After The Book of Boba Fett ended today, we use the moment and take a first look at the LEGO Star Wars 2022 summer novelties! It is still a while until the release of the sets in August, accordingly the information is sparse. Nevertheless, we were able to get some details, with which we want to shorten the waiting time until summer.

Since we don’t have exact information about all sets yet, we have divided the article into two segments. First, we will show you the sets of which we know the prices and set numbers as well as the names. In the second part, you will learn about the sets for which we don’t have any information besides numbers and prices yet. For example, we know that a new AT-TE will probably be released in the summer, but we can’t say exactly in which set the walker will be released.

Please note that there are some spoilers in this article in order to classify the sets correctly – including the latest episodes of The Book of Boba Fett or The Bad Batch.

LEGO Star Wars 2022 summer novelties

75323 Cad Banes Ship

Set number 75323 is supposed to be the spaceship of the dreaded bounty hunter Cad Bane. Those who follow the various Star Wars media know that Cad Bane has owned at least three well-known ships, but we suspect that due to the relatively high price of probably 159.99 euros, it will be his latest and largest spaceship, the Justifier. Unfortunately, it’s too early to say whether the set will be based on the first or second season of The Bad Batch or perhaps another series. What is clear, however, is that at least one new Cad Bane minifigure should be included in the set.

  • Set number: 75323
  • Name: [Cad Banes Ship]
  • Pieces: 1022
  • Figures: 1+
  • Release date: 01. August 2022
  • RRP: 159,99 Euro

75332 AT-ST 4+

Even though we only got a new LEGO AT-ST in January, another one will be released directly in August. However, this will be a 4+ set, consisting of 87 parts at an expected price of 29.99 euros. As with all 4+ sets, we can expect lots of large molded parts. Stickers are not included as standard, but there are many printed parts. We assume that the 4+ AT-ST will be released against the backdrop of an Endor scenery to contrast with the 75322 Hoth AT-ST from earlier this year.

  • Set number: 75332
  • Name: [AT-ST]
  • Pieces: 87
  • Figures: ?
  • Release date: 01. August 2022
  • RRP: 29,99 Euro

75333 Jedi Starfighter

Among the LEGO Star Wars 2022 summer novelties, there will also be another Jedi Starfighter with set number 75333. Those familiar with the Star Wars sets of the past know that the set name is not necessarily meaningful due to the large number of Starfighters of various Jedi that have already appeared. However, against the backdrop of the 20th anniversary of Episode II: Attack of the Clones, we suspect that the set could be the Delta-7 flown by Obi-Wan Kenobi in the film. The set consists of 282 pieces and will probably cost 29.99 euros.

  • Set number: 75333
  • Name: [Jedi Starfighter]
  • Pieces: 282
  • Figures: ?
  • Release date: 01. August 2022
  • RRP: 29,99 Euro

75335 BD-1

LEGO Star Wars 2022 Sommer Neuheiten

In line with the as yet unnamed sequel to the video game Jedi: Fallen Order, which will most likely be released at the end of the year, a buildable figure of the droid BD-1 is among the LEGO Star Wars 2022 releases for the second half of the year. The cute companion of the Jedi Cal Kestis will thus be the successor to the set 75318 The Child from the Brick Built Characters series and, in addition to a small data plate, should also contain a minifigure of the droid.

We assume that this will not be built from individual bricks, however, but will rather be a single new molded part, analogous to the D-O figure, due to the droid’s small size. The set consists of 1062 pieces and will cost 99.99 euros. The set will also be released in August.

  • Set number: 75335
  • Name: [BD-1]
  • Pieces: 1062
  • Figures: 1
  • Release date: 01. August 2022
  • RRP: 99,99 Euro

75340 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar

It has been known for quite some time that the set 75340 will be this year’s LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar. It consists of 329 pieces and will unfortunately be more expensive here in Germany. Instead of the usual 29.99 euros, we will have to pay 34.99 euros for it from this year. Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the calendar’s content at this point. We only know that there will probably be R2-D2 and C-3PO in special Christmas outfits, as well as a Luke Skywalker minifigure in the Hoth outfit.

