Lego indiana jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull

Обновлено: 02.05.2024

The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Part 3 playset is not accessible until after you've completed all 5 Story Levels in Part 2.

When you enter this hub only a small area near the top of the map is accessible, but the first five characters—Indiana Jones, Marion, Mutt, Oxley and Mac—are already unlocked. There isn't much to do here except follow the green arrow through the archway into the first level. Later, when you've completed a few more Story Levels, you'll be able to explore more of the hub map. Then you can gather studs, collect Colored Bricks, and unlock more Characters and Vehicles.

Level Entrances

As in the other hubs, the Story Level entrances are indicated by green arrows and Treasure Levels by gold arrows. Bonus Levels are usually hidden or require particular Characters or Vehicles to reach them. If you're having trouble figuring out where to go next, check the aerial views below and/or refer to the Story Level, Treasure Level and Bonus Level introductions.

There is only one Super Bonus Level in each hub. In order to access it you must earn 10 Artifacts by beating each Treasure and Bonus Level. The artifacts are collected in one place on the map. When you have them all, use them to construct the level entrance. For details, see the Super Bonus Level page.

The game introduction includes some helpful notes on replaying levels.

WARNING: The information below, including hub maps, vehicle races and other events, CONTAINS SPOILERS. Do not scroll down if you don't want to see this info. Instead, use the links in the hub menu (above right) to skip to the section you want.

Races & Other Challenges

(Click any of the screenshots below to enlarge.)

CAR BOAT RACE: The Car Boat is available to buy as soon as you enter this hub map. (See the Vehicles page for details.) However, you won't be able to start this race until you finish the 2nd Story Level. After that, the Car Boat can be found near the waterfall and the skull-shaped cave that forms the entrance to the 3rd Story/Treasure Level.

The start of this race is just below the waterfall, near the stone circle (R1 on the Hub Maps above). Drive out of the water and through the starting gate. Then head up the road on the left side of the map, cross the first natural stone bridge, continue toward the big UFO and then head down the river and over the falls, finishing the race near the stone circle in the bottom right corner of the map.

When you beat this race, the Russian Officer appears near the finish line.

The screenshots below show the starting and finish lines. If you need visuals for the entire course, just click the "More Screenshots" link below.

JEEP RACE: The Army Jeep is sitting just beyond the finish line for the Car Boat race (above). Pay 30,000 studs to unlock it. Then drive a little to the right to find the starting line for this race (R2 on the Hub Maps above). Approach it moving from right to left. Then continue to the left along the bottom of the map. There's a set of wooden ramps just ahead, but it's easier to drive through the water than to jump over it. Continue through the next stone circle and up the road that runs along the left side of the map. Ignore the stone bridge and just keep following the road upward, then around to the right. Cross the small, wooden bridge and continue along a narrow ledge above the river. When you come to the third stone circle, follow the road that leads up toward the top right corner of the map. The finish line is just ahead.

Winning this race unlocks the Russian Machine Gunner and the Ice Cream Van. Both appear near the third stone circle.

SKULL SCAVENGER HUNT: This is a footrace that involves quite a bit of jumping, so you want to use one of the female characters: Marion or Agent Spalko.

Before starting this challenge, make sure you've built the ladder in the bottom right corner of the map. You may already have done this while hunting for colored bricks. If not, go down there now. Pick up the box of bits near the tents and drop it on the green plate on the right. Then use the leftover bits to build the ladder.

The challenge itself begins near the small pyramid where you enter the 4th level. (Look for the 'L4' and 'R3' markers on the Hub Maps, above, if you're not sure where to go.) In the corner behind the small pyramid, you'll find a big LEGO skull. Hit it to start this challenge. When you do, a brief cut scene shows 6 more giant skulls appearing around the lower part of the map. The goal is to run to each of these skulls and hit it before time runs out. There is no on-screen timer like in the other races, but the skulls sparkle as long as they remain active. And when you hit one, its headdress changes from red to green so you can be sure you've activated it.

