Playing together to make an amazing tree house makeover
Olivia is on a mission to give the tree house a makeover but painting on her own is taking forever! However, she’s not alone. Her friends join her to show her everything is better together.
Creative Friends Come Together to Fix up the Tree House – LEGO® Friends
Mia, River and Jackson have a surprise for Olivia. They’ve nearly finished building the tree house! It needs a few finishing touches, so Olivia pulls out the tools she’s brought in her cargo bike and joins the team painting and perfecting until the tree house looks amazing. Everyone gets involved, with Mia and River grabbing paint rollers and Jackson delivering supplies in the wind-powered elevator. Now the repairs are complete, the team can set to work making bird boxes and collecting honey to sell to raise money for good causes. When the work’s done it’s time to play on the giant swing and slide. As evening draws in the friends gather in the den for pizza and a sing-along and some stargazing with Olivia’s telescope on the roof.

The LEGO® Group/LEGO® Systems A/S commissioned an animated television series to accompany the debut of the LEGO® Friends line in 2012. The animated television series is principally produced by the studio iterations of M2 Entertainment and Picture This Studio. Duckling & Sonne and Sound Earest added to the production until the Netflix series in 2016. An associated array of LEGO® Friends webisodes of 2D-animated shorts of up to 5 minutes length was released on YouTube as its third incarnation.
Although shown on-air as simply Friends followed by the episode title underneath, the first season was branded as LEGO® Friends: Friends Are Forever and also acts as the Friends' first incarnation. The second season branded as LEGO® Friends: United as One and the third season as LEGO® Friends: Friends Together Again acted as the second incarnation which features the animation production with more dark-shadow gradients on the characters. This continued in the third incarnation with an exclusive Netflix original series; LEGO® Friends: The Power of Friendship / Friends: The Power of Friendship. LEGO® Friends of Heartlake City / Friends of Heartlake City acts as the fourth and final season of Friends under that animation interface. The series appear in forms of half-hour TV episodes branded as specials that are aired every so often. The series features the 5 BFFs; Andrea, Emma, Mia, Olivia and Stephanie, alongside some recurring characters in Heartlake City.
On January 3, 2018, the Friends line's fourth and current incarnation: Girls on a Mission, with a complete animation revamp began broadcast on the same networks as the previous incarnations only for the first season and via YouTube since its second season onwards although multiple TV networks air them to suit their broadcast schedule, most notably Pop in the UK & Ireland and Nine Network in Australia. In 2019, Picture This Studio was renamed M2 Animation and combines with M2Film for the episode production to this day.

Но каковы причины этого изменения?
Во-первых, все 5 друзей никуда не делись, они все по-прежнему здесь, и это главное. Андреа, Миа, Эмма, Стефани и Оливия. Также неизменными остаются главные интересы и личности персонажей.
То, что вы увидите в 2018 году, - это эволюция друзей LEGO, прогрессия истории и персонажей, чтобы дети получили еще больший игровой опыт. Потому что каждый год более миллиона детей и родителей обращаются в компанию и делятся тем, что они любят и что хотели бы изменить. В дополнение к изменениям для Андреа, Эммы, Мии и Оливии, и Даниэль сильно изменился и подрос (изменился даже цвет глаз):
Теперь три девочки с карими глазами, одна с голубыми, одна с зелеными. Мальчик из голубоглазого стал кареглазым, так что кареглазые теперь значительно преобладают.
Кем можно их считать?
Судя по внешнему виду, Стефани, вероятно, американка (а почему бы нам не считать ее русской?). Андреа - афроамериканка, Оливия - теперь испанка (латинос) или мулатка, Эмма - азиатка, а Миа, возможно, ирландка или шотландка.

Трудно привыкнуть
Хотелось бы, чтобы в этот мир просто добавили больше персонажей, а не меняли основных, к которым мы уже привыкли. Новая цветовая схема пока что кажется не такой естественной, как раньше. Возможно, улыбки теперь чересчур заметные. Если вы собирали Лего Френдс лет 5 и уже привыкли к старому виду минифигурок, новые могут показаться "не теми". Правда, и люди меняются с возрастом. Но любимые персонажи превратились в других людей, и есть ощущение, что вы больше их не знаете. Не все любят перемены в линиях игрушек, так что нужно будет привыкнуть.
И трудно объяснить, как насчет детей, которые идентифицировали себя с оригинальным тоном кожи Оливии, который теперь вдруг изменился? Почему они просто не представили нового персонажа? Изменения в других персонажах не слишком радикальны, но Оливия изменилась кардинально.
Поклонниками были высказаны всевозможные теории: цветные контактные линзы, повреждение глаз из-за слишком большого времени, проведенного в солярии, экстремальные завивки, но самый простой ответ заключается в том, что через пять лет существования линия немного обновляется. В течение пяти лет Heartlake City был относительно однородным городом - теперь он будет более подробно отражать мир, в котором хочет играть целевой рынок.

Оливия
Самое очевидное различие заключается в том, что новая Оливия имеет более темный тон кожи (если раньше ее можно было считать европейкой, теперь она, судя по всему, латиноамериканка) и теперь носит очки. Ее прическа также немного отличается, с косой спереди.
Цвет глаз Эммы изменяется от темно-зеленого до карего. И немного изменилась форма глаз.
Андреа
Новая Андреа также получает изменение цвета глаз от зеленого до карего. Цвет губ стал темнее. Новая прическа длиннее и свободнее, волосы теперь очень напоминают дреды.
Пока Эмма и Андреа переключаются с зеленых на карие глаза, глаза Мии меняются с карих на зеленые. Ее губы теперь имеют другой тон.
Стефани
Стефани, по сравнению с другими героинями, практически не изменилась.
Новые арты
На новых иллюстрациях девочки выглядят намного более юными, как в младшей школе, а не в средней школе, как это было с оригинальными рисунками. Если они выглядят такими молодыми, как они могут отправляться в такие сумасшедшие приключения? Если только в своих фантазиях. Когда линия игрушек "молодеет", это может оказаться неудачным ходом (как мы уже видели это на примере кукол Monster High, ребут которых стал настоящим провалом).
