На дворе 2018 год, но TT Games как будто не замечает этого: и геймплей, и графика в её играх развиваются очень медленно и с каждым разом всё сильнее отстают от современных стандартов. Головоломки, мини-игры, QTE и боевая система – все эти составляющие давно пора обновить, переосмыслить и доработать. Про визуальный ряд и говорить нечего: несколько дорогих и успешных LEGO-мультфильмов показали нам, что созданный из конструктора мир необязательно должен выглядеть устаревшим. Более высокая детализация, проработка теней, динамическое освещение, отражения – всё это сделало бы новые игры TT Games гораздо более привлекательными, интересными не только детской аудитории и фанатам конкретного сеттинга. Но в случае с LEGO The Incredibles и на поклонниках выехать сложно: «Суперсемейка» не слишком годится на материал для LEGO-игры, а эксперименты с порядком глав ещё больше усугубили проблему.
Как можно понять из названия, дилогия «Суперсемейка» вертится вокруг всего нескольких персонажей, и ещё больше усложнило задачу для TT Games, которая традиционно делает ставку на реиграбельность, возможность пройти каждый уровень за разных героев и злодеев, чтобы собрать все-все секреты. В итоге в LEGO The Incredibles нам предлагают открывать персонажей из других мультфильмов Pixar, а также альтернативные костюмы для уже знакомых героев – первое выглядит неуместным, а второе попросту не несёт смысла, так как наряды не дают новых умений. Дефицит ярких личностей столь серьёзен, что даже при первом прохождении в кооперативном режиме нередко возникает вопрос «А это что ещё за хрен с горы?» – тогда, например, когда на протяжении целой главы приходится управлять персонажем, которого в мультфильме показывали всего полторы минуты и исключительно в виде трупа. Не идут на пользу игре и ошибки дизайнеров: уровни спроектированы таким образом, что в кооперативном режиме регулярно приходится ждать, пока напарник с каким-нибудь редким умением откроет путь дальше. Сотрудничество и уникальные способности персонажей – основа всех LEGO-игр, но прежде разработчики не позволяли геймерам скучать ни секунды. Просто натравить на героев кучу противников – и то было бы лучше, чем вынуждать моего Мистера Исключительного тупо стоять!
К слову, жене игра понравилась больше, чем мне, так что не стоит считать этот обзор единственной истиной
Сюжет второй «Суперсемейки» банален, не отвечает былым стандартам Pixar, и сценаристы LEGO The Incredibles тоже не сумели его сколь-либо улучшить. Шести первым главам игры явно не хватает сюрпризов и ярких шуток. Тот факт, что персонажи не развиваются и не получают новых умений вредит ещё и геймплею – в итоге, лично я ощущал себя жутким занудой, который не может получить удовольствие от игры. Спасением стали что вылазки в открытый мир – город, наполненный как честными жителями, так и преступными кланами. Возможность самостоятельно сбалансировать поездки на различных авто, поиск секретов, сражения с бандами и эксперименты со множеством персонажей оказывается очень кстати, когда сюжетные главы не в силах поддерживать в геймере интерес.
Возможно всё дело в моей любви к первой «Суперсемейке», но когда дело доходит до посвящённых ей глав, LEGO The Incredibles становится интересной и разнообразной: большие локации, крушение самолёта, мини-игра в стиле культовой Bomberman – всё это отличные эпизоды, демонстрирующие потенциал TT Games. Да и юмор во второй половине игры тоже значительно лучше, а это важно для любой LEGO-игры. Но перестановки глав и тут дают о себе знать: персонажи удивляются тем умениям, которые геймер использовал уже сотню раз – вроде бы мелочь, но уж очень абсурдно. Тем не менее качество LEGO The Incredibles стабильно растёт на протяжении всей второй половины. Как итог, впечатления от игры остаются на удивление положительными, и в неё даже хочется вернуться за «платиной», благо она там несложная.
