LEGO DC Super-Villains Gold Bricks - How and where to get Gold Bricks?

LEGO DC Super-Villains is, like any other contemporary LEGO game, host to too many collectables to keep track of, though it's quite a joy to keep finding them all the time. A particular constant among these titles are the so-called Gold Bricks, and you can get them in a variety of ways.

LEGO DC Supervillains Gold Bricks are attained by either fulfilling special level-specific objectives or, alternatively, by solving puzzles throughout the overworld, and there's a grand total of 200 of them to be found.

LEGO DC Super-Villains Gold Bricks - How and where to get Gold Bricks?

LEGO DC Super-Villains Gold Bricks - How and where to get Gold Bricks?

Of the 200 Supervillains Gold Bricks, 120 require overworld puzzling, and for these you'll have to scour the game to find/solve them, while the 80 remaining ones can be received by completing aforementioned level objectives. These are spread across the game's 20 story stages, each of which can grant you a total of 4 Gold Bricks.

Following are the four main objectives you'll have to complete to receive all four of any given stage's Gold Bricks:

-clear the stage in Story Mode

-achieve the 'True Villain' status

-find the stage's Picture Perfect set-up

-find all five of the stage's Minikits

Whereas previous LEGO games have had various features that Gold Bricks could be used to unlock or enrichen, it would seem that LEGO DC Super-Villains isn't quite that exciting in that regard.

Here, you can use Gold Bricks to vandalise public statues, and - far as we can tell - do little else with them. Granted, what self-respecting super-villain wouldn't want to vandalise a statue of Superman?

We hope this helps you in getting more Gold Bricks playing LEGO DC Super-Villains, though you're going to have to do things the old-fashioned way when it comes to finding the many overworld Gold Bricks hidden across the game. Good luck!

LEGO DC Super Villains Red Hood - How to Unlock Red Hood

LEGO DC Super Villains has a gigantic character roster packed full of iconic DC Comics heroes and villains - in fact there are around 165 of them to unlock, not counting custom characters! And out of these, LEGO DC Super Villains Red Hood could be the most surprisingly difficult to unlock.

We'll show you exactly how to get Red Hood in LEGO DC Super Villains, all the steps you'll need to do, where you'll need to go, and unlock Red Hood!

LEGO DC Super Villains Red Hood - How to Unlock Red Hood

Jason Tood, aka Red Hood - as best seen in the movie Batman: Under The Red Hood or Batman: Arkham Knight - can be unlocked at any point in the game, but he requires several steps before you can get him - and none of them are made clear. You have to unlock another character first, and even he needs a specific step to find - and doesn't appear on the map.

While Gold Bricks don't have much use in the game, you'll need to get one as a first step. Head to the map point above, in the Crime Alley part of Gotham City, just above Ace Chemicals on the map. Just in the rooftops you'll find a wall that can be graffiti-tagged and destroyed. Change to Joker or someone with explosive spraypaint and blow up the wall, and just beyond this you'll find a new villain.

This is The Shade. Complete his mission by finding and talking to nearby goons - they appear on the map, use a flying character like Starfire to make it easy. Once you've talked to them all, go back to Shade and answer his questions. This will unlock him, but also add a new boss fight to the map. Oh, you'll get attacked by ninjas, by the way.

The boss fight is on top of the Iceberg Lounge, which is directly south of your position. Fly up there with Starfire, Superman, or another flying character, and you'll meet the boss of Ace Chemicals island - Red Hood! Simply beat him in battle - he'll be similar to the Nightwing boss fight from the game's second story mission, which coincidentally took place inside the Iceberg Lounge. Defeat him, and you'll be able to buy Red Hood from the character list for just 10,000 studs. Congratulations, you've unlocked Red Hood for play!

Here's where to get Jessica Cruz Green Lantern, a flying/Lantern character who's also available in the open world. Or, if you just want to cheat characters, here's how to unlock them with codes.

lego dc super-villains

LEGO DC Super-Villains has, as is usually the case with these LEGO games, a whole lot of collectibles for you to track down and, well, collect. The chief of these are the Red Bricks, which have long been the bane (pun unintended) of those who play these games. In this guide, we help you track down all of them—then, we also share some cheats for you to be able to unlock some cool stuff in the game.

So let’s get started.

RED BRICKS LOCATIONS

  1. The Red Brick can be found on the Clock Tower, in the hands of a gold statue
  2. This one is just swimming about in a fish-tank. Said fish-tank will be on the second level of the building.
  3. Rapidly hit all five targets in the lab
  4. Go to the roof above the party, and destroy the statue there
  5. When battling Hugo Strange, you will see a Golden Grate. Destroy that to go down into a secret area, where you can find the Brick for this level
  6. Grow the plants that bounce light, and use them to light up the center dome
  7. Go through the waste barges to find this one, but be careful! They’re called “hazardous” for a reason…
  8. There’s a Red Brick on display. You gotta mirror jump to it. Good luck!
  9. Make a sea beast happy by singing a happy song
  10. Enter the three digit code into the safe to get the Brick here (use Detective Vision to know what the code is)
  11. Use mind control on the Party Parademon
  12. You see all those Amazonian Bells? You know what you have to do
  13. Find the GRAFFITI wall in the Hall of Justice, then tag it so it gets destroyed. Assemble the Treadmill, run on it as Flash to collect the 10 pieces in the Speed Force, and then assemble those to make a container that is holding a Red Brick. Whew.
  14. Fly down from the Wayne Manor Offices to find two portals. Activate both to find the cabinet holding the Brick
  15. Hidden at the top of Darksied’s throne

Bonus Levels:

  1. There’s a bat switch under the giant gear and chain. Activate it.
  2. When battling Stompa, er, grow a flower. Look, do you want that Brick or?
  3. Graffiti the wall near the starting area of the level
  4. It’s in Kanto’s Trophy Room. Good luck!
  5. In the Granny section

CHEAT CODES

These codes unlock characters that you may ordinarily unlock simply by playing the game. So, the best way to get them is by actually earning them in the game. If you don’t want to wait to do that, you can use these codes, but do keep in mind that even using these codes doesn’t complete the requisite missions or objectives these characters were locked behind—you’re still going to have to do that.
