LEGO Jurassic World is a Video Game based on the Jurassic Park franchise, released on June 12, 2015. It is centered around the films; Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park III, and Jurassic World.

Summary

Following the epic storylines of Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III, as well as the highly anticipated Jurassic World, LEGO Jurassic World is the first video game where players will be able to relive and experience all four Jurassic films. The game will be available in June for the Xbox One, all-in-one games and entertainment system, the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment systems, PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system, the Wii U system from Nintendo, Nintendo 3DS handheld system, and Windows PC.

Gameplay

The game includes a main story mode as well as a free roam portion including four major hub world locations that represent each film: two on Isla Sorna and two on Isla Nublar. The free roam mode is completely explorable and includes unlockables and collectables.

Dinosaurs

In between levels, Mr. DNA will give facts about Dinosaurs, during which he mentions or talks about many of the dinosaurs in Jurassic World, but also Seismosaurus, Megalosaurus, Microraptor, and Suchomimus. Also, during the level "Main Street Showdown", a statue of a dinosaur is seen, which was used as Coelophysis in the Dino theme. None of these dinosaurs are playable though.



Jurassic World is a theme introduced in May 2015 to coincide with the Jurassic World film. The sets are based on the Jurassic Park franchise. The theme was reintroduced in May 2018 to coincide with the second film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, with sets inspired by the animated series Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous and based on the upcoming third film Jurassic World: Dominion with only two sets so far based on the original Jurassic Park.

Announcement

Universal Partnerships & Licensing (UP&L) today announced that The LEGO Group will create original LEGO®products in conjunction with the release of Jurassic World, the long-awaited next installment in Steven Spielberg’s groundbreaking film series that will be released on June 12, 2015. The LEGO Group’s participation rounds out an overall branded toy campaign designed to bring the action, adventure, and excitement of the film to audiences around the world alongside global master toy licensee Hasbro. The toys will be available in May 2015. The announcement was made by UP&L President Stephanie Sperber and Jill Wilfert, vice president of global licensing and entertainment for The LEGO Group.

“Jurassic Park defined dinosaurs for an entire generation 20 years ago, and Jurassic World will do the same in 2015,” said Sperber. “Working with LEGO Group to bring this classic into the present in dynamic and exciting ways is truly thrilling.”

“We are thrilled to be a part of the groundbreaking Jurassic Park series,” said Wilfert. “The film’s imagery and branding are iconic, with a rich array of landscapes, vehicles, and dinosaurs that are perfect for inspiring a line of building sets that will encourage hours of creative play.”

Games

LEGO Jurassic World is a video game released alongside the movie Jurassic World and uses several characters featured in the LEGO Jurassic World sets.

Escape the Indoraptor is an online game released in conjunction with the Fallen Kingdom film.

Animation

Two animated specials-The Indominus Escape and The Secret Exhibit-and an animated series-Legend of Isla Nublar-have been produced in association with the theme.


The sets are based on the Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous animated series which streams on Netflix, and introduces some new re-colours of existing dinosaurs.

There are four new dinosaurs included – a Baryonyx, Carnotaurus, and Stygimoloch, and a cool new T.rex fossil/skeleton – there are no new species introduced (sorry Mosasaurus or Stegosaurus fans!) as these are all re-colours of existing LEGO dinosaur species.

There’s also a new Duplo set 10939 T. rex and Triceratops Dinosaur Breakout that is already available in Australia and the UK, with the USA getting it on 1 August 2021.

I think this selection is really neat, especially if you’re a fan of LEGO Jurassic World and LEGO dinosaurs like I am. I was pleasant surprised by the prices, which seem fairly accessible and not too predatory – which is not what you normally expect from the LEGO Jurassic World theme.

These sets seem targeted less at adults, and more to younger kids who are familiar with the Camp Cretaceous TV show.

My favourites from this wave would have to be the excellent 76940 T. rex Dinosaur Fossil Exhibition as well as the 76939 Stygimoloch Dinosaur Escape, which a 4+ kiddiefied Jurassic Park jeep.

Продолжая концепцию предыдущих фильмов, «Мир юрского периода» стал весьма ожидаемой новинкой, изобилующей спецэффектами и детализированными пейзажами. Действие картины происходит на вымышленном острове Нублар, на территории которого корпорация «Мазрани» открыла тематический парк. В нём представлены основные виды динозавров, когда-либо обитавшие на нашей планете. Для посетителей парка организованы специальные маршруты, напоминающие сафари. Среди них прогулка в инновационной гиросфере по пастбищу травоядных динозавров или перемещение по острову с помощью сверхсовременного поезда. Также предусмотрено посещение гигантского бассейна, на трибуне которого можно понаблюдать за кормлением выпрыгивающего из воды хищника. Используя печальный опыт предыдущих парков, описанных в трилогии «Парк юрского периода», организатор проекта Саймон Мазрани уделил огромное внимание безопасности посетителей. На территории всего комплекса постоянно дежурят специально обученные охранники, готовые усмирить любого, даже самого свирепого динозавра. Но, несмотря на большие затраты и былую популярность мира динозавров, спустя 22 года работы, количество посетителей стало уменьшаться, что в свою очередь привело к увеличению убытков компании «Мазрани». Чтобы вернуть славу и актуальность, руководство принимает решение о создании ультрадинозавра, который станет аттракционом номер один.

Для этого на территории парка открывается специальная лаборатория, располагающая самым современным оборудованием. В ней проводятся два вида исследований. Первое возглавляет Оуэн Грэди – специалист в области поведения динозавров. Его главной задачей является изучение повадок и социальной адаптации животных с целью их приручения или подчинения человеку. В своих опытах учёный использует самых сообразительных рептилий, которые, даже не смотря на свои дикие манеры, имели способность к своеобразному одомашниванию. Второе исследование имеет большую ценность для владельцев парка! На основании открытий, сделанных доктором Генри Ву в области генетики, в лаборатории парка удалось создать абсолютно новый вид динозавра – Индоминус Рекс. В крови получившегося гибрида присутствуют гены сразу нескольких динозавров, включая хитрого Велоцераптора и свирепого Тираннозавра. Рост особи значительно превышает предшественников, а ум и свирепость не имеют себе равных. Такой динозавр бесспорно должен был привлечь к себе всеобще внимание и, как следствие, повысить доходность парка. Но, учёные не подозревали, что создали настоящего динозавра-убийцу. Однажды, обманув охранников, гигантский хищник выбрался на свободу и начал охоту на всех посетителей Парка Юрского Периода…
