green Arrow, Green Loontern, Harley Quinn, Joker, Kevin Smith, and Mister Mxyzptlk. There is also a Tyrannosaurus Rex that appears on the outside of the building, and when it does, the Jurassic Park theme song plays in the background.

LEGO Batman 3 has a wealth of characters from DC's massive roster of superheroes and supervillains. Each character has a unique fighting style and special abilities that help you clear levels. You'll need to utilize every one of these abilities to get all the collectables, and fully unlock every character to get 100% completion.

Abilities [ edit ]

Ranged attack [ edit ]

By far the most common ability every character has is a ranged attack, usable by holding down the attack button. Ranged attacks come in two forms: singular projectiles and beams. For singular projectiles, you can target multiple objects while holding down the attack button to strike multiple objects in quick succession. Some thrown weapons can be fit into sockets and be used as poles by acrobatic characters, such as Robin's stick. Others can be used to activate bullseye targets. Beams are fired continuously, letting you move the target of the beam while holding the attack button. Both thrown projectiles and beams are mainly used for hitting distant or airborne items and enemies, but beams have the added bonus of being able to destroy multiple LEGO objects quickly.

Grappling hook [ edit ]

While crimefighting, you will encounter plenty of orange handles attached to various objects. Characters with grappling hooks can latch on to them and pull on the object, whether to move it or to break it apart. Grapples are also useful tools for getting up ledges.

Tech-savvy [ edit ]

A lot of technology and devices in your adventures require interaction through control panels. Only characters that are proficient in technology can successfully operate these control panels. Most of the time, using the control panel only requires you to mash a button, but it will occasionally present you with simple minigames that you need to solve.

Transformation and Suits [ edit ]

Some characters can transform into their civilian identities or into alternate forms. These transformations often grant new abilities while taking away original ones. Some, like Martian Manhunter, greatly expands the character's skillset. A new addition to the game is a suit-swapping system only accessible to a select few characters. These suits grant various abilities with some limitations, and must be unlocked one-by-one. The suits are described below:

  • Power Suit/Demolition Suit: Can launch explosive missiles that destroy silver-colored metal. Can also attach timed explosives to objects.
  • Sensor Suit: Grants super senses, the ability to see through green walls and stealth.
  • Stealth Suit: Only provides stealth.
  • Hazard Suit: Can suck up red, green and yellow objects, which can be used to fill waste processing machines. Also confers toxic immunity and a ranged air blast.
  • Techno Suit: Grants tech-savvy status. Can control miniature robots that can pass through R panels to reach secret areas. Both the character and the robot can hack into access ports.
  • Sonar Suit: Provides a sonic attack.
  • Space Suit: Grants limited flight. Must use fuel stations to lengthen flight time. Also has a heat-based laser beam.
  • Illumination Suit: Provides illumination that can light up dark areas. Must first be charged up from using a lightbulb station.
  • Artic Suit: Grants a freezing attack.
  • Electricity Suit: Lets you drain power from generators which will be stored. The stored charge can later be deposited into outlets to power machines.
  • Scuba Suit: Sink into the water. Comes with a harpoon gun.
  • Dive Suit: Sink into the water. Has a laser that cuts gold objects.
  • Magnet Suit: Can climb up blue surfaces. Can also be used to pull on blue objects to solve puzzles.
  • Sphere Suit: Activate a protective sphere. Can be used on sphere treadmills.
  • Giant Suit: Confers super strength
  • Flower Suit/Helmet Suit: Grants mind control
  • Shield Suit: Grants a shield to protect against fires and reflect beams.
  • Decoy Suit: Drops minions to assist you in battle.

Super strength [ edit ]

Characters with super strength are used for cracked walls. Their sheer power lets them punch through weakened surfaces to reveal secrets behind them.

Large size/Heavy lifting [ edit ]

Many characters that have super strength are larger than the rest, but it's possible to have normal-sized characters with super strength as well, such as Superman. However, only large characters can lift up objects with green handles. They can usually throw the object at a specific target afterward, which can also smash cracked walls. Unfortunately, large characters might not fit into some of the tighter spaces, and cannot assemble hopping LEGO bricks.

Flight [ edit ]

An extremely helpful ability is the power of flight. Flying lets you reach areas you otherwise can't get to on foot, as well as skip over some obstacles in levels during Free Play. Flying also protects you from falling to your death, as it will automatically activate the moment before you fall into an abyss or a lethal surface. Note that the fuel-based flight granted by the Space Suit lacks this ability.

Glide [ edit ]

A more rudimentary form of aerial movement. Certain characters can prolong their duration airborne by gliding. Unlike flight, they must move toward a direction and can only descend.

Super speed [ edit ]

Characters with super speed can use pads with a lightning symbol on them. These pads are usually near some flashing objects, which the user can build helpful tools out of. Super speedsters can also make use of treadmill generators to power up various machines in levels.

