Download LegoRacers.exe and copy it to the installation folder.
Download and extract the latest stable version of dgVoodoo.
Copy dgVoodoo.conf and dgVoodooCpl.exe to the Lego Racers installation folder.
Copy the DLLs in the MS\x86 folder to the Lego Racers installation folder.
Launch dgVoodooCpl.exe as Administrator.
Make sure "Config folder / Running instance" is set to the Lego Racers installation folder.
Set "Scaling mode" to "Stretched".
Go to the "DirectX" tab.
Select your resolution and uncheck the "dgVoodoo watermark" option.
Apply your changes.
Right-click LegoRacers.exe and open its properties.
Make sure the "Read only" option is unchecked.
Go to the "Compatibility" tab and set compatibility with Windows XP SP3.
Open LegoRacers.exe with a hex editor such as HxD. Be sure to make a backup copy of the EXE.
Press Ctrl + F and set Datatype to Hex-values.
Search for ABAAAA3F and replace it with:
- 0000A03F for 5:4 screens
- 0000C83F for 25:16 screens
- CDCCCC3F for 16:10 screens
- 5555D53F for 15:9 screens
- 398EE33F for 16:9 screens
- 26B41740 for 21:9 screens
Press Ctrl + F and search for C9400000803F .
Replace the 0000803F value with:
- 0000703F for 5:4 screens
- 0000963F for 25:16 screens
- 9A99993F for 16:10 screens
- 0000A03F for 15:9 screens
- ABAAAA3F for 16:9 screens
- 398EE33F for 21:9 screens
Save your changes.
Launch

Right click on the LEGORacers shortcut.
Open the properties window.
Add the following parameters to the end of the target field: -vertres [resolution] -horzres [resolution]

Replace [resolution] with the desired resolution. Lego Racers is a native 4:3 game, therefore any 4:3 rendering resolution will leave the view unstrechted. Widescreen resolutions might additionaly stretch the rendered image.

LEGO Racers is a LEGO racing video game developed by High Voltage Software and published by LEGO Media, released for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo 64, and PlayStation in 1999 and 2000 and for Game Boy Color in 2000 and 2001. The player races as their own custom-built minifigures and cars to become "the greatest LEGO racing champion of all-time".

An arcade game attraction based on LEGO Racers, initially known by the same name but later renamed to Rocket Racers, opened at LEGOLAND Windsor in 2000, developed by Attention to Detail (ATD). LEGO Racers 2, a full sequel which was also developed by ATD, released in 2001.

Gameplay

Being a racing game, the gameplay is centered around racing. You can race against computer-controlled (AI) opponents or against another person. There are four types of races: circuit, single, versus (multiplayer), and time trial.

There are seven circuits, and each has a circuit champion. There are total of 26 tracks. 12 of them are mirror tracks (inverted left-to-right or right-to-left) and one of them is a test drive track, available only in Build mode and used for testing the vehicle, not racing.

The exception is the final boss of the game, Rocket Racer, which never officially appeared in a physical set until Minifigures Series 18 in 2018, when he appeared as the Race Car Guy.

Each circuit has four race tracks and all of them are hosted by other characters - a full list of these are in the Racers section below. These characters can be made to race with as well as the champions, as soon as you win the circuit. The tracks from circuits 4 and 5 and 6 are mirrored. Rocket Racer's circuit (7) has only one track, although this one does have a hidden mirrored track that can be played with an official cheat code in a Single Race.

The tracks are based of different lines of LEGO themes released at the time. The only exception is the final track, Rocket Racer Run, which is an original creation for LEGO Racers.

Build Mode

In the game, you choose from different car frames and build upon them until you have your car. You can also customize your driver and race with it.

Circuit Races

In this mode, you race AI opponents on one of seven circuits. Each circuit consists of four three-lap races on different tracks (with the exception of circuit 7, which contains only one track). Depending on how you place in each race, you get a certain number of points: 30 points for 1st place, 20 points for 2nd, 10 for 3rd, three for 4th, 5th is two points, and last is one point. The points from each track are added to determine the winner of the circuit. If you do not have certain amount of points during the circuit race except for the last race (10 points for 1st race, 20 points for 2nd race, and 30 points for 3rd race) then the circuit ends. (If you tie with an AI opponent, you will receive the higher place.)

Single Races

In this mode, you race against AI opponents around a single track. (You can only race on tracks you have unlocked.) This mode is useful if you are having trouble with a certain track and want to practice without doing an entire circuit or if you just want to race on one track only or if you just want to explore the track. This mode is also used for enabling and using cheats.

Versus Races

In this mode, you race against a human opponent around a single track. (You can only race on tracks from circuits you have unlocked.) In the PC version, you can only use this mode if you have a gamepad for your PC connected to it.

Time Races

In this mode, you race against a "ghost" of Veronica Voltage (and the ghost record of you after your first try). This means that neither of you can affect the other in any way. There are only 12 tracks that you need to race through and none of them are mirrored tracks and Rocket Racer Run track is out. They are the tracks from Circuit 1 and 2 and 3. Also unique to this mode is the placement of power-ups. They are arranged differently than they are in the other modes: the most common are green and white, red only appears when there is a shortcut that can only be accessed with it, blue only appears when there is a hazard on the course that can be avoided with it, and yellow never appears. If the player completes all of the courses for Time Races, then they receive Veronica's car set.

