We’re such huge fans of dinosaurs since we were little and at the same time we enjoy collecting Lego dinosaur builds. The launching of a brand new Lego dinosaur build is always one of the biggest causes of celebration, in our opinion. This brand new Jurassic World theme had actually shown up just three years after the well-loved Lego Dino series, first launched in 2012. The fact that these brand new builds just became some sort of prelude to a much-anticipated Jurassic World film in June only served to increase the excitement much further.
The Lego 75919 Indominus Rex Breakout build, along with the remainder of other Jurassic World-themed builds, have already been released in several stores. The Lego 75919 is probably the biggest one out of all of them.
The box contains a measurement of over 58 centimeters (23 inches) wide, 37.5 centimeters (14.5 inches) high, and 8.5 centimeters (3.5 inches) deep. So it looks pretty much the same as it did to the Lego 5887 Dino Defense HQ which was technically this build’s spiritual successor from the Lego Dino series. This is actually important to remember, since despite the two builds’ similarities (especially with its box sizes), the newer Jurassic World build contains over 400 more pieces than the 5887. The front side of the box includes the set contents, alongside the Indominus Rex build shown breaking free from its cage and chasing a gyrosphere, while a tiny helicopter build chases after the creature. We’re such huge fans of the Jurassic World and Jurassic Park franchise, thanks to that recognizable scaly skin background, the Jurassic World logo, and that creepy T-Rex silhouette.
As we will find out very soon, the set is filled with plenty of playable features, and a couple of these features are even highlighted at the backside of the box. There’s also a photograph of the finished Indominus Rex build seen from the side of the box. Also spotted is a panel that contains over five dinosaur silhouettes which allows us to collect all of them, much like collecting Pokemon. There’s another panel found at the bottom which shows off Lego’s assortment of video games. Included here is their upcoming Jurassic World video game.
The box’s content is sealed tightly thanks to tape sealed at each corner. There are twelve numbered brick bags, alongside an un-numbered bag separated into four compartments. One of them contains at least one or more elements that you have to use to construct the Indominus Rex dinosaur. The next thing included here is a singular instruction booklet and the accompanying sticker sheet. Both of them are housed right inside a well-protected clear bag. And lastly, there’s the 36L hose with a loose green plate that measures 8 x 16 in the box. The sticker sheet is placed together with the instruction booklet, which keeps it flattened and firm in transit. This is truly different from those days in which you could find the sticker sheet roaming inside the box along half of the stickers crumpled up and torn. The sticker sheet is also very small, since it manages to squeeze in over twenty-four kinds of separate stickers.
The instruction booklet is comprised of a A4-sized footprint, and goes right up to at least 216 pages. The front side is filled with the same kind of artwork as seen on the front side of the box. Apart from the building guide, the booklet is comprised of ads made especially for the Jurassic World video game, a request for product feedback, and over three pages of inventory parts. You can also find a single page that discusses the type of dinosaurs seen in the film, as well as the full list of minifigures included in the entire Lego Jurassic World series.
There are four kinds of minifigures in the build. You can find each one of them in different bags, letting you build all of them in various stages during the build. The first minifigure in the list is Zach, which, according to the official Jurassic World website, is in his mid-teens and is so much more interested in playing and texting on his phone than visiting a park filled with real-life dinosaurs. We feel like Zach is gonna be one of those characters in the film that gets chased by a starving rogue dinosaur halfway through. Zach’s minifigure is exclusive to the 75919. He wears the standard black hairpiece and has plain black legs, but he wears a different kind of torso, which contains a hooded back printing. His head wears a half-smile print on the frontal side, while the other expression has him looking more fearful. Much like Zach’s torso, his face is also an exclusive to the build.
Next up is a nameless veterinarian, which Lego has referred to as the Vet. The Vet sports a tan-colored torso, while his gloved hands are exclusive to the entire Lego Jurassic World series. There’s also plenty of detailed printing on both the back and front side of his outfit. His accessory is a brown-red fedora hat, which was first seen in a Lego Movie build, but in a different shade. The same hat design has also made an appearance in the Lego Lone Ranger series builds, released in 2013, in black and white. There’s actually an alternative version of the Vet minifigure which contains the same legs, torso, and hat but dons a different head printing. You can see him in the Lego 75918 T-Rex Tracker build.
The third minifigure is the Asset Control Unit trooper minifigure, also known as the ACU Trooper. The official Lego Website states that these ACU Troopers are fully-trained professionals whose complete duty is to keep those nasty dinosaurs under control. Definitely not an easy task. And judging by the film’s premise, it seems like one of these guys didn’t do their job properly. These ACU Troopers wear back-printed sand-colored uniforms with a blue body armor. It covers up a fully-detailed dark blue torso. The torso and the body print are highly unique to the Jurassic World series, much like Zach’s outfit. The same can be said for the Trooper’s dark blue-grey printed legs. His head and arms both have a reddish-brown tint to them. This same shade has only made its appearance once prior to this build, as the skin tone of the Winston Zeddemore minifigure from the Lego 21108 Ghostbusters Ecto-1 build. At least five out of the six builds from the Jurassic World series contain at least one ACU Trooper minifigure with varied genders and races, which is amazing in itself. The trooper’s legs and torso look the same with all of the builds, but in the Lego 75916 Dilophosaurus Ambush, the trooper doesn’t wear any body armor.
And lastly is Doctor Henry Wu, the geneticist who made his first appearance in 1993’s Jurassic Park. He was the guy who first discovered the entire process for cloning the dinosaurs in the park, using DNA extracted from fossilized mosquitoes. This minifigure is exclusive to the 75919, since the back-printed torso, his head, and the printed legs are only unique to the minifigure itself. Meanwhile, his hairpiece has already made its appearance in a whole host of other minifigures, including one from the Lego 5887 Dino Defense HQ.

And if we compare it to the pictures of the build, we’re not exactly sure if it’s going to look the same as its movie counterpart. Apart from any potential misgivings we have regarding the dino’s color scheme, Lego’s take on the Indominus Rex is definitely intimidating, not to mention, large. Hopefully those red eyes won’t haunt your dreams every night.

Из деталей набора Лего 75919 Вы сможете построить огромный треугольный вольер Индоминуса Рекса, окружённый высоким забором с электрической защитой и системой прожекторов. Спереди располагаются массивные ворота, оборудованные пандусом и сигнальными огнями. Рядом с воротами видны квадратные непробиваемые окна, через которые можно наблюдать за динозавром. Для повышения безопасности в левом углу вольера организован небольшой стенд, на котором закреплён электошокер и оружие, стреляющее снотворным. Это лаборатория доктора Генри Ву. В ней он проводит свои генетические эксперименты, а заодно наблюдает за поведением Индоминуса Рекса. Размер вольера ультра динозавра в собранном виде составляет 21х33х39 см.
