Lego star wars battle pack

Обновлено: 07.05.2024

LEGO Star Wars Battle Packs have always been among the most anticipated sets from each new wave as they are the cheapest way to build an army of your favorite Minifigures. Ever since LEGO introduced the first battle packs in 2007, this type of set has been in high demand and is often the most discussed subject for each following year of LEGO Star Wars.

Just like that, after years of expectations and endless demands, LEGO finally heard our calls and announced the new 501 st Clone Trooper Battle Pack! In its entirety, it will not count as a battle pack because of the price and an additional two minifigures but nevertheless, has still been classed as one by the fans.

Since the new 501 st Battle Pack is the most anticipated set for this year, we will dive into the history of this type of set with our list of the best LEGO Star Wars Battle Packs. There have been a total of 26 Battle Packs in the past 13 years and while some were relatively disappointing, others remain fan-favorites years after they were retired.

75280 - 501st Legion Clone Troopers

10. 7668 Rebel Scout Speeder

To start off, the 7668 Rebel Scout Speeder was one of the first battle packs to ever be released. It does not stand out from a design point of view, but we consider it a top 10 for its army-building potential and the rarity of its figures.

It included four of the original Rebel Fleet Trooper minifigures which have always been rare in sets. In fact, they have appeared in no more than four or five sets in 20 years of LEGO Star Wars. Besides the minifigures, the set came with a surprisingly cool speeder with the ability to carry two troopers. I honestly consider this speeder to be one of the better-designed Speeder that LEGO has ever produced.

Minifigures: Rebel Trooper x4

Original Retail Price: $9.99

9. 75166 First Order Transport Speeder Battle Pack

There were a few years of LEGO sets that did not give us any impressive Battle Packs. Some had pointless minifigures, others were entirely a waste of money. Finally, in 2017, we received an outstanding army building set which, of course, became a hit.

The 75166 First Order Transport Speeder Battle Pack came with a brilliant minifigure selection. As you know, the First Order introduced incredible military characters and we finally got a chance to build an army. Besides the two Stormtroopers and the cool-looking officer, we received a rare First order Flametrooper. If you weren’t big on LEGO before, keep in mind that this was a minifigure that only appeared in large and expensive sets.

This Battle Pack was an amazing upgrade from the original First Order Battle pack which was one of those that simply did not have a suitable minifigure selection for an army building set.

Piece Count: 117

Minifigures: First Order Stormtrooper x2, First Order Officer, First Order Flametrooper

Original Retail Price: $14.99

8. 75167 Bounty Hunter Speeder Bike Battle Pack

This set was definitely unexpected although Bounty Hunters have always had a special place in Star Wars, and fans literally adore them. Logically, when this was announced and it included three fan-favorite characters, its success was already certain.

Overall, I feel like there is no other battle pack that could compare with this one if we compare the price to the minifigure selection. It is not one that you would buy more than once but a mandatory purchase if you love bounty hunters.

Besides the minifigures, LEGO did an outstanding job with the speeder bike although it has nothing to do with the actual movies or even The Clone Wars. It simply had a cool design and once again, added up to the low price of the set.

Piece Count: 125

Minifigures: Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM

Original Retail Price: $14.99

7. 9489 Endor Rebel Trooper & Imperial Trooper Battle Pack

This battle pack surely won’t end up on everyone’s Top 10 list but I personally love it and believe it was a beautiful set overall. If you love Episode 6 and the battles on Endor, you should appreciate this set.

Unlike most battle packs, this one would hardly count as an army building set as there are minifigures from two separate factions that were not as common by themselves. Nevertheless, I feel like this is why I love this battle pack. Normally, when you get a mixed set like this one, the minifigure selection does not always impress. Here, LEGO managed to combine some great ones.

The set also included the regular Imperial Speeder Bike in brown and a small tree with a cannon. Obviously, the tree is not impressive but if you got a few of these battle packs, you could build something bigger.

