Lego spiderman no way home

Обновлено: 05.05.2024

Since Phase Two of the MCU, Marvel films have displayed an undying love of Star Wars. Now, Spider-Man: No Way Home continues the trend in subtle ways.

WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Spider-Man: No Way Home, now playing in theaters.

When the Marvel Cinematic Universe first started, its primary focus was to establish an exciting new franchise to moviegoers, complete with characters sure to be loved by millions. After Phase One solidified the MCU's place in film, Phase Two had more fun with its content and even got more referential with its sister franchises like Star Wars. For most of Phase Two and three, there were many references to the series in subtle ways. But it wasn't until Spider-Man: No Way Home that the nods were brought back in small but impactful ways.

No Way Home follows Peter Parker's choice to erase his identity from the universe after Mysterio outs his alter ego to the public. But in doing so, a collection of villains from the multiverse come calling and risk destroying everything the MCU's Peter has established. Sadly, this forces him to uproot his life and live in hiding until the attention surrounding him dies down, leading to one of the first Star Wars references.

As Peter waits for answers from the many colleges he applied to, he works on a LEGO Death Star. However, rather than the one from A New Hope, this one looks like the one from Return of the Jedi. The scene is a clever callback to when he and Ned were working on the original Death Star in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Except now, Peter is on his own, working on a LEGO set meant for him and his friend with the Return of the Jedi's incomplete Death Star, representing how fractured his life has become.

In the past, the MCU's Star Wars nods were shown by characters losing an arm, similar to how Luke did in The Empire Strikes Back. However, Spider-Man: Homecoming has Ned teasing the massive Death Star he got with a LEGO Palpatine Minifigure. This Minifigure isn't shown again after Homecoming, but it appears at the end of No Way Home on Peter's desk in his apartment. The brief callback also serves as an emotional nod to Peter's larger sacrifice at the end of the film.

To save everything, Peter tells Strange to make everyone forget Peter is Spider-Man, including his loved ones, meaning Ned and MJ will not even remember he exists. Although they may not remember, Peter still does, and he keeps the Palpatine Minifigure as a way to remind himself to never stop fighting for those he cares about. As for the Death Star, it's destroyed by the villains, symbolizing Peter's evolution from adolescence to adulthood.

Marvel and Star Wars may be two of entertainment's biggest properties. As a result, seeing one reference the other is always a delight. But Spider-Man: No Way Home manages to take the love of Star Wars shared by the world and add an even greater emotional tie with Peter's own personal losses. So now, every time he and the audience see the LEGO Palpatine Minifigure, it'll be a fond memory and reminder to keep fighting.

To see the subtle Star Wars references, Spider-Man: No Way Home is in theaters now.

The third installment of Peter Parker’s MCU adventures is less than six months away now. Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on December 17, 2021. And we still know very little about the movie in any official capacity. But once again, a new LEGO set is giving us additional details on the movie before a trailer has even hit. For those avoiding all spoilers for this movie, the set features some mild ones (though it’s officially sanctioned by Marvel). So beware of spoilers. And potentially spoiler-ific rumors.

The new Spider-Man: No Way Home set “Spider-Man at the Sanctum” pretty much spells out that Spidey will spend some time at Stephen Strange’s New York home. Probably not a huge plot giveaway, seeing as it’s been widely known that Strange is in the movie. But it looks to be a significant location in the film. Although sometimes, LEGO sets are not entirely accurate this way.

The set includes four popular minifigures: Spider-Man, MJ, Wong, and Doctor Strange wearing the Cloak of Levitation. It also features a buildable, giant green bug monster with gripping claws. The new set comes with a free LEGO Building Instructions app, which includes digital Instructions PLUS. Doctor Strange’s magical cellar measures over 3 in. (9 cm) high, 8 in. (22 cm) wide and 8 in. (22 cm) deep.

So, what is this new LEGO set giving away? For starters, we now know that Wong (Benedict Wong) is in the film. This is welcome news. Not surprising, since where Doctor Strange goes, Wong usually isn’t far behind. And there’s a giant green bug monster of some sort. That looks kind of mechanical. Hmm… which Spidey villain has mechanical green monster contraptions? A certain Goblin springs to mind. Actually, so does Scorpion. And Vulture too. Ok, so there are a few.

