TT Games delivers once again within the LEGO Star Wars franchise. The game is fun, accessible and offers many hours of gameplay. The new elements are great and a solid addition to the game. This is simply a must have.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a game that doesn't break with the formula established in the previous LEGO titles, but adds some notable developments. Great entertainment for young and old.

The core LEGO experience remains, but it's improved with some new playable features. Star Wars fans, no matter what their age, will definitely enjoy this new adventure.

Always fun to watch, sometimes tedious to play alone. Star Wars and LEGO solidify their meaningful relationship once again. The developers just need to address a terrible save-game system, and need to clean up some of the bugs forcing reloads. But the LEGO video game formula is still the LEGO video game formula. Just be prepared to still be left wondering "What do I do now?" from time to time.

I really liked how each character feels important, for example, most maps have to use more than two characters to get to certain points. This allows you to not get complacent and take advantage of all characters abilities. My opinion where this game separates from the other games is the Flight levels. Flying the millennium falcon or the Tie-fighters is a blast and a nice change of pace from the normal ground and pound fighting. After the campaign there is so much more to accomplish. Collecting all the golden bricks takes time but gives you something to do after completing the main story. Overall i give this game a 8/10 but could easily given it 9. After hours of hair-splitting and nitpicking, the bottom line is that Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens just may be the best time I’ve had with a Lego title in years. Everything here is big, broad and loaded with replay value, and — unlike stormtrooper fire — will provide fans with a perfectly aimed blast of entertainment.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens probably would have sold well enough on the license alone, but TT Games wasn't content to coast on this one. The company put its best foot forward, and players are the ones to benefit.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a much needed boost for the series. After Dimensions launched I thought all the standalone games would more or less be phoned in, but that is definitely not the case here. To me it's always seemed that the best of the LEGO games had Star Wars in the title. That doesn't change with The Force Awakens. Not only is it a fantastic retelling of the movie, but also features plenty of original side-stories and content to make it an incredibly packed experience. There's also enough new additions to the standard LEGO formula to make for a fresh feeling game.

Obviously though it's still very much what you would expect from a LEGO game. You'll build, collect, and replay levels to see everything. All the while you're being treated to some good humor and fantastic level design.

Most of the game's funniest moments come from the original stories. I was reminded just how serious the plot of the movie actually was. It's hard for the game to be funny when following the movie's plot so closely. As a result most of the game's attempts at making the material more lighthearted and funny is just having them hold food and stuff. There's really nothing funny in that. Still, it manages to squeeze some extra laughs from the movie and really brings the humor in it's side-content. Having the cast from the movie to reprise their roles is icing on the cake.

The game is packed with content. The amount of activities spread across it's various hub-worlds and the ability to replay the levels with different characters will keep you coming back long after you played through the story the first time. Using different character's abilities to find new secrets is just as addicting as ever.

As far changes to formula goes, it's admittedly there isn't much. However things like being able to have options to build multiple things with one pile of bricks, free-range space combat, and third-person cover shooting sections spice up the formula enough to make it feel fresh again. Or at least fresh enough to keep things fun.

All in all it's a content rich, excellently crafted, and wildly enjoyable game. One perfect for gamers of any age, as well as Star Wars and LEGO fans. The always appreciated drop-in, drop-out co-op means that you can share the fun with a friend. It's been a while since the LEGO series has made a Star Wars game. The Force Awakens reminded me of just what I have been missing. Hopefully we won't have to wait as long for these two series to pair up again, because The Force Awakens proves once again these two go together like Han and Chewie.

Fans of both the Star Wars movies and the Lego series of games will not be disappointed and those looking for a fun, easy to play title, should definitely consider this game.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Has some issues and takes some shortcuts but I had tremendous fun playing the game (ever more than watching the actual movie). The game is really funny, demanding for younger gamers and offers tons of cool stuff to unlock. It's no revolution but the overall feeling is great.

It's a great game based on Episode 7 and captures the spirit of the movie, but doesn't offer anything more than what's typical for the series.