Again, start by hitting the 1st skull in the corner behind the small pyramid. Then run through the opening under the skull-shaped cave and punch the 2nd skull. Jump down into the pool, hurry to the right and hit the 3rd skull, just on the other side of the river. Continue to the right, past the stone circle, to the ladder you built in the bottom right corner of the map. Climb to the top and hit the 4th skull. Hop across the ledges to the dangling rope . Climb up and jump over to the 5th skull on the right. Punch it, jump back to the rope, swing and jump over to the ledge on the left, where you'll find the 6th skull. Hit it and then jump past it to the left. Slide down to the ledge with the 7th skull and quickly smack it as well.

If you run the course, hitting all 7 skulls to activate them before time runs out, you beat this challenge and unlock the Ugha Digger character. He appears near the stone circle at the bottom left corner of the map.

The screenshots below show the first and last skulls. If you need visuals for the entire challenge, just click the "More Screenshots" link below.

RIVER RAFT RACE: The start of this challenge is near the top of the river, between the small wooden bridge and the stone circle near the large UFO. You'll need Agent Spalko and the Ugha Digger to get started. (See the Characters page if you need help unlocking either of them.)

You may want to run the raft course ahead of time using the Car Boat in order to clear out the gray LEGO boulders blocking the way. When you're ready to go, approach the scaffolding holding up the raft and throw Spalko's sword at the cable to drop the raft into the water. Then have the Ugha Digger hop down onto the raft. He's the only character who can actually run the race since he can use his shovel as a paddle. The starting line is just below the raft (R4 on the Hub Maps above). Paddle through it and continue downstream through each of the gates. The finish line is in the pool below the waterfall and skull-shaped cave.

Beating this race unlocks the Ugha King character, who appears near the smaller pyramid just above the finish line.

The screenshots below show the starting and finish lines. If you need visuals for the entire course, just click the "More Screenshots" link below.

UFO RIDE RACE: Completing the last Story Level in this hub unlocks the UFO Ride vehicle. It is located in the stone circle at the bottom right corner of the map and costs 250,000 studs to unlock. To begin this race, jump into the UFO and fly over to the left side of the map. The starting gate is above the entrance to the 5th Bonus Level. (Look for the 'B5' and 'R5' markers on the second Hub Map, above, if you're not sure where to go.)

Fly through the starting gate moving from top left to bottom right. Then follow the line of studs in the sky to the next two gates, located over the water below each of the stone circles. The course then continues upward along the right side of the map to the finish line above the third stone circle.

Winning this race unlocks the Inderdimensional Being, which appears in the stone circle at the bottom right—the same one where you found the UFO Ride itself.

Miscellaneous

You'll probably notice this odd, green-and-yellow LEGO pad with flashing lights located on the road on the left side of the map. As far as I know, it serves no purpose. If you've discovered something about it, please let me know.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is a 2008 adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg, from a story co-written by executive producer George Lucas.

Plot details

Set in 1957, this fourth film in the Indiana Jones film series pits an older and wiser Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) against agents of the Soviet Union—led by Surgeon Col. Agent Spalko (Cate Blanchett).

The film opens with Indy having been captured by Soviet agents and being forced to lead them to a mysterious crate in a sealed US Army warehouse in Nevada. The Soviets are hunting for an item with extraordinary magnetic properties - that may even hold sway over human minds.

Indy manages to escape both the agents and a nearby nuclear test. But although Professor Jones has done much both for science and his country, this counts for nothing in the age of Communist paranoia and Indy finds himself under investigation by the FBI as a potential double agent. To escape the sack, Indy is given a leave of absence from Marshall College by his Dean, Charles Stanforth, also known as Dean Stantforth (Jim Broadbent) along with Associate Dean (Pat Roach).