Powerup bricks

Each track has a number of powerups in the form of bricks placed on it. There are five different colors of bricks. Four of them (red, green, blue and yellow) allow the player to activate their respective power-up whilst the fifth one (white) increases the power of the powerup. The following table displays the properties of each brick and the affect white bricks have on it:

Hazards

Almost all tracks have hazards which slow down the player and other racers. They are physical obstructions (giant rolling stones, swinging axes and a falling pillar); hazards which mimic power-ups (cannon fire, falling bombs, electrical discharges, swinging boxes and ground volcanoes which make the player slip and turn, and mummy's curses); or unique hazards (a ghost which spooks the racer and a flying saucer which drags the racer backwards). All hazards can be countered using shields or by avoiding them.

Shortcuts

Every track in the Game except the Knightmare-Athon has at least one shortcut. Shortcuts can be open (e.g. a tunnel which turns from the track), hidden (e.g. a tunnel hidden by a waterfall), or can only be blasted open by projectile power-ups (e.g. a passage hidden by barrels). However, all the computer racers (with the exception of Veronica Voltage) ignore them.

Race tracks

In the game, there are seven circuits. Placing first, second, or third on a circuit unlocks the next circuit and continues the game.

Эта локализация примечательна тем, что является финальным аккордом компании "Logrus International", которая, сменив название на "Логрус.ру", примкнула к другому издателю - "1С".

2. Запускаем Setup.exe. Если выдает ошибку 111 - сработала защита, нужен другой эмулятор привода.
3. Выбираем русский язык при установке, тогда в игре сразу будет русский. В настройках игры можно в любой момент переключить.
4. В конце установки соглашаемся на Direct Media
5. Запускаем игру. Если в главном меню большинство пунктов заблокированы - сработала защита, нужен другой эмулятор привода.

* Проверено на Windows 10 x64 1607. Никаких настроек совместимости не понадобилось. Работает на 16:9 (растягивается) и со включенным масштабированием (игнорирует его, как и надо).
* Похоже, что в интернете не существовало русской версии Lego Racers. Только демка.
* "Пересадить" перевод на оригинальную английскую версию не удалось.
* На сайте Нового Диска все еще жив раздел Lego Racers, там можно скачать обои и PDF-версию буклета, который идет в коробке с игрой.
* На AG есть патч для русской версии, но ссылка на файл мертва.
* Мне не удалось определить тип защиты, пробовал разными инструментами. Суть защиты такая: установщик и сама игра читают некоторые области диска и ожидают получить ошибки чтения.
* Снимал образ BlindWrite как наиболее "тяжелым" инструментом (13 часов!), потом сконвертировал в более популярный формат.
* Добавил в раздачу PDF-буклет, сканы обложки и CD в подходящем для печати качестве, обои.

i remember sitting with my sister at our family pc back in 2004 at the age of 3, playing the heck out of this game for HOURS. We'd do so much different stuff and just generally have a great time. Parents had to actually pick us up off of the chair we both sat on to send an email haha

So if you guys want to open the game, then there is a way. If the game has an virus, I recommend you to scan your computer/laptop first. Then, if done, open the setup wizard and you can start play the game.

Ok, so here's how i got it to work on win10 x64.
- First download, then unzip.
- Notice that the iso is not an iso and it's really a ".bin" and a ".cue".
- Notice that when trying to mount, nothing in the iso folder shows up.
- In the mounting window's bottom right corner, change "CloneCD/DVD Images" to "Other Images". Now the ".bin" will show up. Select that and it mounts it. (I use Virtual Clone Drive, so idk how Daemon Tools calls these or where can you change it there.)
- (Now when you run the setup exe in the DVD, it will say that there's not enough memory.)
- Left click on the installer, select properties, switch to compatibility tab, and select "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" and also tick in "run as administrator". Click apply and ok.
- Now the setup will run smoothly.
- I didn't install the directx that it wanted, so idk if that bugs out for you. It says higher is better and i'm sure i've got a better one than what was cutting edge when the game came out. (I also didn't want to mess up my directx.)
- Do the same compatibility settings to the Lego Racers 2 exe after installation is complete as you did for the installer.

Also, i didn't use any of the other files, like the no cd thing or the alternative installer.

I've been trying to install it and just keep getting a "Not enough memory" error. About 600GB free, so I'm not sure what's going on with it.

Update: I got it working! I installed the game using the actual disk, moved the newly created folder to My Documents, replaced the application with the no cd one, and then moved the folder back to its previous location. I don't know if using the disk fixed it, or if it was just moving the folder that did the trick, but if it's the former then I don't know what to say for people who don't have a disk

I was able to get the NOCD thing to work (you have to replace the application that's in the folder that's created AFTER installing the game), but now the game starts up with no music, no cutscenes, and it freezes whenever I try to enter a race or even close the game

just mount with daemon tools, after install copy the file in the crack to ur game folder

put the win64 installer in the folder where the iso is and just launch it, instant installation and no problems

i have downloaded it but it doesn't work

Last time I played this little gem, it was on a Windows XP.
I had a hard time collecting all of the crowns to progress through the story-mode stages, so I designed some vehicles myself and did the side-quests (well hidden, even when situated on high ground 0-0.)

NOCD download is broken, it does not work.

I have the same problem as Teeeemo and Not Working :(

Same problem as TEEEEMO. Downloaded No CD version, and whenever I try to launch the .exe file, it flashes black and then nothing.

I don't have CD but downloaded non CD installer. Extracted it and have .exe sitting there but when i open it (as admin) i get black screen and it just like crashes, using windows 10

How do I run the game on Windows 10? The ISO folder just has a bin and cue file.