This is exactly what you were looking for. Easy and accessible gameplay to share with your younger brother/son/cousin, smart humorous cut-scenes and a plethora of lovely details to tickle the fanboy in you.

But still, it’s a Lego game, and it is Star Wars. Mindless, cute, without any meaningful gameplay, crassly but effectively premised on the need to collect, that modern drive that makes merchandising a crucial part of a franchise. The first good Lego game since Lego City Undercover in 2013. This game really has the spirit of Star Wars and the charm of Lego, which is something that's been missing from recent installments like Batman 3, Avengers, and Hobbit which were probably the worst in the entire franchise.

Though the latest Lego Star Wars game isn't the long-overdue Clone Wars sequel or packaged with a remade Complete Saga, it is perhaps one of the longest Lego games to date, with at least 50 hours of gameplay if you're aiming for 100%. The first four levels or so of the game are overly long and a bit boring but the rest of the game is a return to the kind of Lego fun that's been missing for three years.

There are a ton of side missions in the game, including story missions that weren't featured in the film (such as Poe Dameron rescuing Admiral Ackbar and two levels starring a playable Kylo Ren). The world is as open as it could possibly be in a Star Wars game, as jumping from planet to planet would be a bit challenging to implement, and while it isn't the open sandbox that Lego City and Batman 2 offered, it's still really fun to explore.

Surprisingly, Traveller's Tales has introduced some interesting new game mechanics into this one. The cover sections of the levels are really fun and bring to mind Uncharted, but maybe that's just me. The ginormous character roster is another great section of the game, as well as the flying sections (though admittedly not as innovative as Lego Star Wars III's).

So overall, this latest Lego game is a great return to form for the slightly tired franchise and really gives me hope for future entries and the probably inevitable Lego Star Wars Rebels, Lego Indiana Jones 3, and Lego Pirates 2 (what with the fifth entries in the two latter series coming up). I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who loved Lego City Undercover and the earlier games but has been disappointed by the recent ones. … Expand

Хотя бы за несильное желание глобально изменять или улучшать главную формулу всех LEGO-игр. Но это трудно назвать большим минусом во франшизе, где все и так хорошо работает. Ведь основная ценность серии заключается не в геймплейных инновациях, а в веселой и хорошо работающей повествовательной манере. В моментах, которые способны снова разбудить в тебе ребенка, смеющегося с того, как кто-то врезался в столп. И Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, как мне показалось, выдвинула эту идею на новый уровень.

Нет никакого смысла отрицать очевидное — серия игр по LEGO давно нуждается в полноценном обновлении и перезагрузке. «Пробуждение Силы» — идеальный вариант для жанра «игра по фильму». Она не пытается скопировать серьезность оригинала, но в тоже время ни на шаг не отходит от основного сюжета. Это, скорее, адаптация для тех фанатов, кто хочет почувствовать героем любимой вселенной, в том числе пробежавшись по новым локациям еще моложавыми Люком Скайуокером и Ханом Солом. Поклонники «Звездных Войн» и LEGO будут в восторге.

Если вас не раздражает LEGO-стилистика, то The Force Awakens — отличная игра по мотивам «Звездных войн». Простая в освоении, с увлекательными перестрелками и веселым сюжетом, который удачно пародирует многие моменты оригинального фильма. Как всегда, в игре просто миллиард дополнительных материалов для фанатов. Игры Лего сами по себе никогда не являлись развлечением на один раз. Здесь невероятное количество моделек, которые ждут, чтобы вы их открыли. Седьмой эпизод саги Star Wars все-таки отлили в пластиковой форме LEGO. Впрочем, никто и не сомневался.

Близкие по духу

После появления на большом экране беглого штурмовика Финна и мусорщицы Рэй не было никаких сомнений, что вскоре они будут отлиты в пластике. В конце концов, за последние десять лет чуть ли не все герои далекой-далекой галактики обзавелись собственной LEGO-версией, а события обеих трилогий были разыграны с помощью пластиковых деталек. Так зачем же «Пробуждению Силы» становиться исключением?

