The short is basically a very tongue-in-cheek look at the important happenings of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and is presented in a 3-D computer animation format, as is Treehouse's specialty.

The spoof features stylized versions of the Lego Star Wars Episode III building toys in fantasy situations, portraying the interactivity of Lego in various scenes. Lego's classic mini-figures are also made more 3-D in their detail, with more flexibility in movement portrayed to facilitate the film's action sequences.

The following is a detailed overview of the mini-movie's plot, which is considered non-canonical.

Space battle above Kashyyyk [ ]

The movie begins with a short opening crawl, detailing those droids belonging to the "evil Separatists" have amassed above the Wookiee planet of Kashyyyk , and that Jedi Knights have been sent to stop the invasion and restore peace.

Two Republic fighters appear above the planet and fly towards a The Phantom Menace). Count Dooku watches from inside, and then, smiling, presses a button, which turns a revolving chair with General Grievous sitting on it.

Back outside, Anakin Skywalker (along with a Force to dismantle his ship into individual LEGO pieces, and reassembles it after the missiles pass, which instead hits two other enemy ships, destroying them. Anakin's ship is hit by laser fire from the control ship and explodes into its component pieces, but Anakin uses the Force to reassemble it – into a lightsaber like a Battle on Kashyyyk [ ]

The sequence shifts to Kashyyyk. Yoda spots some Mace Windu and the Clone troopers come out of the vehicle and attack, joined by the Wookies under Chewbacca, Anakin and Obi-Wan.

As the battle commences, Chewbacca dodges an enemy droid tank, which skids to a halt and attacks again, determined to overrun him. Chewbacca hastily assembles a rocket launcher out of spare Lego pieces and shoots a rocket at the enemy, hitting one of its tracks. The tank skids out of control and almost hits Chewbacca, who faints from shock.

Almost all the clones and Wookiees have been destroyed or have run away; Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda, Mace Windu and Chewbacca find themselves surrounded. But then Wookiee reinforcements arrive and beat the droids back. The remaining droids retreat in a demoralized rabble.

Epilogue [ ]

The end credits show, accompanied by a clip of Darth Vader conducting, with his lightsaber as a baton, some clones in the famous Imperial March .

Synopsis

Space battle above Kashyyyk

The movie begins with an opening sequence taking place outside Kashyyyk. Two craft appear. The camera then switches to the Trade Federation droid control ship from The Phantom Menace. Inside is Count Dooku using a remote to show General Grievous, sitting on his chair and getting up. The sequence shifts to the battle in space, as enemy ships appear.

The camera shifts to Anakin Skywalker's craft (an ARC-170 starfighter), copiloted by a clone trooper and a clone rear gunner. Anakin turns left and the ship goes upside down and the camera shows Anakin and a scared clone pilot flying down the trench to engage the enemy fighters, a reference to Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. A droid tri-fighter fires on Anakin, but misses. Anakin goes away and the two flanking fighters explode from friendly fire.

Another enemy fighter aims at Anakin's craft and fires an orb, which hits his ship. Out of the orb comes a maniacal buzz droid, and attaches itself to the ARC fighter. The rear gunner uses buzz spray to repel it, but the droid gets close to Anakin's window. Anakin presses a little blue button activating the windshield wipers to get rid of the pestering machine. The buzz droid avoids them and attaches itself to the fighter's starboard engine, and begins to cut into it.

General Grievous on top of a television set

Count Dooku is watching a TV screen but gets only static. General Grievous acts as an antenna. Dooku points his LEGO finger at Grievous to Grievous at the exact position that shows a clear picture of the battle outside. The movie then shifts to another sequence. Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi interceptor flies into view as a vulture droid fighter fires two missiles at Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan uses the Force to disassemble his starfighter into separate bricks to avoid the missiles. The projectiles hit two other vultures instead.

The camera shifts to Anakin. Turbolasers from the control ship shatters Anakin's ARC fighter. Anakin exits the remains of the craft, floating in space. He rebuilds his fighter with the Force. Realizing that he created a bi-plane, he demolishes the plane and rebuilds it again in a speeder-like fighter (he is still exposed to the vacuum of space). One of the clones is onboard as well. (There is no sign of the other who probably died.) Anakin uses the Force power to control the buzz droid to cut an opening into the Trade Federation droid control ship. Inside the flagship, droidekas fire at Anakin from a platform, trying to stop his advance. Anakin uses his lightsaber to destroy the platform the droidekas are standing on, while the clone trooper desperately clings to the side of the fighter.

