How to Make a Minifigure Walk
Want to learn how to make your Stormtroopers™ march? In this video, Forrest Whaley demonstrates the process of creating a minifigure walk in stop motion animation. It can help to watch how people walk to get the movements down. When you put one leg forward, swing the opposite arm of the minifigure forwards. With each movement, shift the torso just a little bit to make it look a little more realistic. Then, once you’ve created this small walking loop, you can repeat it! Bring your still life to life
It’s time for a little Grogu™ still life practice! Grab your minifigure and follow along as Casper teaches you how to make your minifigure drawing float. The first step is creating a base sketch out of pencil so you can make changes to the face and body shape until you get it just how you want it. Then, go over all the lines, including the details, with a thin marker. Next, go back around the outside of the drawing with a thicker marker. This will give your minifigure some weight on the page. When it comes to color, try using different hues of the same color to create depth and show off the details. And now for the final step – making it float! Use a soft color under the minifigure to shade in a little spot that kind of mimics the shape of your minifigure. Think about what your shadow would look like if you were floating!

How to Build a Background
One really cool way to add depth, light and movement into your Brick Film is to use a projection in the background. In this video, Forrest Whaley teaches you about a rear screen projection and how he uses animation and a projector to make his backgrounds move. You can do this in your own home by using a computer, tv or tablet screen in the background!

Simple movements can make big changes to photos. Try out different ways to make your scenery move around your models or find ways to make your models move on their own! Fishing line can be a great tool to make things look like they’re floating and moving on their own.

LEGO Masters goes LIVE
The hit television series, LEGO Masters, went LIVE with a special show just for LEGO CON 2022.
Featuring six builders from LEGO Master’s shows around the world, contestants (including Magnus & Frederik, winners of LEGO Masters Denmark) took part in a high-pressure live building challenge for our 90th anniversary.
Oh, and Will Arnett (yes, that Will Arnett) made an appearance. No big deal.
Sanctum Sanctorum
We pulled the cloak from our new LEGO Dr Strange™ set
Then it was onto our favorite mystical wizard from the Marvel™ universe! We opened the magical portal to reveal the new LEGO Marvel Dr Strange Sanctum Sanctorum, giving fans a first look at the set.
LEGO designer Justin took us through all the details of Strange’s mysterious Sanctum Sanctorum (in brick form), including 10 new Minifigures.

The Original Trilogy
The first movie, Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, came out in 1977, and it’s the first in the Original Trilogy. It was followed by Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back in in 1980 and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi in 1983.
Storyline Archvillain Darth Vader and the Empire have enslaved or destroyed whole planets in a reign of terror. We follow the rise of the Rebel Alliance, led by Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, their trusty droids and the last remaining members of the long-forgotten order of Jedi knights, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Master Yoda.
The Prequels
Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999), Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002) and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005) are all referred to as The Prequels, taking place in the decades leading up to the Original Trilogy storyline.
Storyline The Prequels recount how Darth Vader escaped child slavery on the planet Tatooine and grew up to train as a Jedi knight, only to be seduced by the dark side.
The New Movies
The New Movies are immediate sequels to the Original Trilogy. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi landed in theaters in 2015 and 2017, and Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker concluded the saga in 2019.
Storyline The final three movies in the saga follow the next generation of heroes, Rey, Finn and Poe, decades after Darth Vader’s demise. The brutal First Order under General Snoke has gained power. His apprentice, Kylo Ren, vows to carry on the legacy of the old Empire. Ren’s volatile connection with Rey eventually seals the fate of the galaxy…