Когда Энакин Скайуокер, так сказать, «восстановил равновесие Силы», погибли почти все джедаи в галактике. Не удивительно, что в старой трилогии на световых мечах сражаются аж целых три человека: престарелый Оби-Ван, юный Люк и его сломленный судьбой отец Дарт Вейдер (что, спойлер? А пенсию на почте сегодня забрать не забыли?). Даже Дарт Сидиус, император всея галактики, не соизволил достать меч, хотя новая трилогия показала, что он — солидный фехтовальщик.

Прошло тридцать лет после взрыва второй «Звезды Смерти». Что ситхи, что джедаи — вымирающие виды. Мрачный бородатый Люк скрылся среди звезд, а единственный человек, владеющий световым мечом, — блудный сын четы Соло (ой, опять спойлер!) Кайло Рен. Так что The Force Awakens по большей части о бластерах.

Но как же сбалансировать механику так, чтобы сражения остались интересными? Ведь перестрелки в играх LEGO всегда были весьма условными: вы просто лупите по одной кнопке, пока все не «поразбираются» на мелкие детальки.

Однако спустя десять лет после старта франшизы стрельба в LEGO наконец-то обрела достойное воплощение. Вот бегаете вы по уровню, собираете детальки и пинаете штурмовиков по заднице. Но тут их неожиданно становится слишком много, а из-за угла грозно вышагивает здоровяк с пулеметом (огнеметом, ракетницей, турелью).

Как же быть? Давить на кнопку стрельбы еще яростнее и быстрее? Как бы не так! Герои пригибаются, чтобы не попасть под огонь, и скрываются за удобными укрытиями. Теперь все, у кого в кобуре есть бластер, могут прицеливаться и стрелять по вражьим мордам. По форме неожиданно вызывает в памяти весь массив боевиков от третьего лица и с укрытиями, что дало повод поднять шум на тему «LEGO превращается в Call of Duty!».

Но сама игра от этого не потеряла ничего, напротив — жанр со столь простым содержанием нуждается в жонглировании механиками. Инноваций мы не требуем, но разнообразие нужно. Выбивать детальки, часами мучая одну и ту же кнопку, даже ребенку однажды надоест. А бои в укрытиях бросают какой-никакой вызов. Хотя бы потому, что в таком сражении легко погибнуть: надолго высунувшись из-за баррикады, ваш персонаж быстро соберет пучок бластерных выстрелов или вообще отхватит от снайпера.

Смерть в LEGO, однако, никогда много не значила — подумаешь, пара деталек пропадет. Но тем не менее это заставляет напрячься, а время от времени — даже применить простенькую уловку: опрокинуть вышку с пулеметом, обойти снайпера сбоку, обрушить перекрытия на вражеские позиции. Здорово разбавляет привычный расслабляющий геймплей.

► Штурмовик, который орет: «ПРЕДАТЕЛЬ!», — самый крутой мужчина во всем фильме. И в игре его будет не так-то просто одолеть!

В более спокойной обстановке немного поразмыслить тоже придется. Во всех частях LEGO важнейшую роль играли постройки, возводимые из специальных деталек, подпрыгивающих от нетерпения. Теперь из каждого такого набора можно выстроить не одну конструкцию, а две или даже три. Но на все сразу блоков не хватит, придется выбирать.

Такая вариативность становится основой многих головоломок. Построили вы, например, некую бандуру, а когда она выполнит свое назначение — со спокойной душой ее ломаете и сооружаете из освободившихся блоков что-то другое, чтобы продвинуться дальше. До высот настоящих квестов это, конечно, не дотягивает, но в столь консервативной серии даже такие крохотные нововведения здорово освежают игровой процесс.

