LEGO Captain America Civil War is a subtheme of Marvel initially released in 2016 based on the film Captain America: Civil War produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Sets are based on the film's plot in which political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability when the actions of the Avengers lead to collateral damage. This deeply divides members of the team as Captain America believes superheroes should remain free to defend humanity without government interference and Iron Man sharply disagrees and supports oversight.

The LEGO Marvel Super Heroes theme is based on the characters created by Marvel Comics. Originally Marvel was a subtheme of the LEGO Super Heroes theme but was later separated into its own theme. Over time, sets in the Marvel Super Heroes theme includes most characters and situations released to the marvel Universe from films to the comics to TV series.

After defeating Red Skull, Rogers became frozen in a block of ice only to be thawed out in the modern world. Now living in modern times, Rogers has become a member and eventually leader of the Avengers. Fighting for red, white and blue, Captain America is the living, breathing symbol of freedom and liberty.

Later when Captain America accompanies Iron Man to Stark Tower they find that the entire place is hacked including Aldrich Killian and Mandarin who had broke into the system. However Captain America appears just in time to aid Human Torch in his battle; they manage to defeat Red Skull.

Predating many of the familiar superheroes of today, Captain America made his debut in 1941, in a Timely Comics (the forerunner to Marvel Comics) publication titled, Captain America Comics. The character soon became a popular wartime superhero, taking on German and Japanese forces with patriotic vigor.

The release in 1944 of the Captain America movie serial made Captain America the first Marvel Comics character to exist beyond the pages of a comic book. In more recent years, Captain America has starred in many movies, as well as making cameo appearances in others.

In 2011, the character featured in Captain America: The First Avenger, then The Avengers in 2012, Captain America: The Winter Soldier in 2014, Avengers: Age of Ultron in 2015, Captain America: Civil War in 2016, Avengers: Infinity War in 2018, and Avengers: Endgame in 2019.

With his fame extending way beyond his beloved United States, Captain America has spawned a plethora of kids’ action figures and superhero toys, including a range of LEGO® sets that have proved a popular gift for kids of all ages.

Captain America (Steve Rogers), patriotic super-soldier and leader of the Avengers.

When a weak, young man called Steve Rogers received an experimental serum developed by the United States’ government to boost its effectiveness in World War II, he emerged as a super-soldier, boosted to the maximum of human strength and ability.

The Army called their enhanced combatant, Captain America. Soon, he became a one-man fighting force, determined to battle for freedom and justice. The character’s wartime experience made him a skilled commander and expert strategist. This gained him the respect of fellow superheroes, and made him the natural leader of the Avengers.

LEGO® Marvel Avengers 76123 Captain America: Outriders Attack

LEGO® Marvel Avengers 76123 Captain America: Outriders Attack lets young superheroes build Captain America’s motorbike and attack a group of 3 evil Outriders. This awesome buildable motorcycle toy features a minifigure cockpit, 2 shield shooters, detachable non-shooting blasters and an exhaust flame element.

Kids can detach the blasters and put them in Captain America’s hands, as they power into battle, recreating exciting scenes from the Marvel Avengers movies. A great gift for kids who love imaginative superhero role-play.

Marvel Civil War

The critically acclaimed 2006-2007 Marvel Story arc Civil War comes to life for the first time in this Lego project. For those who don't know the story: Following the passing of the Superhero Registration Act requiring all Super-Heroes to give up their secret identities and work for the government, a separation between the heroes occurs, causing an all-out Civil War. Captain America, thinking the act unconstitutional, leads the team of rebels against Iron Man's pro-registration team.

This set depicts the very first battle in the Civil War at the Geffen-Meyer Chemical Plant. Since the Civil War comic story arc is getting a reboot this summer (2015) and the movie Captain America: Civil War is to come the following year, I think it would be a great opportunity to make a Civil War-themed set!

-Minifigures-

  • Iron Man
  • Ms. Marvel
  • Spider-Man (Iron Spider)
  • Hawkeye (Classic)
  • She-Hulk
  • Radioactive Man

Team Captain America:

  • Captain America (Battle Damage)
  • Falcon (Classic)
  • Daredevil
  • Punisher
  • Moon Knight
  • Tigra

On Iron Man's side is a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicopter with turning propellor and pivoting flick-fire missiles. In the chemical plant part of the set, Radioactive Man has a turret with a cannon that fires toxic waste. Captain America has his motorcycle and his team has an armored vehicle with opening doors and back, as well as flick fire "shield" missiles.

The most exciting part of this project for me is all the Marvel Super-Heroes never before seen in Lego form! It was indeed a difficult choice to decide which heroes to include, but I am happy with the choices I made. With new versions of Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, Hawkeye, and Falcon as well as never-before-seen-in-Lego characters Daredevil, Punisher, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, and Tigra, this set is packed full of gems that any Marvel fan would love to get their hands on! I would also like to point out the three female Super-Heroes (more than we've ever seen before in any manufactured Lego set), that may appeal to female fans of Lego and Marvel. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the way each character turned out and I hope I did justice to your favorite Marvel Super-Heroes!

With a substantial build, great characters and a gripping back story, this set would provide hours of fun for all ages. Please support and share this project! Don't forget to leave a comment and tell me what you think about this set!