  • Set number: 75340
  • Name: LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar
  • Pieces: 329
  • Figures: 3+
  • Release date: 01. September 2022
  • RRP: 34,99 Euro

More LEGO Star Wars novelties

Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the following sets at the moment. However, due to the other sets described, for which we already have more information, certain conclusions can be drawn, which we would like to show you here. Please note, however, that the following are explicitly not leaks, but we can only make assumptions about what the sets will be about. As soon as we have more detailed information, we will of course share it with you.

75325 .

It has been known for some time that set 75325 is a set for the current series The Book of Boba Fett. What is special here is that the set will not be released in March like 75326 Boba Fett’s Palace, but probably in June. It is also known that the set will consist of 411 parts and will cost 69.99 euros, and that it will probably be a spaceship. Considering the content of the last episodes and which vehicles from the series will most likely be made into merchandise, we can only think of Din Djarin’s chrome-colored N-1 Starfighter.

It would also fit that we can probably expect another BD-1 figure this year. The same mold could be used for the BD droid that featured prominently in episode 5. Also, we could imagine the set including Peli Motto, some of her other droids, and a small sidebuild of her hangar in addition to the Mandalorian.

  • Set number: 75325
  • Name: ?
  • Pieces: 411
  • Figures: ?
  • Release date: 01. June 2022
  • RRP: 69,99 Euro

75331 .

With a price of $529.99, the set with the number 75331 will be the most expensive of the LEGO Star Wars 2022 novelties. At this point, we don’t yet know what exactly it will be. True to the rhythm of the last few years, it could be that it will not be a UCS set, but another representative of the Master Builder Series.

Considering that the LEGO Star Wars designers have recently stated that they want to do without exclusive figures in larger sets, it could be that this will be the Arena of Geonosis that fans have been longing for. The scenery is predestined to be realized as a Master Builder Series set, regarding the figures one could fall back on the assortment of the remaining 2022 sets for Episode II.

  • Set number: 75331
  • Name: ?
  • Pieces: ?
  • Figures: ?
  • Release date: 2022
  • RRP: $529,99

75334 .

Unfortunately, we don’t know much more about the 75334 set than that it will probably cost 49.99 Euros and consist of 408 parts. However, we could imagine – and hope a bit – that the set could be a new edition of Jango Fett’s Slave I. The set would then be a matching counterpart to the 75333 Jedi Starfighter.

  • Set number: 75334
  • Name: ?
  • Pieces: 408
  • Figures: ?
  • Release date: 01. August 2022
  • RRP: 49,99 Euro

75336 .

So far, we know that the 75336 set will cost 99.99 euros and consists of 924 parts. We also know that LEGO is currently working on an AT-TE that will probably be released to coincide with the 20th anniversary of Episode II. This one looks very similar in both size and design to the 75019 AT-TE from 2013. It is also said to include a small spider droid in the set. We can’t say for sure yet, but we suspect that the 75336 set will be the AT-TE.

  • Name: ?
  • Pieces: 924
  • Figures: ?
  • Release date: 01. August 2022
  • RRP: 99,99 Euro

75337 .

Should a new AT-TE actually be released in the summer, then one thing must of course not be missing: a new Gunship! If you look back at the last years, you can see that there was always a Gunship parallel to all three AT-TEs released by LEGO. Although there is currently a UCS Gunship in the program, the example of the AT-AT shows that it is basically no problem for LEGO to offer a playset and a collector’s set in parallel. Theoretically, this set could also be the AT-TE. The set 75337 will consist of 1082 parts and is supposed to cost 139,99 Euro.

  • Name: ?
  • Pieces: 1082
  • Figures: ?
  • Release date: 01. August 2022
  • RRP: 139,99 Euro

All LEGO Star Wars 2022 novelties

What do you think about the first information about the upcoming LEGO Star Wars 2022 summer novelties? Let us know what you think in the comments!

About a month ago we could present you details about the upcoming LEGO Technic 2022 summer novelties for the first time. In the meantime, we were able to find out a few things again, which we want to present to you in this article.

One thing in advance: The rumor still persists that this year’s LEGO Technic Super Car 42143 will not be released this year, but has probably been postponed to 2023. We could neither confirm nor refute this information in our last article. In the meantime, however, we have been informed that the car will probably be released this year after all – but that the 42146 Liebherr LR13000 could be released next year instead.

