Here’s how to find, unlock & buy hidden vehicles in this guide for Lego Marvel Superheroes 2.
42 (15 Air & 44 Land) vehicles have been confirmed so far. To unlock all Lego Marvel Superheroes 2 playable Vehicles, you basically have to finish the Story Mode levels and explore Chronopolis’s open world hub. This goes especially fast if you have access to flying vehicles and/or superheroes in between playing levels, races or challenges.
Hint: Vehicles have different speeds and abilities. If you’re stuck on a race or challenge, try using another vehicle.
How To Buy Unlocked Vehicles For Play: You can buy the vehicles you’ve unlocked (with our tips from this page) — by pressing the Y button on Xbox One or Triangle button on PS4 or X button on Switch — which shows you the characters & vehicles grid, to bring up the vehicle grid — by pressing the X button on Xbox One or Square button on PS4 or Y button on Switch — and selecting them to buy them. After that you can finally play with them from that same vehicle grid screen.
Tip: It is important to note that this vehicle buying/selecting menu cannot be accessed while you’re in Story levels/missions, it’s only accessible when you’re in the Chronopolis open world hub.
You will earn yourself several achievements or trophies for finding vehicles in the open world area of Lego Marvel Superheroes 2.
Note: Vehicles are also part of the game’s collectibles that will count towards unlocking the 100% LEGO Stud Fountain in your Trophy Room in the Avengers Mansion.

This time, the player, supported by a wide range of characters, faces evil villains from the expansive Marvel universe. The guide below offers a complete walkthrough to all activities in the game, divided into numerous smaller chapters that are easier to navigate.
The initial chapters of the walkthrough offer basic tips for players for whom LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is the first LEGO title. You'll find detailed explanations of basic mechanics such as pink and golden bricks, ways of travelling and exploring the levels, and means of unlocking additional characters. So I just finished mission 6 and looks like the map is now open. It looks. bizarre.
It is several tiny areas and overall the map is not as engaging or as big as Manhattan it seems.
LMSH and LMA had huge Manhattan map with several other smaller areas which were nice and fun.
This looks like a mish mash of several really tiny maps into one large hub.
Not happy with the map size tbh. It is too jarring and bizarre

Really? It seems small tbh and so uninviting. The Manhattan of prior games were really good. Bright, colorful and cool stuff to do.
Also, there's no day/night cycle still which I'm not happy with.

Nah, it's much much larger, you're literally getting twice the air-space, over three times the land space and two times the depth of the biggest Lego open world game before it.
There are 18 locations, and mayve they are small (some are big) but the thing to remember here is that they didn't leave the map without anything in any spot, all of the map is packed with content. So Lego Marvel Super Heroes 1 and Avengers had alot of blank space (water, unused area) that tricked people into thinking it's big, the open world here is actually big.
If you're wondering why they are 18 smaller locations in one, it's because Kang overbarred the Nexus to defy space and time of reality.
If you're wondering why it's snowing in (present) Manhatten, it's because it's next to the KunLan mountains. Asgard is next to Egypt, so hot is next to hot and cold is next to cold. Everything was strategically placed by the devs so not only is it the biggest map ever in a Lego game but it also is the smartest map.

Oh, and remember, there's an area underwater just off of Manhattan and one floating in the middle of the sky that you have to change map levels to see (it's left stick click for my controller)
How to find missing Minikits?: In-game the Minikits will appear simply as a “Lego Mini Kit”, which looks like a black/grey/blue scubadiving air bottle with bright red and green lights on the right side of it. It can be confirmed as being Minikits simply by walking into to it, as the on-screen counter will then tell you that you’ve collected another Minikit.
As a bonus for finding all 10 Minikit locations in each of the 20 levels — making for 200 to collect in all — you will unlock a unique comic book for each level. Which you can read in Gwenpool’s room*.
*To find Gwenpool’s room in Avengers Mansion, from the entrance follow the Foyer from the main room up the white stairs. There you’ll find a door on the left side, go through the door to enter Gwenpool’s room.
Collecting Tip: You can select Free Play to replay Story Missions, which allows you to use all characters you have unlocked. So after beating the game, first try to have as many characters unlocked (with all the abilities needed) before you go for many of these Minikits. — The start of each video shows the characters needed to find all 10 Minikits in said level.
Note About Progress: You can track your Minikits collecting progress as you find each one, as the current count will then (for a few seconds) be indicated on the bottom-left of your screen. — After you’ve completed each level the game will tell you, on a results-screen, how many Minikits you’ve picked up in total.
Trophy / Achievement: Finding all 200 Minikits locations and picking them up will help unlock the following Achievement / Trophy:
* “Comic Book Collector” (Silver Trophy / Gamerscore) — Unlock and view all Minikit comics.