Minifigures: Scout Trooper, Stormtrooper, Endor Rebel Trooper x2

Original Retail Price: $12.99

9489 Endor Rebel Trooper & Imperial Trooper Battle Pack

6. 7655 Clone Troopers Battle Pack

The 7655 Clone Trooper Battle Pack was one of the two original battle packs released in 2007. If I had to choose one of the older battle packs to be re-released, it would definitely be this one.

It included three different types of clone troopers in the original Phase II design which was absolutely beautiful. The minifigures from this Battle Pack are on such high demand today that the price for one is astronomical.

The speeder bike and the turret structure that was also included have the old-school design features that, I believe, most of us love to this day. Overall, this Battle Pack is one of the all-time greats.

Minifigures: Shock Trooper, Star Corps Trooper, Clone Trooper x2

Original Retail Price: $9.99

7655 Clone Troopers Battle Pack

5. 75165 Imperial Trooper Battle Pack

What a great year for battle packs we had in 2017. The 75165 Imperial Trooper Battle Pack was literally the perfect Imperial army building set you could possibly imagine.

If you wanted Stormtroopers, this was the perfect set. If you wanted the rare Death Troopers, this was also the perfect set. What else could we say? The set also included a Clone Walker with a brand new design that was very different from anything we had previously seen. Overall, this was an outstanding Battle Pack and I hope we get to see more of these in the future.

Piece Count: 112

Minifigures: Death Trooper x2, Stormtrooper x2

Original Retail Price: $12.99

75165 Imperial Trooper Battle Pack

4. 75035 Kashyyyk Troopers

While this could be an unpopular choice, I feel like the 75035 Kashyyyk Troopers Battle Pack was a perfect set in every category. Normally, I rank my battle packs based on their minifigure selections but here, we had an excellent vehicle as well.

Not everyone would waste money to build a Kashyyyk Trooper army but don’t they just look awesome? The minifigures had an excellent design and the Swamp Speeder, although a smaller version, also was well-designed and could hold two figures. I personally love it when we get important vehicles in battle packs instead of pointless speeders that have never been seen on screen.

Minifigures: Kashyyk Clone Trooper x2, 41 st Elite Clone Trooper x2

Original Retail Price: $12.99

75035 Kashyyk Troopers

3. 75267 Mandalorian Battle Pack

LEGO successfully made us excited about their announcement of the 2020 winter wave of sets. We got two of the most incredible battle packs and an array of other good sets.

Of course, this re-release was dedicated to the release of the first-ever live-action Star Wars show – The Mandalorian. With the high anticipation for the show, it was clear that LEGO would create a set or two and they did not disappoint. Although you do not see any particular Mandalorians from the series, the ones included in the set are incredible and it is simply too cool to see so many color-variants.

In addition, the overall printing that they did with the minifigures was great and I must say – a rarity for a battle pack. I feel like you would not usually get more than one of these but I would gladly pick up a few more of those and build a small Mandalorian army in the future if I see it on sale.

Piece Count: 102

Minifigures: Mandalorian x4

Original Retail Price: $14.99

2. 75266 Sith Troopers Battle Pack

The other battle pack from the 2020 winter wave was the 65266 Sith Troopers Battle Pack. Needless to say, this was also one of the most anticipated sets for this year and it did not disappoint.

We got a total of two brand new minifigure designs (two Sith Jet Troopers and a First Order Officer) and an additional Sith Trooper which is an incredible figure by itself. As mentioned above, I love it when we see small versions of important vehicles, and this battle pack included a Snowspeeder. It came in a beautiful new color-scheme that added a bit of contrast to this set.

If you want to build yourself a Sith Trooper Army, this could be the only set that will ever give you such an opportunity.

Piece Count: 105

Minifigures: Sith Trooper, Sith Jet Troopers x2, First Order Officer (or Sith Officer)

Original Retail Price: $15

1. 8014 Clone Walker Battle Pack

Why is such a basic-looking battle pack in the highest position? If you are new to LEGO Star Wars, you would hardly understand. When this came out in 2008 next to the new Clone Wars animated series, it took over the Star Wars community. No other set has reached so many sales, has been so demanded, or has impacted the Star Wars community like the 8014 Clone Walker Battle Pack.

