Here’s how to find, unlock & buy Red Bricks in this guide for Lego The Hobbit.

Tip: Some of them will require you to complete quests in the vicinity to open up the red brick quest.

Where to find all Red Bricks in Lego The Hobbit? The in-game collectibles locations for the Red Bricks are described in this detailed video guide with handy voice-over tips.

Overview for the Red Bricks Locations Guide Video:

Take the following steps to unlock each one; where available…

Red Brick 1: Studs x2

Description: This first Red Brick is called “Studs Score Multiplier x2”. This and the other four Stud multipliers are very handy to turn on at the same time at the start of your game, because you’ll make your Stud counter number go up and up and up, so you’ll always have enough Studs to buy characters, as well as easily get “Master Burglar” studs requirement status at the end of each level for ‘finding’ many studs per level.

Location: You have to have the blacksmith make the Mithril Flail item from the schematic, and give it to the Hobbit from the “A Flail of a Time” quest. Find the Hobbit on the far north side of Hobbiton.

Price: The cost to buy this Red Brick is 500,000 studs.

Where exactly to find the Studs x2 Red Brick: The Mithril Flail blacksmith design/schematic is hiding in “Level 6: Over Hill and Under Hill”.

It’s shown in this video guide with in-game directions where to buy the red brick at.

Red Brick 2: Studs x4

Description: This second Red Brick is called “Studs Score Multiplier x4”.

Location: You have to have the blacksmith make the Mithril Shadow Blade and bring it to the guy in Hobbiton who gives you the “Dual Wielding” quest, to get himself a shadow ally in battle. On the map he can be found east of Rivendell, by setting “Dual Wielding” as your destination and traveling there through the The High Pass.

Price: The cost to buy this Red Brick is 1,500,000 studs.

Where exactly to find the Studs x4 Red Brick: It’s shown in this video guide with in-game directions where to buy the red brick at.

Red Brick 3: Studs x6

Description: This third Red Brick is called “Studs Score Multiplier x6”.

Location: You have to have the blacksmith make the Mithril Construction Hat and bring it to the Orc in Moria who gives you the “Build Day” quest. On the map he can be found east of Moria, by setting “Build Day” as your destination and traveling there.

Price: The cost to buy this Red Brick is 4,500,000 studs.

Where exactly to find the Studs x6 Red Brick: It’s shown in this video guide with in-game directions where to buy the red brick at.

Red Brick 4: Minikit Detector

Description: This fourth Red Brick is called “Minikit Detector” because it indicates with on-screen arrows where exactly the Minikits are located in the game.

Location: You have to have the blacksmith make the Mithril Bandit Gloves and give it to the woman who gave you the “Spoils of War” quest, she needs it for her sister who serves in Thranduil’s guard. On the map look between the words Rivendell, Erebor & Esgaroth to find a deserted area near the mountains. Set the “Spoils of War” as your destination, and get to her by traveling through Thranduil’s Kingdom.

Price: The cost to buy this Red Brick is 150,000 studs.

Where exactly to find the Minikit Detector Red Brick: It’s shown in this video guide with in-game directions where to buy the red brick at.

Red Brick 5: Carnival

Description: This fifth Red Brick is called “Carnival” because it turns the game world into a dance club with disco lights everywhere, complete with a Dubstep song playing the remixed dialogues from the movie. Yes, really, it’s brilliant!

Location: You have to have the blacksmith make the Mithril Skeleton Crank (the design for it is in the Troll Hoard level) and give it to quest-giver near Radagast’s House.

Price: The cost to buy this Red Brick is ? studs.

Lego The Hobbit - Red Bricks Guide [infinite life, multipliers, etc]

Here are the tricks, the real ones.

All red bricks from Lego The Hobbit

As explained in the cheat codes guide to unlock some of the Lego The Hobbit characters, also in this new chapter of the Lego series (as well as in Lego the Movie) the tricks like invincibility, coin multipliers, etc. they can only be unlocked and used by finding the corresponding red brick during the game. This means that there is no code for these tricks.

In this guide we see then where all the red bricks are of Lego The Hobbit that allow you to activate the tricks of the game.

Remember that using cheats does NOT prevent you from unlocking achievements and trophies, so use them as and when you like without worries.

To unlock the red bricks and have the opportunity to buy them by spending a certain amount of tokens, we will almost always have to complete special secondary quests. These missions are highlighted on the map with a red question mark and often require you to return a particular item to the character who assigned you the quest. When you do, you will have the red brick as a reward.

If you arrive in the marked area and do not find the character who has to assign you the mission, there are two possible causes: the first is that you are at the wrong time (some quests can only be started at certain times of the day, only during the day or only at night), the second is that there are side missions you need to complete FIRST to be able to face the mission of the red brick (these missions are always in the vicinity anyway).

Below is a video showing how to get the red bricks and a list that contains, in order:

Red brick.jpg

Power Bricks (called Parcels in LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures and Red Hats in Lego Pirates Of The Caribbean), also known as Red Bricks or even Red Power Bricks have been in every game in the series except for LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game. They have been a secondary collectible of the series. In each main level of the game, there is an elusive Red Brick to collect. Some can be collected in Story Mode. Some require additional gameplay in Free Play Mode. Upon collecting a Power Brick or Parcel, an extra appears in the hub level of that game's shop available for purchase. These Power Bricks help achieve 100% in all games since their introduction. In LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, after 100.0% completion, a bonus of "All Power Bricks Unlocked" was awarded; unfortunately, to achieve 100%, all Power Bricks are required.

In LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, Parcels aren't collected like standard Power Bricks. Instead of just being touched like Red Bricks, Parcels have to be picked up and carefully deposited into the nearby Red Mailbox. Once there, they appear in the hub, Barnett College, to be purchased. This type of red brick later re-appears in LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, delivering the Parcels to an owl instead of a mailbox and being purchased from Eeylop's Owl Emporium in Diagon Alley.

The Power Bricks that appear in LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game levels are only existent in their LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga level counterparts.

In LEGO Batman: The Videogame, there are fifteen normal Power Bricks that grant Extras in the villain missions, but in the hero missions, the Power Bricks, though collected similarly, grant Suit Upgrades that upgrade the eight suits.

The extra Power Brick Detector causes an arrow to appear near where the Power Brick is, helping you find it.