The sequence shifts back to Obi-Wan's craft. A tri-fighter fires on Obi-Wan and takes out his starboard wing. Obi-Wan uses his Force powers to demolish the enemy craft. Obi-Wan then pulverizes another tri-fighter and two vultures. He then uses the pieces to remodel his fighter into a Y-wing. Obi-Wan advances on the control ship and destroys some of communications devices the on top. The sequence shifts to Anakin leaving the flagship, clone trooper still clinging to the side. The flagship explodes. Anakin and Obi-Wan then proceed to Kashyyyk (resembling Earth).

Battle of Kashyyyk

On Kashyyyk, Yoda spots some battle droids. The droids also notice him and surround him. Yoda disassembles several droids with the Force, mixing their parts in the process. Yoda then brandishes his lightsaber and destroys more droids. A Heavy Assault Vehicle/wheeled A6 Juggernaut|Turbo Tank arrives with Mace Windu and clone troopers. The Wookiees join the clone army in the fight with Chewbacca leading them. Anakin and Obi-Wan soon arrive and join the battle.

The two armies fight to the last brick.

The clone troopers and Wookiees keep fighting valiantly. A Clone AT-RT is destroyed in battle. Chewbacca is attacked by a Confederate tank droid and is almost run over. He assembles a rocket launcher from shattered bricks just in time to fire a rocket just as the tank turned around to run over him. The damaged vehicle skids to a stop near him, and he faints from the shock of it.

Almost all the clones and Wookiees have been neutralized. Anakin, Obi-Wan, Yoda, Mace and Chewbacca are the only ones left, and are surrounded by battle droids. One of the droids says "Uh oh" when Wookiees reinforcements arrive in a Wookiee Catamaran and destroy the droids. They drop missiles and destroy many droids and tanks, forcing the droid army to retreat.

The next sequence begins with the bar scene reminiscent to the Mos Eisley Cantina scene in A New Hope. Everyone is here (Grievous is the bartender, apparently having quit his job as the Separatist General). Ponda Baba and some Jawas are present, and although you only get a fleeting glimpse of him, so is Count Dooku and a Droideka. Yoda (R2-D2 rolls past Yoda) uses the Force to steal the drinks R2-D2 is carrying on a tray attached to his back. Mace, Obi-Wan and Anakin are at the bar. Chewbacca takes a picture of Anakin and Obi-Wan. Chewbacca sees the picture of Darth Vader and Ben Kenobi in a lightsaber battle (reference to A New Hope) instead of Anakin and Obi-Wan standing together, happily. Chewbacca collapses. Greedo is standing behind him, and watches him fall. The mini-movie ends. The end credits roll as Darth Vader uses his lightsaber as a baton in conducting a clone trooper orchestra, which is playing the Imperial March.

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace [ edit ]

The Trade Federation has blockaded the peaceful planet of Naboo. The two Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi are sent to negotiate. Their Republic Cruiser lands in the Trade Federation's capital ship's hangar; the protocol droid TC-14 greets them, and the Jedi are escorted to a small conference chamber, where they sense a disturbance in the Force (the Republic Cruiser is destroyed) and are set upon by several Trade Federation Battle Droids. They destroy the Battle Droids and find TC-14, who helps them through the ship. Upon discovering an invasion force headed for Naboo, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan decide to board a Trade Federation MTT and meet down on the planet.

They land on the planet and regroup. The Jedi travel through the swamp and find a Gungan named Jar Jar Binks, who takes them to the Gungan city nearby. The group arrives, and the Gungan leader Boss Nass gives them safe passage to the capital city of Theed. It is here that the Queen is being held by the droid invasion force.

The Jedi rescue the Queen Amidala and her guard Captain Panaka, and they proceed to the Queen's hangar and escape the planet. The Royal Cruiser is damaged, warranting an emergency landing on the world of Tatooine.

On Tatooine, a young boy named Anakin Skywalker said he could help them get the money for new parts. He offers to win the Boonta Eve Podrace for them and win them the money. He wins the Podrace, and Qui-Gon decides to bring Anakin with him, noting his extreme sensitivity to the Force.

The ship lands on Coruscant, and Senator Palpatine becomes Supreme Chancellor of the Republic. Queen Amidala decides to return to Naboo and free her planet. On Naboo, Amidala recruits the Gungans to help the Naboo retake the planet. Meanwhile, the Space Fighter Corps destroys the main Trade Federation capital ship and knocks out the Trade Federation army.

Darth Sidious's apprentice, Darth Maul, engages Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon. Obi-Wan defeats the Sith, but Qui-Gon is killed. He requests that Obi-Wan trains Anakin. Celebrations are held on Naboo, and peace between the Gungans and the Naboo people is proclaimed.

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones [ edit ]

It is ten years after the blockade of Naboo. Padme is now a Senator, and Anakin is Obi-Wan's Padawan. A bounty is put on Padme from the Trade Federation as revenge and Obi-Wan follows a clue left by a certain bounty hunter to the world of Kamino. In light of current events, he discovers a clone army being prepared for the Republic. He also encounters Jango Fett and his son Boba, but the two escape before he can question them.

