Emulation Information

Wii Remote Pointer Hiding

When the Wii Remote pointer is held perfectly still in Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, the game relocates it off screen. It is unknown why titles do this. With real Wii Remotes, there is usually enough movement to ensure this does not happen, but with emulated Wii Remotes, it is very easy to see. It has been reproduced on console and is not a bug in Dolphin.

Problems

3rd Level Grey Screen

That a light on the 3rd level causes a weird graphical bug. When moved out of view the game works normally, but when the light is on the screen everything goes grey. Refer issue 10648 .

Cutscene Twitching

During cutscenes the subtle twitches occur, perhaps related to odd aspect ratio adjustments. Refer issue 10648 .

Cutscenes

During cutscenes characters sometimes disappear and the entire screen is covered in a filter of glassy rectangles with the image behind the filter having two copies, superimposed to the left and right of the original.

Configuration

No configuration changes are known to affect compatibility for this title.

Version Compatibility

The graph below charts the compatibility with Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues since Dolphin's 2.0 release, listing revisions only where a compatibility change occurred.

LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues is a 2009 video game developed by Traveller's Tales and published by LucasArts. The game was released on November 17, 2009 for the Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable and Windows PC.

The Mac OS X version of the game was released by Feral Interactive on 16 May 2011. [1] There was going to be a PlayStation 2 release of the game, but it got cancelled most likely due to the system losing its popularity.

The levels from the original game are tweaked, and new ones have been added, e.g. the Shanghai car chase from The Temple of Doom.

Overview

The game allows gamers to play a "tongue-in-cheek take on all four cinematic adventures," [2] including the latest film in the franchise, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which was not included in the previous game. The gameplay will consist of the same drop in/out co-op play as all of the previous game, but will have a split screen function, which will appear when one character goes off screen, and disappear when the character gets closer to the second one. Another new feature is the level builder, were you can make your own adventures by creating levels and linking them in a chain. This feature though was only used once more in Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 before it was removed in all future Lego video games afterwards. The main process is to choose environments, and place various levers, push boxes, buttons and weight plates and link them by a red line to traps and mechanisms, with the line disappearing once the level is being played. Props, such as tents, boxes, statues and plants, and enemies and bosses such as guards and spiders can be placed, as well as water, lava, and quicksand. There are new level hubs, but instead of one, like Barnett College in the first, there are one for each of the movies.

Accuracy

The game is less accurate to the original and the Crystal Skull movies, because the story line put into the game doesn't consist of what had happened in the movies; this includes several monster boss battles, monkeys stealing the sunstones, Indiana Jones being ambushed by Russians aboard a train, Oxley being kidnapped by the Ugha, and the Well of Souls being directly underneath the maproom.

Layout

Each movie contains two puzzle levels, one involving a boss, a vehicle chase, a brawl, and a giant boss battle. Each level is only one room long. Most of the game's boastings are about the level builder, split screen, and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Drawbacks

This game, however, includes some disabilities including being unable to view cutscenes when not in levels, lack of secrets in the main levels, returning to hub after each level, few characters and customizable parts, five levels instead of six for a movie, and also shorter levels. After completing a level, players would return to the hub and the entrance to next level would be discovered, sometimes involving a character unlocked in a level. Also, after beating a story level, a treasure mode replacing free play becomes available, where the players would need two different characters to pass a puzzle and retrieve an artifact. Artifacts can be found in bonus levels. After collecting all ten artifacts, a super bonus city level would be unlocked.

Description [ edit ]

Each of the four Indiana Jones movies is its own subtheme of the license and produced at least two LEGO sets. They all feature Indiana Jones himself, who is searching for some priceless relic - the Ark of the Covenant, the Sankara Stones, the Holy Grail, or the Crystal Skull - and trying to survive the predations of enemy soldiers, hostile natives, blood-thirsty cultists, rival archaeologists, and gangsters.

Set in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s, the theme is one of the closest that LEGO has come to producing a military line, due to Indiana Jones' frequent run-ins with German and Soviet forces. However, most of the military minifigures in the line have generic designs with no official military insignia, and heavy combat vehicles such as tanks were not produced.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is the first movie in the Indiana Jones series. In Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones is lead on a rumor that the Nazis (German soldier) were on an exhibition located in Cairo in search of the Lost Ark of the Covenant, lead by Rene Belloq, a long time rival of Indy. Indiana Jones arrives in Cairo and manages to locate the exact location of the Ark before the Nazis.

Indiana Jones, the Archeologist and professor, traveled to Shanghai to make a deal with Lao Che. It all goes wrong when his old time friend, Wu Han, was killed by Chen, Lao Che's son. Indy escapes with Willie Scott and Short Round onto an airplane. Unfortunately for them, the airplane is owned by Lao Che Airlines, so once it runs out of fuel, the pilots parachute down, leaving Indy, Willie, and Short Round to save themselves. They jump down on an inflatable raft and miraculously survive. The trio find themselves in India were they come across Pankot Palace. They soon discover, however, that the palace is home to the mysterious and human-sacrificing Thuggee cult led by Thugge High Priest Mola Ram. After a failed attempt to try an steal the Sankara Stones, Indy is forced to drink the blood of Kali, turning him evil. Just as Willie Scott is about to be sacrificed, Short Round breaks Indy from his trance and the three go rushing down a mine track to safety. After a battle on a bridge, Mola Ram is defeated, and two of the three Sankara Stones are lost to the river, Indy returns the remaining Sankara Stone it's village, and all is well.
