And that’s a wrap! LEGO CON 2022 has officially come to an end *crying face*. It was an AWESOME show packed with all the latest news and excitement from the LEGO brick universe. We hope you enjoyed watching it!

LEGO Masters goes LIVE
The hit television series, LEGO Masters, went LIVE with a special show just for LEGO CON 2022.
Featuring six builders from LEGO Master’s shows around the world, contestants (including Magnus & Frederik, winners of LEGO Masters Denmark) took part in a high-pressure live building challenge for our 90th anniversary.
Oh, and Will Arnett (yes, that Will Arnett) made an appearance. No big deal.
Sanctum Sanctorum
We pulled the cloak from our new LEGO Dr Strange™ set
Then it was onto our favorite mystical wizard from the Marvel™ universe! We opened the magical portal to reveal the new LEGO Marvel Dr Strange Sanctum Sanctorum, giving fans a first look at the set.
LEGO designer Justin took us through all the details of Strange’s mysterious Sanctum Sanctorum (in brick form), including 10 new Minifigures.

Introducing the LEGO CON Newsdesks
We introduced live Newsdesks at LEGO CON 2022 bringing all the latest headlines to the audience throughout the show.
We heard the latest from the world of LEGO Gaming and got all the scoop from fan-favorites like LEGO BrickHeadz (where we introduced the new LEGO BrickHeadz FC Barcelona Go Brick Me set) and LEGO Art.
Plus, we had a special sidekick on the show, Charlie the robot, to demonstrate some of its new machine learning features. Robots rule!

И казалось бы, от этих новостей уже грустно, но Маккей ещё и поделился деталями потенциального продолжения с изданием Collider. Звучат они настолько круто, что хочется рыдать. Так что читайте наш краткий пересказ на свой страх и риск.
Сперва давайте разберёмся в чём проблема и что за ерунда происходит с правами. «Лего Фильм: Бэтмен» появился как спин-офф «Лего Фильма» — спродюсировали всё это дело ребята из Warner Bros. Следовательно, у создателей был доступ ко всей библиотеке WB. Но вот случился 2020-й, и Universal по эксклюзивной сделке забрала права на всю LEGO-франшизу. Теперь LEGO-персонажи, которых WB использовал (например, Гарри Поттер, Бэтмен), вряд ли получат хоть какое-то продолжение истории.
Итак, детали. Первый черновик сценария написали Дэн Хармон («Рик и Морти», «Сообщество») и Майкл Уолдрон («Квест Хармона», «Локи»). По словам Маккея, получилось всё великолепно: с точки зрения и экшна, и сюжета. Злодеями должны были стать Лекс Лютор и киборги OMAC. В сюжете появились бы Аквамен, Чудо-женщина, Лоис. В какой-то момент должен был произойти большой кроссовер, который, по словам Маккея, «можно сделать только в LEGO-фильме». Вероятно, он имеет в виду то, что в сюжете появились бы герои из Marvel. Майкл Уолдрон, кстати, даже поделился первой страницей сценария:
Это довольно грустная история о том, как крутые проекты не могут реализоваться из-за бюрократических проблем. Здорово, что есть хоть какая-то возможность узнать, что бы из этого получилось.
Here’s your first look at 4 new LEGO sets based on the upcoming Matt Reeves The Batman (2022) film, which is set to hit theatres in March 2022!
There are 3 LEGO sets and 1 Technic sets from this wave, and likely more to come, but this gives us a really good look at what we can expect from the blockbuster movie and return of The Dark Knight to the big screen next year.
Personally, I’m a little annoyed at the large discrepancy with release dates, but as someone based in Australia, I don’t really mind, given that we were very lucky to get the 2nd Half 2021 sets early this year, whereas those in the US had to wait till August.
76183 Batcave: The Riddler Face-off
Minifigures: Batman, Selina Kyle, The Riddler, The Drifter (Bruce Wayne), Alfred and Commissioner Gordon
76183 Batcave: The Riddler Face-off is your classic LEGO Batcave set, which is almost its own archetype at this stage and features nearly the complete cast of main characters in the movie, minus The Penguin.
It’s the only set revealed so far that includes the main villain, The Riddler, and the design looks pretty average – it looks more like a garage/workshop than a Batcave, but without actually watching the movie, it’s difficult to say how well this matches the real thing.
While being quite light of actual “stuff” – thankfully, the price isn’t too crazy, but I’m quite underwhelmed by the design. The concept of the Batcave in some sort of underground train station (Wayne Terminus), is kinda cool, but I wish there were more to the set than a large archway.
76183 Batcave: The Riddler Face-off

76183 Batcave: The Riddler Face-off is probably my pick out of all the sets revealed so far – it’s a fairly accessible, minifigure-scale Batmobile, and also comes with an exclusive Penguin (played by Colin Farrell) minifigure.
I kinda like this version of the Batmobile – in The Batman, which takes place in Bruce’s second year as Batman, he looks like he’s just taken a muscle car, modified it with weapons a little and painted it black.
I’m excited for this one out of the entire wave the most.
76179 Batman & Selina Kyle Motorcycle Pursuit
Minifigures: Batman, Selina Kyle
76179 Batman & Selina Kyle Motorcycle Pursuit is the smallest set of the wave, and includes 2 minifigures, Batman and Selina Kyle (pre-Catwoman, I’m guessing), and I think pairs up well with the Batmobile set.
What’s interesting about this set is the brick-built motorcycles, something that LEGO hasn’t done before, and they look pretty fun to build. Also includes a neat glow in the dark Bat Signal!
42127 THE BATMAN – BATMOBILE
If the smaller Batmobile is too kiddy for your tastes, LEGO has you covered with an upscaled, Technic version of the Batmobile as well. Designed in the same vein as Dom’s Charger from the Fast & Furious, this is a great alternative for Technic fans, and those wanting a beefier version of the Batmobile.
The new Technic panels and elements in black will also be appealing to Technic builders, and at this scale, I think this does the Batmobile a lot more justice, as you can really appreciate the curves and stocky details of the vehicle.
Not too heavily reliant on stickers as well, and has some light bricks to jazz it up, although you’re probably better off equipping this with some proper LEGO LED lights from someone like Light My Bricks, who will undoubtedly produce a kit for this set.
That’s it for my early impressions of the The Batman (2022) sets. It seems like a fairly small wave, and based on the set numbering, I think we’ll see more (closer to the premiere), seeing as how this is one of Warner Bros’ marque movies of 2022, and LEGO and Batman have a long, storied history together.
Out of all the sets, I think both Batmobiles are my picks, and the Batcave is the most disappointing out of the lot, but would be a good pickup if it goes on deep discount.

О них мы узнали по описаниям предстоящих новинок: 76179 «Бэтмен и Селина Кайл», 76181 «Бэтмобиль: Погоня за пингвином», 76183 «Пещера Бэтмена: Противостояние загадочников» и 42127 «Бэтмобиль».
И хотя в трейлере демонстрируется всего одна полноценная сцена с их участием, а остальные – лишь эпизодически, понятно, что сюжет имеет прямое отношение именно к перечисленным конструкторам. Потому что они разработаны по новому кинопроекту о приключениях супергероя и появятся на прилавках магазинов к его премьерному показу.
Наряду со всем, фанаты конструирования ожидают увидеть в новых наборах не только интересные постройки и модели транспортных средств, но и миниатюрные фигурки. В первую очередь, главного героя – Бэтмена, в совершенно новых костюмах.