Если говорить об игровых адаптациях по фильмам, то сейчас сложно встретить действительно плохие примеры от такого двойного подхода к одной идее. Таких «шедевров», как Shrek the Third, мы с вами вряд ли уже застанем. Зато можем попробовать LEGO The Incredibles — еще один конструкторский Lego-захват свежей вселенной про еще одних супергероев. Не успели остыть впечатления от Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2, а TT Games выбрасывает другую игру, суть и структура которой идентична, а вот чувствуется она немного иначе.
Да, да, да, нам подвезли еще одну пачку супергероев. Этих спасителей мира наплодилось столько, что становится понятно, почему Танос смог завоевать столь огромную любовь у зрителя. Лично мой предел сломался, когда я узнал о существовании такого персонажа, как Свин-паук, он же Питер Хрякер. Хотя с другой стороны, Суперсемейка отлично вписывается как геройская франшиза для юной части игрового сообщества. Так сказать, подготовка подрастающего поколения перед более сложной программой Marvel и высшей наукой DC Comics.
Действительно, LEGO The Incredibles сама по себе очень лайтовая во всех своих аспектах. Здесь полностью отсутствует испытательный элемент, и геймплей идет очень плавно и быстро. Плохо это или хорошо, точно определить не получится, ведь всегда найдется кто-то, кто захочет добавить еще больше перца в уже готовое блюдо. Злодей в LEGO The Incredibles не так прост, как может показаться в начале. Да и в самой семейке есть небольшой конфликт. Не часто хочется играть/смотреть дальше, чтобы узнать концовку. Это, кстати, довольно интересный аспект игры, поскольку открывать вы будете не только персонажей из Суперсемейки, но и из других фильмов Pixar. Например, мне довольно быстро посчастливилось найти рыбку Дори из «В поисках Немо», и мы сразу отправились исследовать морское дно. Это же по-настоящему круто искать и открывать коллекционируемые предметы, которые не просто будут валяться мертвым грузом в инвентаре ради получения какой-нибудь ачивки, а за которые можно побегать, полетать и набить морду преступным гадам.
Причем если брать главных персонажей игры, состав нашей Суперсемейки, то персонажи могут взаимодействовать между собой, что поможет преодолевать множество препятствий, особенно если вы устроите охоту, например, за редкими лего-блоками. В этой части, между прочим, за счет этих блоков можно возводить особые постройки. Оформлено это мини-игрой, когда вам нужно заполнить все буквы i (от «i»ncredibles) над всеми персонажами, и сделать это нужно быстро, так как ваш прогресс постепенно сам откатывается к началу.
Графика стала немного приятнее после предыдущей части про Мстителей. Если тогда были некоторые шероховатости, то сейчас вопросов нет никаких. Хотя можно придраться к игровой камере. Игрок довольно часто попадает в узкие помещения, в которых легко потерять героя за каким-нибудь углом. Иногда камера поднимается над персонажем, и мы видим все сверху, но это редкость. Story
The game closely follows the plot of both The Incredibles movies, but with some modifications so that it would be more child-friendly, have some extra content and adapt to the two-player gameplay specific to the LEGO formula. The game begins with the story of the second movie and then proceeds to the first one. The game starts with Incredibles 2 where the Incredibles family and Frozone try to stop the Underminer. Violet loses her mask and Tony finds out her identity. The family stops the Underminer from destroying city hall, but are soon apprehended by police due to a "no supers" policy. The family meets Winston Deavor and his sister Evelyn who want to bring supers back and say their best pick is Elastigirl.
History
LEGO The Incredibles was announced on March 28, 2018, by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Traveller's Tales. The game features all of the characters from both The Incredibles and Incredibles 2 with the usual brand of LEGO fun and humor, alongside an array of story levels and a hub world that includes locations like Municiberg and Nomanisan Island. In addition to characters from both films, the game also features exclusive new characters and even a special character from every other Pixar franchise. It follows the previous LEGO video games, such as Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Jurassic World.

Considering that The Incredibles 2 just hit theaters, WB Games thought it would be a novel time to celebrate the Parr family in another realm. And it's none other than Lego.
