Are you wondering about the map in the poster? It's a snippet of the Island from Island Xtreme Stunts that I even added a minor collision box to so I can walk out it. The shot is taken just outside the studio. I figured this place would be most fitting because what you will do with these models, in one way or another, is make a scene.
You DEMAND a map of the full island from Island Xtreme Stunts? I'm sorry no, but to make this full map on my own with fully working proper collisions would take several months, and hours of time poured into it due to valve wanting to use their own fancy file format, and this task I'm not willing to do without profit. This pack was bad enough, I've barely played any games for the last two months!
You: But what about the whole island collisionless?
Me: Sorry no. The island plus all models on it uses at least 200-250 textures combined, and a model can only contain 30. So I'd still have to do a bunch of work. It took me several hours just to do that snippet there.

Download LegoRacers.exe and copy it to the installation folder.
Download and extract the latest stable version of dgVoodoo.
Copy dgVoodoo.conf and dgVoodooCpl.exe to the Lego Racers installation folder.
Copy the DLLs in the MS\x86 folder to the Lego Racers installation folder.
Launch dgVoodooCpl.exe as Administrator.
Make sure "Config folder / Running instance" is set to the Lego Racers installation folder.
Set "Scaling mode" to "Stretched".
Go to the "DirectX" tab.
Select your resolution and uncheck the "dgVoodoo watermark" option.
Apply your changes.
Right-click LegoRacers.exe and open its properties.
Make sure the "Read only" option is unchecked.
Go to the "Compatibility" tab and set compatibility with Windows XP SP3.
Open LegoRacers.exe with a hex editor such as HxD. Be sure to make a backup copy of the EXE.
Press Ctrl + F and set Datatype to Hex-values.

Replace the 0000803F value with:

Launch

Right click on the LEGORacers shortcut.
Open the properties window.
Add the following parameters to the end of the target field: -vertres [resolution] -horzres [resolution]

Replace [resolution] with the desired resolution. Lego Racers is a native 4:3 game, therefore any 4:3 rendering resolution will leave the view unstrechted. Widescreen resolutions might additionaly stretch the rendered image.

i remember sitting with my sister at our family pc back in 2004 at the age of 3, playing the heck out of this game for HOURS. We'd do so much different stuff and just generally have a great time. Parents had to actually pick us up off of the chair we both sat on to send an email haha

So if you guys want to open the game, then there is a way. If the game has an virus, I recommend you to scan your computer/laptop first. Then, if done, open the setup wizard and you can start play the game.

Ok, so here's how i got it to work on win10 x64.
- First download, then unzip.
- Notice that the iso is not an iso and it's really a ".bin" and a ".cue".
- Notice that when trying to mount, nothing in the iso folder shows up.
- In the mounting window's bottom right corner, change "CloneCD/DVD Images" to "Other Images". Now the ".bin" will show up. Select that and it mounts it. (I use Virtual Clone Drive, so idk how Daemon Tools calls these or where can you change it there.)
- (Now when you run the setup exe in the DVD, it will say that there's not enough memory.)
- Left click on the installer, select properties, switch to compatibility tab, and select "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" and also tick in "run as administrator". Click apply and ok.
- Now the setup will run smoothly.
- I didn't install the directx that it wanted, so idk if that bugs out for you. It says higher is better and i'm sure i've got a better one than what was cutting edge when the game came out. (I also didn't want to mess up my directx.)
- Do the same compatibility settings to the Lego Racers 2 exe after installation is complete as you did for the installer.

Also, i didn't use any of the other files, like the no cd thing or the alternative installer.

Update: I got it working! I installed the game using the actual disk, moved the newly created folder to My Documents, replaced the application with the no cd one, and then moved the folder back to its previous location. I don't know if using the disk fixed it, or if it was just moving the folder that did the trick, but if it's the former then I don't know what to say for people who don't have a disk

I was able to get the NOCD thing to work (you have to replace the application that's in the folder that's created AFTER installing the game), but now the game starts up with no music, no cutscenes, and it freezes whenever I try to enter a race or even close the game

and game data folder to your HDD
then Play!

just mount with daemon tools, after install copy the file in the crack to ur game folder

put the win64 installer in the folder where the iso is and just launch it, instant installation and no problems

i have downloaded it but it doesn't work

Last time I played this little gem, it was on a Windows XP.
I had a hard time collecting all of the crowns to progress through the story-mode stages, so I designed some vehicles myself and did the side-quests (well hidden, even when situated on high ground 0-0.)

NOCD download is broken, it does not work.

Same problem as TEEEEMO. Downloaded No CD version, and whenever I try to launch the .exe file, it flashes black and then nothing.