Up to this day, I could hardly compare this to any other set when it comes to its army building capabilities. No wonder it was always entirely sold out and is nowadays so expensive to get. Fans have been demanding a re-release for years but unfortunately, this is unlikely to happen.

Minifigures: Clone Commander, Clone Trooper x2, Clone Gunner

Original Retail Price: $11.99

8014 Clone Walker Battle Pack

Final Thoughts:

As a completely fanatic Star Wars fan, I have always dreamed of having countless minifigures and enough money to get every battle pack a hundred times. Whoever got the idea to create this series of sets in 2007 is an absolute genius.

Our list of Battle Packs was created based on our personal preferences and, of course, the impact of the sets over the Star Wars community. Your choice of 10 could be 100% different and yet, I feel like this list was sufficient enough to present the best of each era in Star Wars.

And now, with no movies to anticipate in the following couple of years, who knows what we will get in the future. Quite possibly, this could be the time when we see some of our favorite Battle Packs re-released.

I am 10 years old.
I want to buy two (2) boxes of 1. 8014 Clone Walker Battle Pack.
How can I get it??
I am giving you here in below the email and name of my grand mother
Thank you

They’re retired kid, that means that lego doesn’t make them anymore. The few that are left are sold for over $100. However, If you are interested in a cool looking walker, you can get the 501st Legion Clone Troopers battle pack 75280 which includes a speeder and a walker with a cool blue accent.

if you go to jslitttlethings you can get a lot of cool lego troopers and some cool sets really cheap, like for example you can get a 100 lego phase 2 clone troopers set for $120, and it’s legit, so that’s cool

How to Make a Minifigure Walk

Want to learn how to make your Stormtroopers™ march? In this video, Forrest Whaley demonstrates the process of creating a minifigure walk in stop motion animation. It can help to watch how people walk to get the movements down. When you put one leg forward, swing the opposite arm of the minifigure forwards. With each movement, shift the torso just a little bit to make it look a little more realistic. Then, once you’ve created this small walking loop, you can repeat it! Check out the video for a full tutorial.

Make it move

Simple movements can make big changes to photos. Try out different ways to make your scenery move around your models or find ways to make your models move on their own! Fishing line can be a great tool to make things look like they’re floating and moving on their own.

How to Build a Background

One really cool way to add depth, light and movement into your Brick Film is to use a projection in the background. In this video, Forrest Whaley teaches you about a rear screen projection and how he uses animation and a projector to make his backgrounds move. You can do this in your own home by using a computer, tv or tablet screen in the background!

Try a hand-drawn Hunter™

Try your skills at drawing a speedy scene from The Bad Batch™ featuring Hunter™. Get a good look at your hoverbike and minifigure, then start drawing! First you will want to draw everything down in pencil. Pay attention to any details. For this base layer it’s OK to make mistakes! Also, fill in the surrounding page with things like motion lines and dust to make it look like your bike is speeding! Next, outline everything in a thin black marker and then the outer-most line with a thicker black marker. When it comes to color, be sure to use different hues to build shadows and highlights in your drawing. It’s those details that really bring it to life. To make your bike hover, add a hoverbike-shaped shadow below your drawing. The darker the shadow, the lower it looks to the ground. Finally, push those highlights with a white paint pen or colored pencil.

Brick BIG

Creating a LEGO® diorama, or Brickorama, is a great way to show off your building skills while also telling a story captured in time. Brickoramas can be small or BIG like this Brickorama by David Hall. In his build, he’s telling the story of The Bad Batch™ being hunted down by Imperial Troops in the forests of Daro™. Desperate to find cover, the gang reaches a hillside where they meet Crosshair™ alongside a pack of Stormtroopers™. In the skies, a fierce battle between good and evil is taking place. Watch his how-to videos to get some info about how to create your own Brickorama and tell your story.

