Racers consists of 254 sets that ran from 1998 to 2014. Most sets were released in 2005 which accounted for 29 sets. It is comprised of 12 subthemes with the most sets in Tiny Turbos which consists of 70 sets and has an annual growth of around 4.9%. The LEGO Racers theme which was introduced in 2001 was the successor of LEGO Race. Since the theme started, most race cars in LEGO System and TECHNIC universe have been released under the LEGO Racers theme. Racers was discontinued in 2012 and it was succeeded by Speed Champions, introduced in 2015.
Drome Racers
The LEGO Drome Racers is a subtheme of LEGO Racers that ran from 2002 until it was discontinued in 2004. In addition the the LEGO set theme, a video came also called Drome Racers was released.
Outdoor RCa
LEGO Outdoor RC was a subtheme of Racers that consisted of four sets, the first set introduced in 2004 and the remainder sates were available in 2006. The theme contained RC LEGO cars that could be controlled by a wireless radio remote control unit.
Power Racers
The LEGO Power Racers subtheme of LEGO Racers was introduced in 2005 and focused on TECHNIC and System vehicles with various functions such as pull-back motors, falling apart on impact, or slammers which propelled it forward.
Tiny Turbos
The LEGO Tiny Turbos was a subtheme of LEGO Racers that ran from 2005 to 2011. The sets contain micro-scale cars that unsually came in plastic canisters, which have lids shaped like a half of a wheel.
Xalax
LEGO Xalax, also know as Crash 'em Racers was a Racers subtheme which was introduced in 2001 and discontinued the same year. These sets used special Xalax Figures which were not minifigure scale.

From builders Azog The Defiler, The-force44, LegoBricker, and Masman8675 comes the collaborative project Tiny Turbos Reborn.
Hey everyone, Azog here! I’ll be introducing you my two additions to the project.
So I had many designs for my first one, some of them better than others. But overall this one was my favorite. The build is quite simple and there are no tricky build techniques in the design, however it still has smooth look to it. I made a few changes to it over the building process; still the overall design never changed much. I have been told it looks like a Camaro. Not being much of a car person myself I really wouldn’t know. :P When we started naming the cars I decided to call this one Bravo, partly because I was proud of it, but mostly because it sounds cool. ;)
My next one I also had a few ideas for, but I finally settled on the Semi. It is also quite simple in design, maybe even more so than my Camaro. I didn’t change the build of this one much, and I believe I only changed the colour scheme once. The old scheme was mostly black (I always build in black ⌐■_■), so it came off as a bit dreary. I added some colours though and changed most of the frame to white, vastly improving the look; in fact it might be my favorite. ;) This one is named Áspero because it’s a Semi and they are rough. ;P

These are my additions to the collab project.
The second one is called Wolverine. It doesn't look very fast or like it could do well off road, so it probably wouldn't excel in any category other than raw power. Its specialty I guess is pulling big things. It just looks old and tough.
Naranja: The name being Spanish for ''orange'', this is my favorite personal favorite car of the two I built. It's has a more race-car like appearance with the low front end and slightly sloping hood to the bright orange color and black stripe through the middle of the car. You'll also notice it has no protruding fenders, similar to Indy cars. This car would be real fast, no doubt about it, if it was life sized! If I had to choose one word to describe this car, I'd choose ''quirky''.
Veloza: Coming from the word velozes, which is Portuguese for ''fast'', this car looks more modern and aerodynamic than my Naranja. All angles of the car are sloping, and very visible fenders proclaim a sporty fun ride. One word that I think would suit this car, is funky.
I never built LEGO cars from scratch before, and this was quite an experience. I was so amateur, I couldn't even figure out how to place the fenders around the tires! Thankfully, my other collaborators helped me with great patience and taught me basic techniques and instructions. I could never have built these without them. I want to thank them for their amazing help!
And now it's back to me Masman, to tell you about my builds. First up is Road Hog.
A cross between a transport truck and a RV, this thing eats fuel like crazy, and due to the way the front of the vehicle looks, is so named Road Hog. Road Hog features a big moose bar on the front and is black with flame designs along the sides. The beast first started out when I was tinkering around, trying out a nice flame pattern along the side of a vehicle, and just went from there.
Last but not least is Sráid. Irish for street, Sráid is a tuned Ute, sporting a bold white, black, and orange colour scheme. He includes underbody lights, a big spoiler, and flashy orange & black rims. Originally, Sráid wasn't even going to be in this project, and when I decided to make and use him in the project, he was in black & green. I later decided to change the colour scheme to something lighter, and I am very glad I did.
