Microfighters is a subtheme of Star Wars which was introduced in 2014. There are a total of 35 sets under the subtheme.
Each set includes one microfighter and one minifigure pilot. The microfighters are small versions of larger Star Wars ships - much like Star Wars mini sets - except with exaggerated features and a seating area for the one minifigure that comes with the set.
Wave 1 X-Wing Microfighter. The engines are much larger and the nose is much shorter, in keeping with the series' theme of exaggerating features of the ships.

The first wave was released in 2014.
Series 2
A second wave was released in 2015 and it includes sets from Episode II, Episode III and Episode V.
Series 3
A third wave was released in 2016 and it includes sets from Episode VII and Star Wars Rebels.
Series 4
A fourth wave was released in January 2017 and it includes sets from Rogue One.
Series 5
A fifth wave was released in January 2018 and it includes sets from Episode VII and Episode VIII.
Series 6
A sixth wave was released in January 2019 and it includes sets from Episode I and Episode IV.
Series 7
A seventh wave was released in January 2020 and it includes sets from Episode IX and Episode IV.
Series 8
An eighth wave was released in 2021.
One set was released in 2022.

Pre-theme convention-exclusive sets
Although technically not a part of the Microfighters theme, six convention-exclusive sets were released from 2012 to 2014 (mostly prior to the theme's launch) that greatly resemble the Microfighters theme.

Players choose one of six vehicles, depending on the campaign chosen, and control them using their device's touchscreen. The game scrolls from top-to-bottom, and the fire controls are tied to the vehicular movement. Players may collect studs and upgrade the Microfighters before a mission. Each planet has a separate boss battle. It only features singleplayer missions. [2]

LEGO Star Wars: Microfighters was announced on January 24, 2014, with a cinematic trailer released on the LEGO YouTube Channel. [3] The game is meant to complement the Star Wars Microfighters LEGO Sets that are currently being sold. It is developed by Traveller's Tales and published under the LucasArts banner on January 30, 2014. It is for iOS devices, [1] and spans the time of the Star Wars films. [2]
Continuity [ ]
The game adapts several LEGO Star Wars sets, including the Rebel Scout Speeder. [2] The V-19 Torrent was also included, although for some unknown reason the lower wing is on the top while it is flying, contrary to how the V-19's flight mode functions.
Reception [ ]
A review has cited the lack of engaging content in the game as a problem, as well as finicky controls, despite the Star Wars theme. The reviewer rated it at 4 out of 10. [4] Another review noticed the fairly large bit of content, but also had issues with the lack of ideas and "lack of heart". [5]

