Where's the Gold Brick in the Library?
my gold brick detector keeps pointing right in front of the left bookcase next to the door that won't open

me too, i am also being pointed to a gold brick while in the area for the dorm rooms it
points far left but i cannot go any further left than slytherin doorway

You need a strong person

well first i think you need to use leviosa on some parts in the slytherin before the
common room to make 2 levers that form in the 2 pools of water there (i think). and then
get a strong person (Hagrid, Krum, Fang the dog) to pull both of them. thats the gold
brick that arrow is pointing to (its weird i know)

there's also a gold brick in diagon alley that also just leads me off the edge to the left
and in the gold brick shop the arrow keeps pointing to the lady in there and i've already

Court Yard Gold Brick

To get the gold brick in the Court Yard, indicated as being by the pendulum, get a dark
magic character and destroy the man in the suit of armour. Reasemble the bits into a broom
stick. Fly up and collect the studs in a diamond shape. Once collected some more studs
appear. Keep collecting all the studs until the gold brick appears.

There is a hat that you can jinx on the balcony on the right side of the room. Once you
jinx it, the gold brick will appear, provided that you have already taken care of the
similar hats in other places at Hogwarts.

Throughout Hogwarts there are 50 students who need your help. You can find one in each of the 24 levels of the game, while the other 26 must be found while free-roaming around Hogwarts. This post contains a complete list of all 50 students in peril and how to help them.

Gryffindor Common Room

Cast a spell onto the the sofa with the boy sleeping on it. When the sofa spits him out again, hit the student with a spell to straighten him out.

Entrance Hall

On the left side of the room the student is hanging from a portrait. Hit the bookcase below him to knock the books off of it then use Wingardium Leviosa on them to build platforms up to the student. Go up to him and he will jump down to safety.

Clocktower Courtyard

A Gryffindor boy is being bullied by three Slytherins. hit each one of them with a spell to scare them off.

The Grounds

You can find the student near the entrance to Hagridʼs garden trapped in some Devilʼs Snare. Use Lumos to free him.

Quidditch Pitch

To the left of the tent there is a billboard with a ledge underneath, the student is trapped on there. Underneath the ledge is a large roll of canvas. Use Wingardium Leviosa on it to lay it out as a trampoline for the student to jump down.

Great Hall Courtyard

Hit the large Slytherin banner so it unfolds and the student will fall out of it.

Clocktower

As soon as you enter the room you will be able to see the student stuck on the wall with a spiderʼs web. Hit the web to break it open and free the student.

Owlrey

On the ground floor walk over to the two owls holding up what looks like a large scroll. As you approach, the owls will unfold the scroll and the student will fall out.

Hagrid’s Garden

When you have gotten all the food out of the picnic basket, use Wingardium Leviosa on it again to shake out a seed. Use magic to make the seed grow into a pumpkin which will sort the student out for you.

Hagrid’s Garden (Time Turner)

When you have used the time turner, you can find the student trapped under a pumpkin in the right hand corner of the garden. Get rid of the pumpkin to free the student.

Herbology Greenhouse (2)

Make the strength potion and pull the lever in the left hand corner to free him from the behind the bars.

Owlrey (Time Turner)

When you have used the time turner you can see the student trapped in the bird feeder in the middle of the room. All you have to do to free him is to hit him with a spell.

Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom (Right)

Use Reducto on the chest beside the blackboard then tip out itʼs contents and build them into an entrance to a secret passageway. Go in through the new door and build the cog that is in front of you which is attached to a small platform. When the cog is in place jump onto the platform so you can jump up to reach the student and free him from the spiderʼs web.

This guide to LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 contains a complete set of information that each young magician needs in order to finish the game in 100%. Apart from some basic information on the gameplay mechanics, Hogwarts, spells and The Leaky Cauldron you will find a description of all the mission you have to complete during each year spent in the castle as well as a detailed description of the bonus items - Red and Gold Bricks, Character Tokens and Crests. Additionally you will find a map of Hogwarts which will prevent you from getting lost in this castle, full of passages and corridors. There's also a list of bonus locations and characters in a convenient form.

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 in a nutshell

LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 is an adventure action game. You play as a young wizard called Harry Potter, a fictional character created by J.K. Rowling. You will accompany him on his various adventures that happened during his first four years in Hogwarts.

To some extent, the game offers an open structure. Besides the main storyline, you can explore Hogwarts freely and look for additional missions. This gives you a chance to meet with characters known from the books and movies. You can also participate in lessons, learn spells or fly on a broom.