Just as he is leaving, greaser student Mutt (Shia LaBeouf) stops him, saying that an old friend of his is in trouble. Harold Oxley (John Hurt) disappeared in Peru while hunting for a crystal skull called the Crystal Skull of Akator - a relic of a lost Mayan civilisation.

Realising this could be the artifact the Soviets are hunting, Indy and Mutt race against time to both find and understand this strange artifact. Along the way they pick up former lover Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen) and fellow adventurer Mac (Ray Winstone) - and make an astonishing discovery about El Dorado is also known as Akator, the legendary Lost City Of Gold.

Production

The film was in development since the 1989 release of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, because Spielberg and Ford initially disagreed over Lucas's choice of the skull as the plot device. Screenwriters Jeb Stuart, Jeffrey Boam, M. Night Shyamalan, Frank Darabont, and Jeff Nathanson wrote drafts, before David Koepp's script satisfied all three men.

Shooting finally commenced on June 18, 2007, and took place at New Mexico, New Haven, Connecticut, Hawaii, Fresno, California, and soundstages in Los Angeles. In order to keep aesthetic continuity with the previous films, the crew relied on traditional stuntwork instead of computer-generated stunt doubles, and cinematographer Janusz Kaminski studied Douglas Slocombe's style from the previous films.

Marketing and release

Marketing relied heavily on the public's nostalgia for the series, with trailers and tie-in products taking inspiration from all four films. Anticipation for the film has been amped by the secrecy over the actual plot, which resulted in a legal dispute over an extra violating his non-disclosure agreement, and another man was arrested for stealing a computer containing various documents related to the production. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is scheduled for a worldwide release on May 22, 2008.

Role in Lego Indiana Jones

This film is not be featured in Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, though LEGO sets are available related to the film. However, it is in Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues.

Story

While surveying the halls of Marshall College, dean of students Stanforth notices a missing artifact from the wall. He recruits Indiana Jones and MI6 agent "Mac" to go to Mexico and find it. Indiana sees their mission as a serious task, but Mac sees it as a vacation. After arriving at Mexico, Indiana immediatley begins digging for the lost artifact, while Mac slacks off but the two are captured by agents of the Soviet Union disguised as US soldiers. The agents stuff Indiana and Mac into the trunk of their car, and drive them to a Hangar 51 in the Nevada desert. There, Indiana and Mac meet the masterminds behind the operation: Russian scientist and swordswoman Agent Spalko, and the brutally strong Soviet military tactician Colonel Dovchenko . Spalko tells Indiana to locate her a specific crate in the hangar containing Roswell UFO remains. Knowing the contents of the crate are magnetic, Indiana locates the crate using objects that are attracted to it. Indiana is betrayed by Mac, who receives a sack of gold coins from Spalko for his services. Indiana makes an attempt to escape, but is pursued by Dovchenko and the Russians. In the hangar, Indiana meets up with the hangar's Janitor. Using the Janitor's keys, Indiana drives away in a jeep but is confronted by Dovchenko, who hurls grenades at the hero. Indiana, the Janitor, and Dovchenko all crash through a glass panel on the floor, and discover an Rocket sled. Using the vehicle, Indiana and the janitor make a swift escape from the hangar, barely escaping Dovchenko.

Indiana and the Janitor stumble upon what they believe is a town, but is in actuality a government weapons testing facility designed to look real, complete with houses and mannequins. To avoid a nuclear war head that will be dropped on the area, Indiana and the Janitor hide in a refrigerator. Suprisingly, their strategy works, and they land on Stanforth's car back at Marshall College.

In a nearby diner, Indiana Jones meets Mutt, a young hot-shot motorcylist that informs Indiana that his surrogate father and Indiana's old friend Oxley has gone missing. Before the two can continue their conversation, two Agents step in, and draw guns on Indiana and Mutt. In an effort to save his and Indiana's skins, Mutt punches out one of the diner patrons, starting a massive fight between Greasers and other Brawlers. Other agents attempt to stop Indiana and Mutt but are quickly defeated. Two machine-gun wielding Agents even go as far as to crash their own car into the diner, but they too are thwarted.