I don't have CD but downloaded non CD installer. Extracted it and have .exe sitting there but when i open it (as admin) i get black screen and it just like crashes, using windows 10

How do I run the game on Windows 10? The ISO folder just has a bin and cue file.

For me it worked almost fine, I created a car etc. But when I started the race, a couple of seconds in (so I did play somewhat) the game just disappeared. No warning or so, just gone. Anyone having the same issue? And a fix ;)

For anyone running into "unable to initialize display - out of video memory", add the following after the Target when editing the shortcut:

" -novideo -horzres 1024 -vertres 768"

It worked for me! I had to use a file archiver to properly unpack the zip file (I used 7zip). Which then left me two items (one being a "LegoRacers" folder, and the other being a "LegoRacers" ISO file. I mouted the ISO file in Daemon Tools Lite. Then I found the specific "Setup" Application file in the "Lego Racers" folder (NOT the "setup" BMP file or the "SETUP" Configuration settings file). I ran the Lego Racers Installation setup. I then right-clicked the "LEGO Racers" Desktop shortcut (the icon is a little lego wheel!) and selected "troubleshoot compatibility". I then selected "troubleshoot program", then selected "The program worked in earlier versions of Windows, but won't install or run now", Then I choose "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)". I then completed the troubleshooter, and now able to start up the game using the Desktop shorcut, without having to always select Run as Administrator :) Also, don't forget to leave Daemon Tools Lite running, with the Lego Racers ISO file mounted (to simulate the CD-ROM).

I downloaded and dragged all the files over into scummvm and it's telling me to choose a game, none of which are lego racers. The feeble files, demon in my pocket, etc, and they all say "Unknown variant" after it. Any help would be appreciated so I can relive my childhood while stuck at home.

This game is pretty good. Even if you are not playing it for nostalgia, it is still a pretty fun time. The AI is surprisingly hard for the age range this game suggests, so if you are like me and are a young gamer who likes old games, the game is going to get pretty hard for you.

For those still having problems, exit steam or any other game launcher that has an overlay. If your graphics card program has an overlay, disable that as well. Those can have compatibility problems with older games. If that still doesn't work, go to 'gamecopyworld' and search 'lego racers'. Use one of the No CD/exe fixes. The site is safe, even if it looks a bit funny and has some annoying ads. Just be sure to use an adblocker before going there and should be a nicer experience. Good luck. Be sure to try to give as much info as possible of why it isn't running, i.e. just doesn't launch, error messages, what OS you are using, etc.

How I got running on Windows 10 64bit:
1) Mount ISO using an app like Daemon Tools or Burn to CD.
2) Right click "Setup.exe" on the CD, select properties and go to the 'Compatibility' tab.
3) Check Compatibility mode for "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)".
4) Check "Run this program as an administrator" and click "Apply" or "OK" to set.
5) Run "Setup.exe" and install to a folder outside of Program Files. Install to an alternative directory such as "C:\Games\LEGO Racers\". No need for the extra installs it suggests (don't think they run anyway).
6) Right click the shortcut or exe file for "LEGO Racers" and select the same Compatibility Settings as above.
7) Run "LEGO Racers" and enjoy gaming goodness!

I sadly cant install this game. task manager says 32-Bit setup launcher is active but nothing more is happening. I tried several comptibility modes buuut none is working.

one of my best childhood racing games. i always play with my dad and FAM.It really united us.

LEGO Racers seems to be the most robust of the old LEGO games, compatability modes and your good to go (and tbh I don't even know wether that is needed, just did it out of habit). The game itself is one of the best, only held back by the lack of proper multiplayer (a cart-racer with only two players? Pass!). Driving physics are decent, if not as well articulated as other contemporary cart-racers. The single player cup experience is great with a nice difficulty curve. The game is relatively easy, but beating the final boss is still very statisfying. The power-ups are fun, but the speed-boosts are way too powerful for the others to matter most of the time.

Where the game really shines are the time trials, which can offer a real challenge on some tracks! If you haven't played them as child, you should try these out! Definitly worth revisiting.

Holy crap, I've never experienced that adrenaline rush of nostalgia before. I was literally smiling throughout the whole game thinking about how fun this game was for me 20 years ago (at the age of 4). Thank you so much for this!

i got a rather simple way to fix the issu with "unable to set drain message"
got to propreties, compatibility, there's a box to choose under which compatibility you wish to run the program, pick "windows xp (service pack2)" and that's it
it worked perfectly for me after that

@Racer The 'certain video file' may be missing, try reinstalling. If the problem persists you might need compatibility mode on.