Learn Why Snot Rocks

It may sound funny, but SNOT is no joke. It stands for ‘Studs Not On Top’ and it’s a great way of building with LEGO® bricks! Building the SNOT way means angling your bricks in a way that brings landscapes to life. Check out this video where David Hall takes you through how he used SNOT to build his Brickorama, and for examples of how you can do it yourself!

Minifigures Making Moves

Want to add some character emotion to your set-up? Pay attention to your minifigures! With little arms that wing, tiny hands that rotate and different facial expressions you can do a lot with a minifigure. Take a look at this video to see how David Hall brings his minifigures to life!

The LEGO Star Wars 2022 lineup is finally starting to take shape, and today we can report on a closer look at what to expect from the collection come next year. Ranging from the first sets based around the Book of Boba Fett to the return of battle packs, Original Trilogy kits, and more, you’ll want to head below for all of the details.

LEGO Star Wars 2022

Up until now, we’ve only been getting a few reports here and there of what to expect from the LEGO Star Wars 2022 lineup. Ranging from the buildable helmets to next year’s May the 4th UCS set, we’re getting a better idea of how the collection will look. Now, 9to5Toys can confirm some additional set rumors which have been circling through the start of this week.

Before we dive into the specifics of each build, here is a quick breakdown of all the sets that are currently on tap for next year. Do keep in mind that given how far out the release window is for some of these, there’s always the chance that some builds don’t end up making it to store shelves.

LEGO Star Wars 2022 lineup:

  • Hoth Battle Pack: $30 | 75320
  • Razor Crest Microfighter: $10 | 75321
  • Hoth AT-ST: $50 | 75322
  • Unknown Set: $30 | 75234
  • Unknown Set: ?? | 75325
  • Boba Fett’s Palace: $100 | 75326
  • Luke Skywalker Helmet: $60 | 75327
  • The Mandalorian Helmet: $60 | 75328
  • Death Star Fight Scene: $60 | 75329
  • Yoda’s Training: $80 | 75330
  • UCS Luke’s Landspeeder: $200 | 75341

As a quick recap of what we’ve already covered, it has been known for some time that next year will also mark the long-awaited return of the LEGO Star Wars battle packs, which will come back from hiatus with a single set. The Hoth Battle Pack will feature four Minifigures in total split between three Snowtroopers and a refreshed Scout Trooper to fit in with the cold climate. It’ll clock in at 105 pieces and arrives with an E-WEB blaster, snowspeeder, snowbank, and minifigure stands at the $19.99 price point.

More details on the Razer Crest Microfighter

We also know that as far as the annual microfighters go, we’ll see a Razer Crest come next year. You can get all of the details in our original report, as not too much has changed since then. There’s still the same 101-piece count and $9.99 price tag. Though, there is now the rumor that the LEGO Group will be introducing an entirely new type of play feature in the form of a new type of shooter.

Mixing up from the stud shooters, spring-loaded missiles, and flick-fire missiles we’ve seen in the past, there will be an entirely new implementation come 2022. There’s no word if that will carry over to the rest of the lineup next year, but given how it’s been over half a decade since the LEGO Group first introduced the stud shooters that have become so commonplace in sets these days, it makes sense we could be seeing something new phased in.

Two buildable helmets locked in for 2022, as well

Over onto the LEGO Star Wars buildable helmets, when we first checked in on what next year held for the theme, there were still some uncertainties in the lineup. While The Mandalorian helmet was all but assured, 9to5Toys originally reported that either the Luke Rebel Pilot or AT-AT Driver model would be cut. And now we know which one won’t be seeing the light of day come 2022.

As we expected, the AT-AT Driver won’t be seeing a release, with the more iconic of the two helmets getting the spotlight. Both of the kits will retail at the $59.99 price point, but the part count is currently unknown.