To escape the agents, Indiana and Mutt speed away on two motorbikes. They are pursued by more agents, but once again, Indiana and Mutt come out on top. After defeating the last of them, Indiana and Mutt decide to investigate Oxley's disappearence in Peru.

As Indiana Jones and Mutt travel to Peru via train, they notice a second train coming along side them. Standing on top of the train are a deadly duo of Russian soldiers wielding revolvers. Fortunately, the two are taken out thanks to a rogue tree branch but the danger isn't over as Indiana and Mutt are confronted by a Russian soldier commanding a large claw-like crane. Indiana defeats the crane by knocking the crane operator off of the train, and so he and Mutt continue their quest to find Oxley.

The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Part 1 playset appears in the middle of the main menu. It is the first and only playset available when you start a new game. The others are still locked. Follow the instructions on screen to open this playset and start your adventure.

The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Part 1 Playset

After an introductory cut scene, you're taken to the hub map, where you control Indiana Jones and Mac. (If you're playing alone, press Free Tag to switch characters.) At first, only the area near the college campus is accessible. If you like, you can explore a bit before starting the Crystal Skull storyline. Smash objects and gather studs. Look for a few of the hidden Colored Bricks and get a feel for the controls.

Level Entrances

The entrance to the next unplayed Story Level is almost always marked by a big green arrow. Sometimes the entrance is obvious. Sometimes you'll need to do something special in order to access it. If you're having trouble finding the next level entrance, check the maps below and/or refer to the Story Level Introduction.

Treasure Level entrances are indicated by gold arrows. They are usually found in the same place as their Story Level counterparts. If you're not sure where to go, check the aerial maps below or the Treasure Level Intro.

Bonus Levels can a bit tricky to find. Sometimes they're hidden. Sometimes you'll need characters with special skills to get in. Again, refer to the map for the general location of each bonus level. Or see the Bonus Level Introduction for specifics.

There is only one Super Bonus Level in each hub. In order to access it you must win all 10 Artifacts, one for each Treasure and Bonus Level. The artifacts are collected in one place on the map. When you have them all, use them to construct the level entrance. For details, see the Super Bonus Level page.

FIRE BRIGADE: After completing the Doom Town Story Level, return to the demolished Doom Town neighborhood and use the water bottles to extinguish the burning house (R1 on the Hub Maps above). Toss bottles just as you would any object: Press Use to take a bottle from the crate, hold Attack to target a section of the fire, then release the Attack button to throw the bottle. Repeat until the fire is out.

A goup of mannequins will then attack. When you've fought them all, the Mannequin Man, Mannequin Woman, Mannequin Boy and Mannequin Girl will approach and you can buy them.

HOTROD RACE: The Hotrod can be found at the top of the College Town area after completing the Café Chaos Story Level. It costs 30,000 studs to unlock. Once you have it, drive over to the railroad crossing to find the starting gate for this race (R2 on the Hub Maps above). Follow the trail of studs along the street, past the gas station and down into the Hangar 51 army base, where you'll cross the finish line. Winning this race unlocks the Stanforth and Greaser characters. You'll find them back in the College Town area.

The start of the race is just beyond the railroad crossing.

SABRE JET RACE: The Sabre Jet is located on a green LEGO runway at the bottom center of the map. You'll need Mutt (see Characters) to repair the generator and extend the runway. Then you'll be able to unlock the jet for 250,000 studs.

Take off and fly back toward the Doom Town neighborhood, where you'll find the starting gate for this race (R3 on the Hub Maps above). The racecourse is arranged counter-clockwise around the edge of the hub map, so you'll need to cross the starting line by flying toward the Doom Town houses, rather than away from them. Then follow the line of studs in the air to locate the next gate—up and left toward College Town, over the vacant lot and down toward Hangar 51, then back up and to the right. The finish line is just beyond the starting gate, so you're basically making a big circle and finishing where you started. When you've won, Taylor and General Ross appear at the bottom right corner of the map, near the entrance to the Interrogation Room Bonus Level.