Theoretically, this makes sense. A possible reason for the postponement of the car was that it could be due to the fact that the real prototype was also postponed and will be released next year. However, as you will read below, the LEGO set is supposed to be a car that was first introduced in 2021. The crane, on the other hand, will have quite a few electrical components and will also be quite large, so again, there’s plenty of potential for why the set could be delayed. Either way, whichever of the two sets it will hit (maybe both), it’s likely at least one of the two large sets will be delayed into next year.

Don’t be surprised to see some square brackets in the article. We have always used these to indicate that we are not yet 100 percent sure here. For example, three of the four new LEGO Technic 2022 summer sets do not have official set names yet. An overview of all LEGO Technic 2022 novelties can be found here, all new LEGO sets of the year 2022 can be seen here.

42143 [Ferrari Daytona SP3]

This year’s LEGO Super Car will be a … Ferrari Daytona SP3! The supercar was unveiled late last year and pays homage to the 1967 Daytona 24-hour race. The Daytona comes with a V12 engine with 6496 cc displacement and 840 horsepower. The exterior shape is said to be reminiscent of the 330 series, which is why the car has a wraparound windshield and a removable targa roof. The chassis of the car is made entirely of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, and the body is made of composite materials.

We can’t say anything about the LEGO set’s features at this point, but they turned out to be rather sparse and not really technical in the last Super Cars. We assume that the LEGO Daytona will have a running engine, opening doors and hopefully a removable roof. The set will consist of 3776 parts and is said to have a price of 399.99 euros.

  • Set number: 42143
  • Description: [Ferrari Daytona SP3]
  • Number of parts: 3776
  • Release date: [01 August 2022]
  • Recommended age: 18+
  • RRP: 399,99 Euro

42144 [Waste Handler]

LEGO Technic 2022 Sommer Neuheiten

So ähnlich wird das neue LEGO Set aussehen (Foto: bvse.de)

Fans of the LEGO pneumatic system can look forward to the 42144 [Waste Handler]. The model consists of 835 parts and is expected to cost 99.99 euros in this country. This makes it the smallest of the LEGO Technic 2022 summer sets. Although we don’t know the exact product name yet, we do know that it will be a „Waste Handler“, i.e. a special excavator with an extendable cab and grapple, which is mainly used in scrap yards and other waste disposal operations.

  • Set number: 42144
  • Description: [Waste Handler]
  • Parts number: 835
  • Release date: 01 August 2022
  • Recommended age: ?
  • MSRP: 99,99 Euro

The set contains three pneumatic cylinders, including probably for the first time two in gray color, which are operated by a hand pump and are responsible for the movements of the gripper arm and the gripper tongs with 4 claws. As with the real thing, the height of the driver’s cab can be adjusted. To do this, you just have to turn a gear wheel behind the cabin. The vehicle runs on 4 wheels, of which at least the front two are also steerable. In addition, 4 supports provide more stability during play. The set is kept in a red-black color scheme.

42145 Airbus H175 Rescue Helicopter

Ein Airbus H175 (Foto: Tom Andreas Østrem)

After the 42113 Bell Boing V-22 Osprey had to be taken off the market 2 years ago before it was even properly released, the Danes now present us with the next „Rescue Helicopter“ in the Technic series. We hope that the operating conditions of the original were better clarified in advance this time, because according to our sources, the set will also be released with a license: this time with the permission of the aviation company Airbus! To be more precise, it is supposed to be an Airbus H175 Rescue Helicopter.

  • Set number: 42145
  • Description: Airbus H175 Rescue Helicopter
  • Number of parts: 2001
  • Release date: 01. August 2022
  • Recommended age: 11+
  • RRP: 199,99 Euro

The model is said to consist of 2001 parts, and the MSRP in this country will probably be 199.99 euros. Visually, the helicopter is predominantly red and yellow, which will most likely be the new yellow hue that is currently already used in the LEGO City sets. The model will feature motorized functions and we strongly assume that the Control+ battery box introduced in the Osprey is now installed here for the first time! The main and tail rotor can be rotated in two different speeds, the main rotor consists of 5 rotor blades. These can even be adjusted in pitch, in reality this causes the helicopter to climb or descend.