I guess the big reveal is that Spidey has a new costume once again. Looks like his Far From Home suit, now with gold highlights. Given the myriad rumors surrounding the Multiversal hijinks of No Way Home, this LEGO set is pretty light on huge secrets—as in no Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield minifigures. Yet. Or even Dock Ock or Electro. We bet those are coming though. The U.K. version of the official LEGO site has the new set up for pre-order. Shipping begins in October 2021.

LEGO has revealed three new sets for the upcoming LEGO Marvel Spider-Man: No Way Home movie. All three sets will be available starting on October 1 and one of them may give some insight/spoilers on what we can be expecting to see in the movie, mainly the new suit that Spider-Man will be wearing. Note that two of them are inspired by the first two Spider-Man MCU films.

Spider-Man Doctor Strange LEGO

Spider-Man: No Way Home is shrouded in mystery and intrigue. Rumors and leaks surrounding Peter Parker's third solo outing have been plentiful, but deciphering what information is correct remains a difficult task.

Many villains from Spider-Man's previous on-screen portrayals are rumored to hop over to the MCU, including Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin and Alfred Molina's Doc-Ock. Past wall-crawlers are said to be joining Tom Holland on his multiverse-hopping adventure as well, despite The Amazing Spider-Man's Andrew Garfield denying his involvement with the film.

Though these previous characters' returns are still up in the air, recent events on Disney+'s Loki have increased their likelihood significantly.

Now, a new LEGO set has teased definitive aspects of the film’s plot and revealed an all-new outfit for everyone’s favorite web-slinger…

SPIDER-MAN ENTERS THE SANCTUM IN NO WAY HOME

The official LEGO website listed a new set based on Spider-Man: No Way Home, named "76185 Spider-Man at the Sanctum Workshop."

The quartet seems to be up against a big green monster, whose origins may or may not be multiversal. The battle is taking place in a workshop in the Sanctum Sanctorum, where many artifacts and oddities are scattered around the place.

A SORCERER SUPREME AND SPIDEY TEAM-UP

This seems to confirm that the location seen in a previously released promo picture was in fact Doctor Strange's Sanctum, and that the core trio of Peter, Ned, and MJ will seek refuge at the Sorcerer Supreme's abode. The presence of an emerald entity attacking the set's heroes is interesting, as it is unknown whether this creature originates from the multiverse or not.

While trying to escape the public's view following the unveiling of his secret identity, it is possible that Peter and his friends may have simply interrupted the Sorcerer Supreme when arriving at his doorstep. The wall-crawler may therefore have to help Doctor Strange deal with his problem before he can help Peter with his. Alternatively, this could be a consequence of the multiverse forming, with weird and wacky lifeforms breaking through to the MCU's main timeline from other universes or being created by the multiverse itself.

Peter Parker's new suit is another major reveal, seeming to be a hybrid of Avengers: Infinity War's Iron Spider suit and Far From Home's red and black 'Bosco' suit. This may indicate that Spider-Man's get-up is simply a modded version of the costume from his previous adventure, with the gold armor plating and gauntlets just providing a bit of extra protection.

Spider-Man isn't the only character with a new fit, as Doctor Strange and Wong are adorned with new accessories. Wong has a new coat to go over his original costume, which certainly makes a statement with its vibrant colors. The Sorcerer Supreme also notably has his Eye of Agamotto again, which was notably absent from Avengers: Endgame. As Stephen Strange no longer has to conceal the Time Stone in his necklace, it will be interesting to see why he has chosen to put on this piece of jewelry once again.

Spider-Man: No Way Home swings into theaters, and the Sanctum Sanctorum, on December 17, 2021.

Spider-Man at the Sanctum Workshop Reviews

“Doctor Strange in particular is a surprise inclusion and we’re also getting a new cape element which is just perfect as his cape is pretty much a character on its own, but I also love the new mold and really elevates his appearance.”