You can't land the plane. So, when you're ready to stop flying, just jump out of the jet and parachute down to the ground.

Enter the course by flying *toward* the houses.

FRIDGE CAR RACE: Before you can do this race, you'll need to complete the Doom Town Story Level, which causes the refrigerator to appear in the College Town area. You'll also need to unlock the Russian Digger character. (See the Characters page for details.) Use the Russian Digger's shovel to unearth the Fridge Car and spend 35,000 studs to purchase it. Then get in the car and drive down to the Doom Town neighborhood (R4 on the Hub Maps above).

When you get there, you'll see the start of the racecourse. Position the fridge car in front of the starting line facing away from the houses. Drive through the starting gate and then follow the trail of studs through the various other gates to finish the race in the vacant lot between the College Town and Hangar 52. Winning this race unlocks the College Female character. She can be found near the café in College Town.

WHACK-A-PRAIRIE-DOG: Once you've unlocked the Russian Digger (as described on the Characters page), go to the scrubby, open lot between Hangar 52 and College Town (R5 on the Hub Maps above). There you'll find several donut-shaped objects buried in the ground. Dig up the sparkling one to start this challenge. Seven prairie dogs take turns popping up out of the holes. Hit each one as it appears to stun it temporarily. When you manage to stun all seven at once, you win (yay!) and the Hangar Guard and Ice Cream Van appear across the road near the gas station.

Story Level 1 - Peru Cell Perusal

The sanitarium where Indy and Mutt hope to find Harold Oxley is located at the bottom of the airstrip. The entrance is in the back. So go into the alley with the market stalls at the left side of the airstrip, but instead of heading up the alley toward the white gate, go through the open gate and around to the lower right. The door with the red and yellow awning is where you're headed.

Story Level 2 - Tomb Doom

After escaping from the asylum, you emerge back on the hub map in the graveyard below the airfield. Push the carved monument along the checkerboard tiles until it sinks into a hole, allowing you to pass. Pull the lever to lower the fence so you can get back to the airfield later. Then continue to the right and use Indy's whip to pull the orange ring and open the shed door. Inside you'll find a shovel . Go down the steps on the left and dig in the sparkling patches on the ground. You'll need to dig several times to unearth the tomb entrance.

Story Level 3 - Mac Attack

Head to the lower right corner of the cemetery and cross the narow land bridge above the river. Now that Indy has the Crystal Skull, the swarm of bugs on the path ahead will avoid him. Pick up the wheel and insert it into the red block. Jump on top of it to blow up the dynamite, shifting the boulders off the path. Move down into the camp and enter the tent with the green arrow to start the level.

Story Level 4 - Rainforest Rumble

After completing the previous Story Level, you'll unlock Marion. Move to the right side of the camp and find the swirling flower icon on the ground. Double jump here to reach the ledge above. Grab the box of bits , hop back down and drop the box on the green pad next to the Jungle Cutter. Use the bits to repair the vehicle and you'll be able to unlock it. Get in and drive down the road to the left. The cutter will make short work of the palm trees blocking the way. Cointinue down and around to the right. The green arrow points the way.

Story Level 5 - Dovchenko Duel

You'll need Oxley to access the last Story Level. From the previous level's exit, follow the road to the left. Then head down toward the beach. Smash the box of bananas and pick up the single banana left behind. The Crystal Skull that Oxley now holds will repel the ants as you move along the road to the left. Throw the banana to the monkey sitting in the tree on the other side of the pit. The monkey will throw back a golden key . Use it to turn the mechanism and raise the floor of the pit so you can cross. Continue through the archway with the green arrow.