On both sides of the cockpit there are control sticks, with which you can actually adjust the tilt of the main rotor, to simulate a flight to the front, back, right or left. A few new parts are said to have been designed for this purpose. The set also includes a working winch, with a hook that can be let down via a device on the outer wall. both cockpit doors and the large sliding door on the side can be opened by hand.

42146 [Liebherr LR 13000]

Ein Liebherr LR 13000 (Foto: Liebherr)

Probably the most impressive set of the upcoming LEGO Technic 2022 summer sets of the second half of the year will be a huge crane. This will be a Liebherr LR 13000, which in real life is the strongest crawler crane in the world with a lifting capacity of 3000 tons. The maximum system length of the crane is 246 m, which also makes it the largest crawler crane of all time.

  • Set number: 42146
  • Description: [Liebherr LR 13000]
  • Parts number: 2882
  • Release date: [01 August 2022]
  • Recommended age: 18+
  • MSRP: €449.99

And the LEGO model is likely to be just as impressive, as it is said to be the tallest LEGO Technic model ever. Last month we assumed it would be at least 1.50m tall, however it now seems that the crane has been trimmed somewhat in the ongoing design process. This would also explain why the price in Germany is supposed to be 449.99 Euros according to the latest information, instead of the 599.99 US dollars we know.

Incidentally, we can now confirm that the relatively low part count of 2882 actually comes from LEGO using lots of new 7×17 studs large molded parts for the crane’s arms, which drive the price up and the part count down. There will also be 20 new elements that will give a counterweight of 1 kg.

The disproportion between price and parts count (over 20 ct per part) can probably also be explained to some extent by the use of lots of electronic Control+ elements. The set will include a total of 6 motors and 2 Smarthubs, and the crane will be controlled via the Control+ app.

What is your first impression of the LEGO Technic 2022 summer novelties? Are you happy with the selection of sets or would you have preferred other models? What do you think about the fact that a giant crawler crane will be released in the second half of the year? Let us know what you think in the comments!

The Taiwanese 2HY LEGO Catalogue has given us a sneak peek at two new LEGO Technic sets that are due to arrive in August 2022 – 42144 Material Handler and 42145 Airbus H175 Rescue Helicopter.

42145 Airbus H175 Rescue Helicopter should appeal to helicopter enthusiasts, and it’s also quite sizable at 72cm across, and is officially Airbus licensed.

Update: we now have more official set images of the 42144 Material Handler and 42145 Airbus H175 Rescue Helicopter, which you can find below!

I’m not too familiar with helicopters, but the H175 is apparently a world record holder, with a time-to-climb record of 6,000 metres in 6 min., 54 sec., and a time-to-climb record of 3,000 metres in 3 min., 10 sec according to Airbus.

42145 Airbus H175 Rescue Helicopter

Want to discover how a helicopter works? Here’s your chance!

With this LEGO® Technic™ Airbus H175 Rescue Helicopter set, you’ll build your own search and rescue helicopter. See how the different parts work together – just like they do in a real helicopter.

Features and functions include a spin rotor, tail rotor, retractable landing gear, cowling, winch and spinning engine.

Like all helicopters, there is a variant used for military – the H175M…. so let’s hope it doesn’t get Osprey’d.

For fans of cranes and builds with pneumatic cylinders, the 42144 Material Handler is also a great addition, and I do like the red colour scheme, which is a fresh change from the usual yellow models.

42144 Material Handler

Do you love mechanics and engineering? Then you’ll enjoy this action-packed build!

The LEGO® Technic™ Material Handler set gives you a fascinating look at how a material handler vehicle really works.

It has lots of manual and pneumatic functions so you can explore how this mighty vehicle sorts, piles and loads scrap materials ready for processing.

The LEGO Summer 2022 LEGO Preview season has officially kicked off!

As we approach the second half of the year, we’re starting to get a glimpse of LEGO’s slate of products for 2HY (second half) 2022, and German toy retailer Wagner’s has uploaded a whole bunch of product listings with sets coming in the second half of the year.

There aren’t images yet, but we do have some set numbers, set names, piece counts and prices in Euros. Do also note that these are likely just partial lists, and we should get a clearer idea of what’s to come in early May, when we’ll likely get set images as well.