Starting tips

How to complete the game in 100%? - you have to complete every single mission (24 in total) with True Wizard status, complete house crests, rescue all students (50 in total), collect all Red (20 in total) and Gold (200 in total) Bricks, collect all 167 character tokens. Besides that, you also have to purchase all character tokens, Red Bricks, and additional spells.
Destroy every object you come across - collect studs to unlock True Wizard status. You will also need them to purchase new characters or other bonuses available in the Diagon Alley.
You won't always get True Wizard status during your first playthrough - don't worry if you won't be able to get True Wizard status in a mission - you have to replay each of the missions to get bonus items. Try to find all Red multiplier bricks before you start replaying levels - multipliers stack up (giving you a maximum multiplier of x3840) which will give you a lot of studs.
Not every character is able to perform all actions - some characters have unique skills, e.g. they are able to read signs on a wardrobe and open it, goblins can open lockers (they are carrying keys), characters who use Dark Magic can access places that aren't available to others.
Look for Red Bricks - if you have problems with location a specific bonus, find Red Bricks that will point you towards it.

Башня Гриффиндора. Спальня мальчиков. Нужно открыть сундук, расположенный рядом с кроватью Гарри (и клеткой совы).

Каменный круг (левее хижины Хагрида). Нужно собрать тучу из серых дисков, поднять её и перемещать эту тучу слева-направо, справа-налево, пока не вырастет 4 группы цветов. Эти цветы нужно разбить.

Большой зал. Нужно найти индейку на дальнем краю стола, расположенного слева, послать в неё заклинание и подождать, пока закончится её анимация.

Подсобное помещение в кабинете Снегга. Нужно найти 3 зелёных ключа, открыть ими замки, собрать лестницу слева-направо (нужны: Крюкохват, ученик Пуффендуя (или Профессор Дамблдор).

Гостиная Когтеврана. Нужно собрать огромную птицу, используя детали, которые лежат на полу. Птице нужно оказать внимание, в виде заклинания.

Совятня. Нужно использовать маховик времени, подняться на 2 этаж, собрать проектор и применить к нему заклинание.

Запретная секция библиотеки. Шкаф, который находится рядом с правым дальним углом. Нужно расставить книги согласно цветам их обложек.

Кабинет защиты от тёмных искусств (Ридикулюс!). Подсобное помещение с шестернями. Нужно победить 5 боггартов, которые появляются из сундуков.

Рядом со стадионом. Используем маховик времени. В правом дальнем углу находится большая льдина, которую нужно расколоть.

Подсобное помещение в кабинете Заклинаний (Люмос!). Нужен тёмный персонаж-змееуст (Том Реддл, Волан-де-морт), а также Крюкохват

По поводу 19ой Детали: Как попасть в кабинет дамблдора? Пройти игру на 100%? (Я сейчас где-то на уровне после полёта дракона в Турнире Триуизард (или как там его, на 4ом году…) Феникс имеется ввиду который на лестнице перед портретом собаки, играющей в квофл?

От модератора: поиграйте со стойками у входа кабинет. А насчёт квофла – нужно бегать по всей лестнице, отправляя в него заклинание, пока он не попадёт наверх.

Я уже зажёг огонь на стойках… Этого мало?
Может в дамблдора надо превратиться? (Гарри, Рон или Гермиона) не поднимаются на фениксе. Феникс же перед последним этажом находится? Или это не тот феникс?

Ясно… Значит, в русской версии игры пройти в комнату Дамблдора не удастся… Там нет активности заклинания “Вингардиум Левиоса” на статуэтку… А после полного прохождения истории вернуться в Хогвартс можно? Нет?

И вообще это прохождение версии PlayStation, вполне вероятно что в ПК версии не предусмотрено попадание к Дамблдору…

От модератора: в данном плане разницы нет, ибо русская и английская версия, в целом, отличаются только парой строк в исполняемом файле. Ну а Вингардиуум левиоза нормально срабатывало у нас на ПК 😉 В общем, внимательнее исследуйте эту локацию. Возможно, упустили мелочь. Применяйте заклинания ко всему, что там видите. Так заведено в этой игре.

От модератора: это у Филиуса Флитвика. После изучения Редукто на 4-м году найти недалеко от люка головоломку и разгадать её. Может потребоваться Крюкохват и оборотное зелье для превращения в Крюкохвата Рона. В общем, – немного логики и внимания – всё будет в порядке)

У меня небольшой вопрос. Я поиграл почти во все игры лего и я не понимаю что значит “Детальки персонажей”. Подскажите пожалуйста.

От модератора: активируйте и заметите, что при разрушении персонажа из него выпадут детали-монетки, которые можно будет собрать, частично восполнив потерю.

Gold Bricks Locations Guide

There are 200 gold bricks scattered throughout the world of Lego Harry Potter. Here’s a few hints that should get you started and closer to that target of 200 and remember once you reach 200 put the bricks together at Knockturn Alley (down the path from Diagon Ally / across the street from the Owl Emporium) and go into the bonus level. As soon as you enter, then you will unlock the Dark Lord himself, Lord Voldemort, as a playable character.
