У Lego Racers 2 есть история. Игра продолжает события первой части. После поражения в оригинале, Rocket Racer переехал на планету Ксалакс. Там он организует новый турнир. В соревнованиях принимают участие гонщики из других миров и планет. В этих аркадных гонках есть контент для поклонников однопользовательского заезда. Также есть возможность играть вдвоем на одном компьютере. Есть несколько видов развлечений: "Приключение", "Аркадный режим", а также гонки на время с призраком или в одиночку.
Проект "Lego Races 2" имеет открытый мир. Существует 5 основных мест расположения: Песчаная бухта, остров Дино, Арктика, Марс и Ксалакс. На каждой из них вы можете свободно ездить и общаться с местными жителями. Вам также нужно найти и собрать золотые камни, чтобы получить доступ к следующей зоне. Есть также мини-игры, спрятанные на земле. В награду вы получите одну из нескольких модернизаций на выбор.
Конструктор водителей и транспортных средств из оригинальной игры был перенесен в продолжение. Стало больше запчастей для автомобилей, но выбор запчастей для мужчин уменьшился. Теперь в гонках могут принимать участие до 12 гонщиков, включая пользователя. Сами гонки немного изменились. Отныне вам придется не только бороться за первое место, но и проезжать контрольные точки в правильном порядке. На дорогах появились ремонтные станции. Вы должны пройти через них, чтобы отремонтировать машину. Если вы этого не сделаете, разбитый автомобиль замедлится. Как и раньше, вы должны собирать бонусы. Are you wondering about the map in the poster? It's a snippet of the Island from Island Xtreme Stunts that I even added a minor collision box to so I can walk out it. The shot is taken just outside the studio. I figured this place would be most fitting because what you will do with these models, in one way or another, is make a scene.
You DEMAND a map of the full island from Island Xtreme Stunts? I'm sorry no, but to make this full map on my own with fully working proper collisions would take several months, and hours of time poured into it due to valve wanting to use their own fancy file format, and this task I'm not willing to do without profit. This pack was bad enough, I've barely played any games for the last two months!
You: But what about the whole island collisionless?
Me: Sorry no. The island plus all models on it uses at least 200-250 textures combined, and a model can only contain 30. So I'd still have to do a bunch of work. It took me several hours just to do that snippet there.

i remember sitting with my sister at our family pc back in 2004 at the age of 3, playing the heck out of this game for HOURS. We'd do so much different stuff and just generally have a great time. Parents had to actually pick us up off of the chair we both sat on to send an email haha

I managed to run the game, even played with it but after restarting my computer it just says "Insert lego racers 2 cd then press enter to continue" but enter doesnt work. (the bin is mounted)

If you followed "My Nickname's" instructions and it didn't work at first, try "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" instead of Service pack 2. This is how i got it wo work for me.

So if you guys want to open the game, then there is a way. If the game has an virus, I recommend you to scan your computer/laptop first. Then, if done, open the setup wizard and you can start play the game.

Ok, so here's how i got it to work on win10 x64.
- First download, then unzip.
- Notice that the iso is not an iso and it's really a ".bin" and a ".cue".
- Notice that when trying to mount, nothing in the iso folder shows up.
- In the mounting window's bottom right corner, change "CloneCD/DVD Images" to "Other Images". Now the ".bin" will show up. Select that and it mounts it. (I use Virtual Clone Drive, so idk how Daemon Tools calls these or where can you change it there.)
- (Now when you run the setup exe in the DVD, it will say that there's not enough memory.)
- Left click on the installer, select properties, switch to compatibility tab, and select "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" and also tick in "run as administrator". Click apply and ok.
- Now the setup will run smoothly.
- I didn't install the directx that it wanted, so idk if that bugs out for you. It says higher is better and i'm sure i've got a better one than what was cutting edge when the game came out. (I also didn't want to mess up my directx.)
- Do the same compatibility settings to the Lego Racers 2 exe after installation is complete as you did for the installer.
Also, i didn't use any of the other files, like the no cd thing or the alternative installer.

I've been trying to install it and just keep getting a "Not enough memory" error. About 600GB free, so I'm not sure what's going on with it.

Update: I got it working! I installed the game using the actual disk, moved the newly created folder to My Documents, replaced the application with the no cd one, and then moved the folder back to its previous location. I don't know if using the disk fixed it, or if it was just moving the folder that did the trick, but if it's the former then I don't know what to say for people who don't have a disk

I was able to get the NOCD thing to work (you have to replace the application that's in the folder that's created AFTER installing the game), but now the game starts up with no music, no cutscenes, and it freezes whenever I try to enter a race or even close the game

just mount with daemon tools, after install copy the file in the crack to ur game folder
put the win64 installer in the folder where the iso is and just launch it, instant installation and no problems
i have downloaded it but it doesn't work
Last time I played this little gem, it was on a Windows XP.
I had a hard time collecting all of the crowns to progress through the story-mode stages, so I designed some vehicles myself and did the side-quests (well hidden, even when situated on high ground 0-0.)
NOCD download is broken, it does not work.
I have the same problem as Teeeemo and Not Working :(
Same problem as TEEEEMO. Downloaded No CD version, and whenever I try to launch the .exe file, it flashes black and then nothing.
I don't have CD but downloaded non CD installer. Extracted it and have .exe sitting there but when i open it (as admin) i get black screen and it just like crashes, using windows 10

How do I run the game on Windows 10? The ISO folder just has a bin and cue file.

Первая игра из серии LEGO Racers. Машину и водителя можно построить самостоятельно. На трассах раскиданы бонусы и секреты. Текст полностью на русском, а озвучки как таковой и нет. Эта локализация примечательна тем, что является финальным аккордом компании "Logrus International", которая, сменив название на "Логрус.ру", примкнула к другому издателю - "1С".
0. Нужны Alcohol или Daemon Tools. UltraISO, например, не подойдет.
1. Монтируем образ.
2. Запускаем Setup.exe. Если выдает ошибку 111 - сработала защита, нужен другой эмулятор привода.
3. Выбираем русский язык при установке, тогда в игре сразу будет русский. В настройках игры можно в любой момент переключить.
4. В конце установки соглашаемся на Direct Media
5. Запускаем игру. Если в главном меню большинство пунктов заблокированы - сработала защита, нужен другой эмулятор привода.
* Проверено на Windows 10 x64 1607. Никаких настроек совместимости не понадобилось. Работает на 16:9 (растягивается) и со включенным масштабированием (игнорирует его, как и надо).
* Похоже, что в интернете не существовало русской версии Lego Racers. Только демка.
* "Пересадить" перевод на оригинальную английскую версию не удалось.
* На сайте Нового Диска все еще жив раздел Lego Racers, там можно скачать обои и PDF-версию буклета, который идет в коробке с игрой.
* На AG есть патч для русской версии, но ссылка на файл мертва.
* Мне не удалось определить тип защиты, пробовал разными инструментами. Суть защиты такая: установщик и сама игра читают некоторые области диска и ожидают получить ошибки чтения.
* Снимал образ BlindWrite как наиболее "тяжелым" инструментом (13 часов!), потом сконвертировал в более популярный формат.
* Добавил в раздачу PDF-буклет, сканы обложки и CD в подходящем для печати качестве, обои.