Some really interesting confirmations of previous rumours, such as the presence of the LEGO Optimus Prime, some licensed Speed Champions sets (Fast & Furious and James Bond), Ninjago Season 15, as well as upcoming LEGO Star Wars sets tied in with the Obi Wan Kenobi TV series on Disney+.

We don’t have release dates yet, but expect all these sets to be available in June and beyond!

Additionally, the LEGO Instructions portal has given us a glimpse of two upcoming City and Friends sets in these low-res images – we get a look at 60336 Freight Train and 41714 Andrea’s Theater School which is just the perfect set to go with the Muppets minifigures.

We need resident evil sets and have the gimmicks be buying smaller sets to make bigger ones with the exception of the ecliptic express, other vehicles where those one whole set, interchangeable character parts for los plagas and j,avos for mutations, duplicate characters for their mutated form, and somehow finally giving mini figures the ability to hold something with both hands

Man, when I first seen the Ninjago pic, I thought it was an Aether Crystal and they were doing some COD Zombies sets!

Come on, a Lego set of each map (or maybe spawn rooms or pack room etc), little Jug and mystery boxes. Different zombies figure designs

Hey there, great list man and can’t wait for the new lego supercar. Regarding the airbus, the pieces and the price from the Daytona are copied, there should be 2001 pieces for $199,99.

Keep up the great work!

It’s so nice seeing so many DC sets and new minifugures we’ve never seen before. Bless Lego for always showing love for DC

I wonder what homage 71411 is going to be? Super Nintendo, perhaps?

Secretly hoping it’s a Mario Galaxy homage. We’ve had Super Mario Bros 3, NES, Mario 64, and some light Sunshine, so it seems like the Galaxy era is the next to get some love!

Or Odyssey would be really nice.

With the recent news of the Chris Pratt Mario Movie being delayed, I fully expect a few things to be pushed…

So excited for Kenobi sets, hope for a new inquisitor Minifigure.

It’s almost a given, with what we’ve seen in the trailers!

Sad that the Van Gogh set isn’t on this list! Had hoped that would come out in May or June!

Looking forward to seeing the Avatar, Ninjago and some of the new City sets.

Oh… a new AT-TE set for Star Wars?!

I better start saving my money….

I’m looking forward to it too! It’s about time! Plus, I can use money that I saved from not buying the Landspeeder..

Very interested to see the (hi-res) images for both new trains coming out. Also, very excited to see this happening: 42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3. Of course, now I really need to save up some dough! Especially if Optimus Prime and the jump Sanctum Santorum are as good as I’m hoping.

Yeah, really happy for trains, and hope there’s also an 18+/Creator Expert-scale one in the works too.

Looking like a strong second half of 2022! And who knows what else LEGO has up their sleeves!

The pyramid of Giza better go up a few levels then switch from tan to yellow and finish off with blue bricks as that’s the historically accurate way to build a Lego pyramid.

Let’s just say… you’re not going to be disappointed by it.

I’m just really excited that Architecture is going down the route of historical landmarks/wonders of the world.

So disappointed…I saw the purple crystal and thought it would be for a Jim Henson Dark Crystal set. Only thing better would be a set from the TV series of dark crystal.

Sorry! That would be a REALLY great fantasy series… but maybe too obscure unless there’s some sort of furture reboot.

Jim Allen Johnston says

ha ha — I had the exact same thought when I saw that purple crystal ! Some of the Dark Crystal fan built sets are fantastic. If only they’d win one of the votes and get created!

oh well, will just have to be content with Muppets (for now…)

Would love to get Optimus Prime and the Great Pyramids of Egypt.

I REALLY want to see what both look like. In my head, there’s so much potential .

This could be my most expensive LEGO year ever and this list doesn’t even include the rumoured 10307 Eiffel Tower.
I find the idea of a LEGO Architecture Pyramid intriguing. I wonder what they can do to avoid it being an incredibly boring build.
Speed Champions sets are not known for play features but a 007 Aston Martin DB5 almost demands something.
By the way the CITY Freight Train is 60336 (not 60036)

Yeah, Eiffel Tower could potentially be huge (in more ways than one), but I hope they make it look interesting, and not a blocky grey mass like the first one.

Maybe for the Pyramid, they can opt for the historical version, before the Limestone exterior and gold capstone was removed.

They had better include a minifigure in that DB5…

Thanks for that, fixed up the set number for the train!