Super senses [ edit ]

In the middle of stages, you will often come across sparkling areas marked by swarms of bats. Using super senses while near the swarm of bats lets you uncover hidden items that are often required to progress. One of the most common traits in the game, you can expect any beastly characters or trained hunters to have this ability.

X-ray vision [ edit ]

X-ray vision lets a character see through green brick walls, often to manipulate pipelines or electronics hidden behind said walls. While it is a sub ability of super senses, not all characters with super senses possess X-ray vision.

Stealth [ edit ]

When moving through high security areas, you will find cameras that lock down certain areas the moment they spot a player nearby. The only way to sneak past these cameras is with the stealth ability. Unfortunately, enemy characters can still detect you in stealth with few exceptions.

Heat-based laser [ edit ]

A special category of beam, these attacks are notable for their ability to heat up and cut through golden objects. There are three applications of this ability: destroying golden objects, carving a hole out of golden walls or, in rare occasions, melt down frozen objects.

Freeze ray [ edit ]

Another type of beam, these attacks can be used in both combat and puzzle-solving. When fighting, it can encase enemies in ice, making them an easy target for you to break. It's also effective on puddles of water that look like LEGO studs, freezing them into intricate ice sculptures that is sometimes needed for collectibles.

Innate electricity [ edit ]

Characters with this ability can stun enemies by punching and charge up power outlets without draining electricity from generators before hand. It helps you save some time by skipping the search for a generator whenever you need to power up a machine. The Unlimited Electricity extra grants this ability to all characters with Electricity Suits.

Magnetism [ edit ]

Magnetism lets you manipulate blue metal objects, usually to bust open metal doors or bars.

Mind control [ edit ]

This sinister ability lets you take control of lesser minds, usually enemy goons or custodian workers. It works through walls, so it's often required to obtain collectibles located in inaccessible areas.

Sonic attack [ edit ]

Sonic attacks, whether in the form of a ray or a close-range blast, shatters glass and confuses enemies. Their glass-shattering trait is handy for nabbing collectibles.

Reflection [ edit ]

Characters with the ability to reflect beams usually make use of this ability on panels with a shield symbol on them. They can reflect otherwise deadly laser beams to destroy threats or solve puzzles. Wonder Woman is the most notable character with this ability.

Sphere [ edit ]

Some characters can form a sphere around them which protects against enemy attacks, while allowing them to turn sphere conveyors. The most notable characters with this ability is Green Lantern and the Sphere Suit users.

Invincibility [ edit ]

One of the best and rarest abilities in the game, this perk leaves you totally invulnerable to all enemy attacks, but you can still be knocked back by harmful barriers or die by falling into pits. Superman is the poster boy of this ability, but other Kryptonians share it as well.

Regeneration [ edit ]

Another trait that is purely for survival, this ability lets characters regenerate lost hearts after a short while. It's not very useful due to the abundance of heart drops from defeated enemies, and because dying in this game doesn't result in any major penalties.

Toxic immunity [ edit ]

Characters with toxic immunity can move through puddles of glowing green goo without getting harmed. This ability is mainly found on Hazard Suit users, but some other characters have this trait as well.

Power Ring [ edit ]

All Lanterns have special power rings that lets them create constructs. Simply stand on a panel that looks like a lantern symbol to have them automatically create a construct suitable for the situation. Power Rings also have other abilities, such as firing shots at enemies or creating protective shields.

Dig [ edit ]

You can frequently find conspicuous piles of dirt on the ground. Characters with claws, power rings or any shovel-like tools can dig up these dirt piles to get useful items underneath.

Grate-warping [ edit ]

Red grates can be found in various places on both walls and floors. Several characters can pass through a grate to travel to another grate. The color palette of the grate suggests that Plastic Man is the main user of this ability, although there are others that can make use of them.

Martian portal user [ edit ]

A more exotic kind of warp looks like a green vortex with bits of red circling around it. Only characters of the Martian species can make use of these odd portals.

Shrink ray [ edit ]

Brainiac's ray gun has the exclusive ability to shrink or enlarge black, sparkling objects. He can use this ability to remove obstructions.

Plasticity [ edit ]

Only Plastic Man has this perk. When standing on a rad pad with stripes, he can transform into a specific vehicle or item to perform a specific task, almost always to get the Red Brick of a stage.

Swamp patch [ edit ]

Swamp patches look like a large circle of sand with grass growing around them. Only two characters can make use of this: Solomon Grundy and Swamp Thing. When used, they will dive into the swamp patch to dig up an item that would be useful in that specific situation.

Plant patch [ edit ]

Very rarely you will encounter a bush full of plants of varying colors. Poison Ivy can use these bushes to warp to another similar bush, which is needed to obtain some collectibles.

Minimize [ edit ]

A very rarely used ability that shrinks your character down to a tiny size to enter small openings. Only The Atom can perform this move. Activating the Mini Characters extra has the same effect.

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham has had 9 DLC packs released so far, 7 of them being paid DLC. Note that the availability of these packs may not be consistent across all platforms.
