The Polar Express G-Gauge от Lionel
G-Gauge — поезд масштаба 1:22,5. Один из самых больших размеров среди модельных дорог. Данный набор работает от пульта и на батарейках (можно заменить на аккумулятор). Имеет пластмассовые рельсы. Есть возможность увеличения дороги треками этой же марки. Также у частных продавцов на американском ebay можно купить новые вагоны из специально «раздраконенных» для продажи аналогичных наборов.

Набор включает: паровоз, тендер с углем, 2 вагона (один из них — с призраком-перевертышем), 2 фигурки (кондуктора и мальчика), пульт управления (с прорезиненными боковинами и безопасной антенной), рельсы, рождественский колокольчик. Рельсы сделаны из очень качественной пластмассы и имеют простое, но прочное соединение. Никаких проводов в треках. Вагоны внутри полые — под отвинченной крышей можно катать игрушки. Сцепка легкая (надо только понять принцип) и на удивление надежная — в ходе игры самопроизвольно ничего не отцепляется. Поезд действительно большой и очень реалистичный. Наш пятилетний железнодорожник (а с ним и вся взрослая часть семьи) в полном восторге!

The Polar Express O-Gauge от Lionel
O-Gauge — поезд масштаба 1:48. Это модельная дорога, которая работает от тока, подающегося к рельсам. СтОит в два раза дороже своего собрата G-Gauge, игровых возможностей при этом имеет меньше: в вагонах возить никого нельзя (так как там проведено освещение), более сложное соединение треков, на крышах нет таких замечательных сугробов со следами, вагон с исчезающим призраком идет не в комплекте, а как дополнительный аксессуар… Но больше вариантов расширения: имеются тоннели, другие разнообразные вагоны и дополнения, правда, по цене выходит все это дорого, особенно с учетом международной пересылки из США.

Набор включает: литой металлический паровоз, тендер с углем, 3 вагона со светящимися окошками (без призрака-перевертыша), 4 фигурки (кондуктор, мальчик, машинист, кочегар, все с поворотом головы, подвижными руками, гибкой талией и соединенными коленями), блок управления, рельсы, рождественский колокольчик. У паровоза есть пар, звуки, горит лампочка.
Данный выпуск ориентирован в большей степени на коллекционеров и серьезных моделистов.

Lionel Little Lines Polar Express Train Set — поезд небольшого размера, работает на батарейках, управляется пультом. Движение вперед-назад, звуки.
Набор включает: паровоз, тендер с углем, 3 вагона, пульт управления, 6 фигурок оленей, рельсы, мост, диораму. По отзывам, данный поезд ездит на рельсах известной фирмы Geotrax (и наоборот), при этом сами треки НЕ взаимозаменяемы. Также часто встречается упоминание о слишком громком динамике и, наоборот, о слишком слабой тяге паровоза (поезд в горку забирается с трудом).

In 2004-th a genius of cinematography Robert Zemeckis gave the world a real Christmas miracle that we all know and love as The Polar Express. Based on 1985 children book written by Chris Van Allsburg The Polar Express has become the first ever film made entirely with motion-capture animation and Tom Hanks gave his voice and facial expressions to 6 characters in total! The movie has a bunch of records and “the most” titles but the real reason we love it for is it’s unique spirit, plot and atmosphere of a real miracle that is just about to happen! Besides, who doesn’t love the trains? 😊
The idea of creating an ultimate Christmas train dates back to 2016-th. At that time, I just started my Lego journey and in that regards I had nothing except of Santa’s Workshop set, love to Christmas and everything around this holiday. Being inspired with the above mentioned set I was enthused by the idea of having a Lego train going around our Christmas tree. The Polar Express has been on our “to watch during the holidays” list for many years, so I knew for sure that this is the only train we need. After a quick web search I haven’t found a Lego set but I have found something more valuable – the Lego Ideas website! Long story short – I was hooked, and I owe the Polar Express that I’m an AFOL, as since that very moment there wasn’t a day that I didn’t visit the website.
Obviously at that time I didn’t have enough skills to create something as big and complex as a train model. Thanks to Lego Ideas – I’ve started to practice with smaller models, took part in contests, activities etc. and little by little started to work on my dream train. Of course, there were numerous breaks, fails, other projects etc. but I never left the idea of creating my “ultimate Christmas train”. Well… looks like we might be on time for the 20-th movie anniversary in 2024-th!
*The model you see on renders and video has around 2800 pieces but can be easily scaled down to 2000 or even less by using existing train platforms (6 studs wide cars with 5 windows and 1 row of seats, will be posted shortly in updates).

This Moc has been using the several versions of the Harry Potters train! I Hope you like it! You can built as many cars as you like. In this Case I have made the Famous Polar express as a 2021/2022 Holidays special design!
The Polar Express is a 2004 American computer-animated Christmas musical fantasy adventure film co-written and directed by Robert Zemeckis, based on the 1985 children’s book of the same name by Chris Van Allsburg, who also served as one of the executive producers. The film features human characters animated using live-action motion-capture animation. It tells the story of a young boy who, on Christmas Eve, sees a mysterious train bound for the North Pole stop outside his window and is invited aboard by its conductor. The boy joins several other children as they embark on a journey to visit Santa Claus preparing for Christmas. The film stars Tom Hanks, also one of the film’s executive producers, in multiple distinct roles, with Daryl Sabara, Nona Gaye, Jimmy Bennett, and Eddie Deezen in supporting roles.
