В игре осталась возможность конструировать собственного персонажа и его автомобиль, а так же добавилось и много всего нового. Одна из основных новинок игры в том, что автомобиль теперь может разлететься на кусочки при столкновением с препятствием.
Но самое главное в том, что вторая часть осталась все такой же быстрой и драйвовой игрой. Такой и должны быть настоящие аркадные гонки.

It's like you don't even know me. ;P It's quite different from the first game, and physics-engine 'realism' has been given precedence over sheer cartoonish glee, but it's still an enjoyable little trot down memory lane. Disappointingly limited in most areas, unforgivably restrictive in several (despite its greater non-linearity, amusingly), but surprisingly liberal in a few. Enjoy! Oh! An amazing sequel of the Lego Racers series. I started with the GBA version but I prefer the PC version as it has lots more options and features

This is the first time I've really seen Lego Racers 2, and as someone who has been playing Crash Team Racing (original & remake) and Crash Nitro Kart, I reckon this seems to be quite similar to CNK, especially with the CNK music tracks and the order of the worlds, Sandy Bay & Dino Island tracks using Terra's music, Arctic using Barin's music, Mars using Fenomena's music and Xalax using Teknee's music with the final race against Rocket Racer using Hyper Spaceway.
Crazy how the theme of the worlds throughout both LR2 & CNK are strikingly similar! (Island, Snow, Desert, Space)