Obi-Wan follows them to the planet of Geonosis. He is set upon, and calls Anakin for backup. Anakin and Padme free Obi-Wan, but are captured by Jango Fett and a team of battle droids.

Following a mock trial and execution, the group are rescued by Mace Windu and many of the Order's Jedi, backed up by the clone army. Count Dooku, the Separatist Leader, escapes.

Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Padme pursue Count Dooku to a hangar. The two Jedi engage him, but Anakin's arm is lost. Yoda arrives and bests the Count, but Dooku stages a distraction and escapes in his ship.

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith [ edit ]

It is three years since Episode II, and the Clone Wars are in motion. In a stunning act of audacity, General Grievous, leader of the Confederacy's droid armies, has abducted Chancellor Palpatine from Coruscant. The Republic forces engage the Confederacy's invasion forces, with Obi-Wan and Anakin at the spearhead.

They eventually find Count Dooku and kill him. The two Jedi rescue the Chancellor and confront Grievous, but he escapes. Obi-Wan pursues him to Utapau and, with the help of his clone commander, Cody, Grievous is slain.

Meanwhile, on the Wookiee home world of Kashyyyk, Yoda and Chewbacca are on the front lines when the clones receive Order 66 and revolt against the Jedi. Yoda escapes the planet. He and Obi-Wan return to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, where they find that Anakin has fallen to the Dark Side and killed every Jedi in the Temple.

Padme, confused and upset, journeys to Mustafar to meet with Anakin. There Padme finally realizes what her husband has done and she states that he is "going down a path that she can't follow". Obi-Wan walks off the Naboo cruiser and consequently Anakin becomes enraged. Upset and angered, Anakin uses the force to choke Padme into unconsciousness. After a dramatic fight sequence between Anakin and Obi-Wan, Anakin is left for dead, severely burned and scarred. Obi-Wan Kenobi escapes and takes Padme to an asteroid field where a medical center is located. She dies, having lost the will to live. Anakin is fitted into a suit of black Sith armor and becomes Darth Vader.

With the galaxy entering the Dark Times, Padme's twins are split up. Leia is taken to Alderaan, while Luke Skywalker is placed in the care of his aunt and uncle on Tatooine.

    Gameplay [ edit ]

LEGO Star Wars has a total of 56 playable characters. The playable characters are modeled like actual LEGO parts (but with far more mobility) and are divided into groups according to certain skills.

    Characters [ edit ]

There are a wide variety of characters included in the game, all of which are unlocked by completing levels or by purchasing them at Dexter's Diner. Every character, other than the PK Droid, the Gonk Droid and Chancellor Palpatine, have a special ability, such as extra high jumping, control of the Force, or the ability to Grapple. Droids, while not being armed, can travel through the game unimpeded (ie. they won't be intentionally attacked by enemy characters); as well, protocol droids and astromech droids can open doors via special panels. Also, unlike other armed droids, player-controlled Battle Droids will be ignored by hostile Battle Droids, but not Droidekas. The Gonk Droid is also indestructible. The characters grunt rather than speak.

Because LEGO Star Wars is based on the Prequel Trilogy (Episodes I, II and III), Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and other characters from the original Star Wars trilogy are not shown (excluding Princess Leia, who is a purchasable character once unlocked).

Unlocked characters can be imported into the game's sequel, LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, by purchasing the extra, "Use Old Save", for 250,000 LEGO studs.

    Dexter's Diner [ edit ]

Dexter's Diner is the area from which the player chooses what level to enter and view any vehicles whose parts they have found in any of the game's levels. LEGO Star Wars also has a feature called 'Free Play', which enables the player to play the same level again, but with the ability to switch between characters, thus gaining access to areas containing extras the player was unable to get before. In Free Play mode, a player may use any character they have unlocked. The player may also match up good and evil characters, such as Qui-Gon Jinn and Darth Maul. The Free Play option will only appear when the player finishes a level. Levels that are played in vehicles cannot be played in Free Play, but are able to be replayed in Story mode like the others. Some characters, such as Chancellor Palpatine, the PK Droid, and the Gonk Droid, cannot do anything but walk, although they are never attacked in the case of PK Droids and Gonk Droids, giving them the ability to traverse the levels unharmed. Also, in the Diner, players may purchase unlockable extras for studs.

    Levels [ edit ]

Each level in LEGO Star Wars loosely follows the various sequences from the Star Wars prequel films, with game play segments linked together by various cutscenes. There is no spoken dialogue; rather, the characters act out their parts using gestures and pantomime. The game begins with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn about the Trade Federation ship, and ends with Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi's duel on Mustafar.