LEGO’s line of Microfighter models is always going to be popular with fans that want a quick and easy build to enhance a scene and with kids that do not have the time and patience for the more complex models. The latest Series 3 range of LEGO Star Wars Microfighters for 2016 takes iconic vehicles and ships that are available in more detailed sets and simplifies them to great effect. Each model has a stylized look that captures the essence of the original with clever LEGO elements and color schemes. There is also space for a minifigure and great weaponry. Fight against the Empire with Tie Fighters and Wookie Gun Ships, defeat the Resistance with Snowtroopers and AT-DP walkers and add a new approach to the battle.
6 New LEGO Star Wars Microfighters in the Series 3 Range
Lego Star Wars Microfighters Series Resistance X-Wing Fighter 75125
The first of the new miniaturized sets for 2016 is the LEGO Microfighter Resistance X-Wing Fighter. The X-wing is one of the most recognizable ships in the whole of Star Wars mythology and this 3rd line of models provide a stylized version of this tough ship in simple blue and grey elements. The X-Wing is the ship of choice for the Resistance when fighting against the First Order and while this model may not have the detail and firepower of bigger builds, it does captures the feel of the latest model with the added benefit of the opening cockpit.
This set comes with a mini-figure of a Resistance Pilot to fight beside key figures like Poe Dameron and he is armed with a blaster pistol to defend himself on the ground. The simplicity of this pairing means that players are not bound by certain scenes and can fly this ship anywhere they choose.
Lego Star Wars Microfighters Series TIE Advanced Prototype 75128
TIE Fighters come in all different shapes and sizes, from standard building sets to add to a larger battle scene to vast projects for more experienced builders. The LEGO Star Wars Microfighter TIE Advanced Prototype takes the build to the other end of the scale with a well-crafted micro model of this infamous craft. This small-scale version of a classic retains all of the vital features and design elements while remaining simple enough for young kids to build.
There is a cockpit for the mini-figure, two flick missiles at the front to ensure that it can still fight against the Rebels and the wings still fold out. Like the Resistance Pilot in the X-Wing, the minifigure is fairly generic – a basic TIE pilot dressed in black – but this he still has a detailed outfit and blast shooter and can be called upon any time that Imperial forces need back up.
LEGO Star Wars Microfighters Series First Order Snowspeeder 75126
There are lots of interesting new designs in The Force Awakens that lend themselves to new, updated LEGO models for 2016 and the Series 3 range of Microfighters has also taken inspiration from the new Snowtroopers. This First Order Snowtrooper minifigure in the LEGO Star Wars First Order Snowspeeder building set is modeled with the new uniform in mind, he has a blaster pistol to protect himself against Resistance troops and he fits neatly into the cockpit of the new Snowspeeder model.
This may be a miniaturized version of the First Order’s main line of attack in the snow and ice, but it is still deadly and powerful. There is a big engine on board that lets the minifigure cruise the landscape with ease and there is a rotating stud shooter to repel any attacks. The functionality of this crucial vehicle means that it is ideal for any battle on the ice planets.
Lego Star Wars Microfighters Series The Ghost 75127
Not all of these 2016 Series 3 models have been designed with the feature films in mind. Fans of the Star Wars Rebels animated series will appreciate the chance to add the LEGO Star Wars Microfighter model of The Ghost to their collections because it offers a colorful, dynamic ship and a striking new minifigure.
Despite being a simplified, miniaturized version of this popular fighter, there are plenty of interesting details to the ship that ensure that it is up to the task of attacking the Empire. The pair of powerful engines on the back mean that players can zoom through the air at high speeds, the fun shape is created from a selection of different colored bricks and translucent elements, there is a stud shooter on the front with extra ammo and there is a cockpit for Hera Syndulla. This detailed mini-figure comes with a helmet and blaster pistol.
Lego Star Wars Microfighters Series Wookiee Gunship 75129
Another Star Wars Rebels set that will instantly appeal to younger children is the LEGO Star Wars Microfighter Wookiee Gun Ship. There are two main reasons for this: firstly, the colourful ship offers plenty of colour and detail to ensure that kids want to send it into battle; secondly, it comes with an attractive Wookiee mini-figure. It may not be Chewbacca in the cockpit, but this minifigure has the same detail on the fur and has a bowcaster to fire on the enemy.
Wookiee reinforcements are the last thing that the Imperial forces want to see and this model shows why. This miniature gunship has a striking design for tough aerial battles and lots of fun, interactive features. The wings can be raised for sharp manoeuvres when fighting the Empire’s ships, there are fun details in the use of elements and there are dual flick missiles with extra ammo.
Lego Star Wars Microfighters Series AT-DP 75130
The great thing about LEGO Microfighters is that there is the potential to turn any ship or machine into a new, simplified model that kids can put together with ease. The final new edition to the Series 3 range for 2016 is the LEGO Star Wars AT-DP model. Again, this model takes inspiration from the Star Wars Rebels series and their take on this classic walker for a birds-eye view of the battle.
Again, the design has been modified for a simpler build, with only the most necessary elements in grey, black and yellow, but there are three important features that let players fight against the Resistance. There is the pair of posable legs to let the unit walk around the scene, there is a stud shooter on the front (with extra ammo) and there is space for the AT-DP Driver minifigure, who is armed with a blaster pistol.
Great mini Imperial Walker- Wonderful series of Lego microfighters
Make sure that all the pesky rebels are caught with this LEGO Star Wars AT-DP 75130. It comes with a driver to sit inside of the cockpit. This LEGO Star Wars minifigure has a helmet just like the animated TV series. The legs are posable on the large unit and it features a stud shooter with extra ammo and a blaster pistol. This LEGO Star Wars toy mimics the movement of a real walker when moved. It is a welcome addition to any microfighter collectible set.
There’s a remarkable series in the Lego Star Wars collection - Microfighters, in which the huge units have been re-released in mini-versions and with minifigures included.
Many Star Wars fans didn’t like it, but we did. The sets are small and convenient to play with. Plus, it’s a cheaper way to get minifigures, since they are included in each set.
The box is small and dark-hued, with the brand logo and the name of the series on the packaging. On the backside of the box we can find additional information and pictures of other sets from the same collection.
There are two bags with pieces and the instruction book. No stickers included.
There is a minifigure of AT-DP driver, which has a nice torso printing on both sides and a blaster pistol.

Actually I can’t recall any LEGO set I would not recommend. I’ve bought the whole Microfighters series, and would highly recommend this product!