Yep, Travelers Tales is at it again with its latest brick-by-brick adventure, Lego The Incredibles, which covers events from both the original 2004 film and its sequel, as you take control of Mr. Incredible and company while they clean house on villains, including the dastardly Underminer and more.
Before we get started, there are some critics out there that believe the Lego games are starting to run their course. TT did redesign the wheel years back with Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, introducing a larger scope of play and a few new ideas that other games have since kept. And others like Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens have introduced multi-builds, where you can create different items depending on the scenario.
Not Quite the Perfect Hero
So do we see that many changes in Lego The Incredibles? Not really. TT Games follows the routine design here, though that's not entirely a bad thing. It knows what works with Lego games and shifts the Incredibles world around the formula pretty tightly, giving players a lot to do between main missions, co-op play and hidden items that will keep you digging as you unlock secret characters.
A lot of the objectives will be familiar to Lego fans. Collecting bits, for instance, will grant you a gold brick and let you unlock cooler stuff down the line. You can also beat up bad guys to pieces (relax, they just disappear after they're defeated, no muss no fuss) and team up to do come cool Incredible style attacks, giving the game a slight bit of ingenuity.
The gameplay is mostly responsive, though there are moments when you can tell that TT Games could've put in a little more fine tuning. For example, when you try to fly a helicopter and fight more with the controls than you would the objective at hand. There's also moments when your weapons (like Frozone's ice beam) aren't quite as useful as they could be.
Still Saving the Day
At least the combat's got its heart in the right place, with some modification of the beat-em-up tactics that were introduced in The Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game (say that three times fast) and those team-up moves that make it easy to bowl over foes. I just wish there were some breaks in the set-up, with a cutscene, action scene, cutscene, action scene, etc. TT Games should really try to blend these more so that they're in real time, instead of being like an interactive film. Perhaps with Lego DC Super Villains?
The general design of the game is still great, especially when it comes to entertaining fans of the films along with kids. The game's level design is true to the films, even though the second half does lose a little steam with the way the story goes; and the open world hubs, based on Municiberg and New Urbem, are pretty cool, giving you a lot to mess around with in-between clashes with the bad guys.
And if you don't feel like playing with The Incredibles, there are an abundance of special characters to unlock around its universe, along with the ability to create your own superhero. It's not highly detailed, but it is neat to be able to incorporate them into Brad Bird's world, even if he never really intended it. (I'm sure he'd welcome 'em anyway, right, Brad?)
Surprises and a Good Presentation
Plus, there are surprises. And some of you that are addicted to the Disney universe will like these the most, though I won't spoil them here. But they give the game far more leverage than you may realize, making up for its flaws and generally average formula. And, of course, the comical moments help too, in pure Lego fashion.
Lego The Incredibles' graphics are charming and do a great job replicating the look and flair of the movies. Sure, some of the characters look goofy in Lego form, but that's the way it works sometimes. There are times that some camera issues can arise (something else TT Games may want to look into), but overall this is a good looking game if Lego is your thing.
There are times the voice acting is on the mark too. It doesn't sound like WB Games utilized the original actors that much, but it is nice to hear some dialogue from the films. And the music is enjoyable, keeping up with Michael Giacchino's original score.
As Good As Fantastic Foursomes Get
I can see where some people would be worn out on Lego games, thinking that fatigue is setting in and TT Games is just following the same formula with each new theme. (Plus, the fact we're getting another game, Super Villains, in under five months may drive this point home even further for them.) But for fans of The Incredibles, this is pretty much the only game you've got going for you. And fortunately, it's handled nicely in Lego form.
Though it has some off moments with pacing, camera and slight gameplay issues, Lego The Incredibles still has enough to make it worth a recommendation. Plus those bonuses are going to be quite cool for you diehard fans.
So, no, it doesn't reinvent the wheel like previous games did. But Lego The Incredibles does keep it spinning, and that's "totally wicked" enough for me.
