LEGO DC Super-Villains is a charmingly funny game that combines the joy of LEGO with the creative coolness of the DC roster. The game isn't hard by any means, but it's a great casual romp through an interesting story. The massive roster is impressive and the detail put into each character makes each one of them worth putting time into.

The LEGO formula may be growing tired at this point, but LEGO DC Super-Villains is still one of the best games TT Games has produced and is an excellent use of the DC licence.

Overall, while it’s still mostly the same as previous titles in the Lego series, Lego DC Super-Villains offers some much needed twist in terms of story, shining a light on the life of the bad guys and girls in the comic book universe. Add in the superb voice acting, the many different powers that you get to wield as the villains, as well as the huge amount of activities scattered throughout its open world and you’re bound to have a good time being bad.

There are few cute changes to the well known LEGO way of gaming, but the story is so hard to follow and the many characters that are not too well known make it even more chaotic. Too bad, cause this game is really funny, combined with excellent voice acting.

This new LEGO game is mostly very atmospheric thanks to the setting, the characters and the story. Creating your own character is a great feature but apart from that, LEGO DC Super-Villains is still built on the archaic LEGO-game template. Which means all the criticism aimed at LEGO games in general, apply here too. Familiar bugs, messy coop multiplayer, not enough buttons et cetera. You know exactly what you're going to get if you've played any other LEGO game in the past. Worth it if you really like the DC universe.

The collectibles are easier to amass, the puzzles have some challenge, and the character creation is enjoyable. If nothing else, you get to hear Mark Hamill’s sillier version of the Joker. That alone makes the price of admission worth it.

Ultimately, Lego DC Super-Villains goes down as another cookie-cutter Lego game, and while there's still plenty of merry mayhem to unleash, it's the same kind of mayhem we've seen before. What should be as wild and riotous as the Clown Prince of Crime comes off as just another mild-mannered reporter.

The wide cast of characters from DC Comics are all given their own personal charms to differentiate each and every one of the nearly 200 character roster. No longer do characters feel "copy and pasted," as the animations for each character really set them apart. The character customizer is also the best yet, with a plethora of new options added to truly expand who you can create.

On the other hand, if you're not into LEGO games, or haven't played one before, this is an excellent way to start. They're simple, stress-free games that are fun for all ages. I really enjoyed the pre-2012 (mumble) lego games and I always thought the dialogue took something away from the games. That being said, this is one of the first lego games post 2012 that I genuinely liked. The dialogue and voice acting was actually pretty good. Mark Hamel voiced the joker which was awesome. One addition that was appreciated was the open world area where you can mess around with characters and do miniquests. It's an evolution of lego games that actually feels like a major improvement. The main reason I took off points was because of the mission design and the slew of abilities and powers. The levels are more like one or two condensed areas that have too much stuff going on. The older games had the level design a bit more spread out and adventurous which I really prefer to cluttered and claustrophobic. It's also a bit overwhelming with how many different abilities you have to remember exist and some abilities are only used by one or two characters. As you’d expect, LEGO DC Super-Villains doesn’t make many attempts to change up the formula that’s served it so well for so long, but with a vast library of well-applied and famous baddies to draw from it offers a far more engaging and memorable story than the stretched-too-thin LEGO The Incredibles. However, with a brilliant cast on hand (can anyone really compare to Hamill’s Joker?), a vast sandbox hub and all the customisation options you could want in Danish brick form, this familiar playground still has bags of charm.

LEGO DC Super-Villains brings the Lego series back to a Nintendo console and it goes without saying that this is a very welcome return. Thanks to a fun and comical plot, a high number of characters to choose from and major technical progress, LEGO DC Super-Villains keeps the overall quality of the Lego series while adding to it some much needed updating and renovation.

A Lego game with an original story featuring a who’s who of DC villains (and a few heroes for good measure), a universe of great locations, and plenty of bricky humor. A few game killing bugs do hinder the overall experience (at least on Switch), but otherwise Lego DC Super-Villains is a blast to play, either alone or with another aspiring no-goodnick.

LEGO DC Super-Villains shows that sometimes it is good to be bad. Of course it doesn’t break the LEGO genre mold, but I’m fairly certain everyone who is reading this or buying this game, knows what they’re in for. While you have to push through the same tired mechanics, the game’s story and stellar voice acting will have you wanting more. Just remember to look out for the Joker and the villains of the night!

If you love Lego games or have younger people around that do, then this game is one of the more fun ones in a while. The overall Lego formula stays the same, for better or worse. But if you’re a DC fan they’ve once again gone all out on their characters, references and voice actors. Lego DC Villains brings together some of the well-known characters and the lesser-known, and chucks them into a decent story to make for a fun time.

LEGO DC Super-Villains distracts from its repetitive and formulaic gameplay with typical LEGO charm, great character interactions, and mirror-sheen polish. Ultimately, however, it’s just a nice coat of paint on a framework that’s on its last legs.

SI jugaste algún juego de Lego es más de lo mismo, es un juego para chicos en el cual tienes controles simples y acertijos fáciles de cumplir para poder progresar en la historia o desbloquear cosas en el mundo abierto. Todo bien detallado para recrear sitios como Ciudad Gótica y Metrópolis.
Hasta la actualización 1.0.3 tenía problemas para jugar en el mundo abierto de forma portátil con la Nintendo Switch, una vez que cambiaba los personajes cualquier cosa podía hacer que el juego se cierre. Pero con la actualización el juego se volvió fluido, sin errores.

LEGO DC Super-Villains offers a lot of great things to like, despite my small quibbles. The title makes up for redundant core gameplay with its sheer variety of playable characters, robust character creation suite, and abundance of side content to complete. Meanwhile, its relatively by-the-books story is bolstered by phenomenal voice acting and classic LEGO charm. It may not be the mature, gritty super-villains game that many would like, but LEGO DC Super-Villains is still worth your time and money.

It’s good to be bad in LEGO DC Super-Villains and you should let out your inner Joker by getting involved… but there’s a bit of room for improvement in this one. Batman still reigns supreme in the LEGO DC realm.

LEGO DC Super-Villains is an entertaining, more of the same installment in the LEGO series, mainly shining thanks to the interesting story and the character creation system. But TT Games' series definitely needs a long-overdue gameplay and structure refresh.

A very solid and fun Lego game that tries to undo some of the more tired series trends by offering up a more interesting and varied style of humour, deeper puzzles and fighting mechanics but most importantly being less buggy. It's really a great title, and though some fans may find the gameplay still a bit stale, anyone who gives it a shot should find plenty of fun to be had and lots of value for money.

LEGO DC Super-Villains doesn’t take any risk and stays true to the old formula. But it’s still well-crafted and it’s a good fit for any youngster trying to step in the gaming world.