Luke’s Landspeeder gets the UCS treatment

Finally, in terms of what we already know, next year’s UCS set will be Luke’s Landspeeder. For better or worse, it’s looking like we will finally see the vehicle assembled as a more collectible kit. Our full report right here gives you a better idea of what to expect, as no new information has emerged as of late.

Book of Boba Fett joins the LEGO Star Wars 2022 lineup

Now, on to the good stuff. Following all of the early reports on the LEGO Star Wars 2022 lineup, there are now plenty of new tidbits on what to expect from the series. The most notable of these reports are certainly detailing the first Book of Boba Fett sets. As of now, there is only a single set that we can confirm for the collection, which will be one of the largest next year at $99.99. We rarely see builds that size enter in the January wave, but with the new Disney+ series airing in December, it looks like the LEGO Group will be hoping to cash in on the popularity.

In what used to be Jabba’s Palace, there will be a new brick-built version of the iconic residence which has now been taken over by Boba Fett. The size seems like it will be smaller than the previous LEGO version of the locale, so the scope of the build is still uncertain. Though, in what can almost be a sure thing, we’ll likely receive Boba himself alongside Fennec Shand, as well as the throne that was teased at the end of The Mandalorian season 2.

New sets from the Original Trilogy, too

It wouldn’t be a new LEGO Star Wars wave without some classic kits centered around the Original Trilogy, and 2022 is keeping good on that with two notable sets as of now. The first of these keeps up with the Hoth theming we’ve seen from much of the lineup so far, and delivers a new AT-ST from the planet. It stacks up to 586 pieces at the $49.99 price point, which matches the price of the vehicle we saw back in 2019 as the first Mandalorian kit.

As for minifigures, you’ll fittingly find an AT-ST Pilot to go alongside Chewbacca and a Hoth Rebel trooper. There is also supposedly a Probe Droid included here. It’ll be a nice selection of figures at the price point, and should hopefully be exciting in that we’ll finally get an accurate version of the walker to Hoth, which has a different head shape than the design that is more commonly thought of.

Death Star

Another Original Trilogy moment being assembled is a Death Star Fight Scene at a $59.99 price point, though which particular one is a bit uncertain. Some are speculating it’ll just be that classic fight scene between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan, while others think it’ll be more in the vein of a Death Star Trench fight. Whatever it ends up being, this one reportedly won’t be one of the 18+ sets we’ve been seeing each year like the Bespin Duel or Darth Vader’s Meditation Chamber.

Yoda’s training in 2022, we will see

The honor of 2022’s 18+ set looks like it will be bestowed to a $79.99 rendition of Yoda’s training, which depicts another classic moment from The Empire Strikes Back. This would by far be the largest version of that topic to date, given how the last was was just $25.

I’d expect to see Yoda’s hut as has been included in past renditions, alongside some kind of X-Wing. Though I bet it might end up being only a portion of it – like a wing sticking out of the swamp. There’s plenty of potential otherwise on what the LEGO Group could do. As far as minifigures go, anything outside of Luke, Yoda, and R2-D2 seems like a bit of a stretch, but those three should be pretty much guaranteed.

First LEGO Star Wars accessory packs coming in 2022

As fans hold out hope that next year could finally bring about the first Star Wars collectible minifigure series, it seems like the LEGO Group has some other plans in store. Throughout the rest of the LEGO themes are these smaller sets called accessory packs, which usually come with three or four minifigures and a pretty small build. Think battle packs but with more focus on the figures.

Now it looks like for 2022, we’ll be seeing not only our first but also second of these with two LEGO Star Wars accessories packs on the way. These will clock in at $14.99 each, though the theming on what we can expect is up in the air. Maybe we’ll finally get a Commander Cody minifigure, or the millionth Farmer Luke.

So many possibilities from unknown sets

And lastly, there are also some builds that have yet to be confirmed in any capacity. We do currently know the set numbers and the price points, though the specific builds or even what themes these will fit into are unknown as of now. My money is going to be on the Book of Boba Fett, though we may very well see some kits from The Bad Batch. I wouldn’t get my hopes up for any Clone Wars-themed kits, however.