Да и вообще The Force Awakens на удивление часто подкидывает разнообразные ситуации. Пару раз наших героев бросят в отчаянный воздушный бой (да-да, X-Wing’и в атмосфере, Чуи, я знаю). Временами заставляют убегать от чего-нибудь непобедимого.

Но чаще, конечно, превращают мелкотравчатый эпизод из киноленты в двадцать минут чистого игрового процесса. Например, там, где Рэй находит световой меч Скайуокеров, нас ждет целый уровень в духе Лары Крофт, с задачками и акробатикой. Смотревшим фильм это может показаться натянутым, но событий седьмого эпизода на целую игру просто не хватало. Да и играются подобные эпизоды ничуть не хуже прочих уровней, так что какая разница?

Разработчики явно чувствовали себя куда увереннее, когда в их заботливые лапы попадали огромные вселенные, полновесные сеттинги с кучей альтернатив, где героев сотни. Но The Force Awakens ставит неизбежное ограничение: только те, чьи лица (или шлемы) засветились на экране в кинотеатре, могли попасть в игру. А персонажей в «Пробуждении Силы» не так уж много, особенно по меркам LEGO-игр.

Но Traveller’s Tales — стреляные воробьи, сделавшие интерактивные версии LEGO своим ремеслом. Поэтому дефицит действующих лиц они ликвидировали. Пусть и путем ухищрений.

Так, почти каждый случайный наемник или третьестепенный пилот Сопротивления стал полноценным персонажем. А еще игра начинается за тридцать лет до событий «Пробуждения Силы», с битвы на Эндоре, так что вот вам и набор классических героев: Дарт Вейдер, Император, адмирал Акбар, заботливо предупреждающий о ловушке.

Наконец, Traveller’s Tales сочинили набор заданий между эпизодами — все-таки за тридцать лет много всякого произошло. И достаточно бедный сюжет «Пробуждения Силы» получил необходимое дополнение.

► Как таковой песочницы в игре больше нет — ну никак не соединишь несколько планет в одну общую локацию! Однако уровням это не повредило: они по-прежнему набиты секретами так плотно, что на поиск всего-всего не хватит и трех прохождений разными персонажами.

Сохранился и фирменный юмор Traveller’s Tales, пусть его и потеснили шутки из фильма — которые оттачивались, наверное, дольше сценария. Конечно, Кайло Рен закатит пару истерик, а Хан Соло лишний раз блеснет обаянием Харрисона Форда. Юмор, как и прежде, по большей части визуальный и заложен в саму структуру игры. Финн, если вы не управляли им пару секунд, трусливо подпрыгивает и, кажется, грызет ногти. Спидер Рэй щеголяет наклейкой «BB on board», как на машинах с карапузами в салоне. В The Force Awakens хватает отсылок и к массовой культуре — чтобы папаши не скучали, пока их дите осваивает игру.

► Болезненную любовь Кайло Рена к своему деду ожидаемо превратили в смешную одержимость. Вейдер на доске для серфинга — это, кажется, перебор.

Но кое-где разработчикам пришлось и отступить.

Не могу знать, в какой спешке делалась The Force Awakens, но косвенные улики бросаются в глаза. Отзывы в Steam полнятся жалобами то на зависший черный экран, то на белый, то на вылеты. Я же встретился с другой бедой — при игре вдвоем на одной клавиатуре The Force Awakens обожает падать на рабочий стол, стирая сохранения. Чинится это подключением геймпада для второго игрока, но не все же готовы на такое пойти. Зато контроллер спасет ваши пальцы — кнопки управления традиционно разбросаны как попало. Эпизоды с перестрелками для игрока на клавиатуре превратятся в изощренную пытку, и да подбросит вам Сила напарника с геймпадом, иначе свихнетесь.

Самая первая игра LEGO-эпопеи от Traveller’s Tales вышла аккурат к завершению новой трилогии в 2005 году. Теперь круг замкнулся. За одиннадцать лет очень бурной жизни (сколько тайтлов обращено в истинную веру!) игра мало изменила свой фундамент, зато обогатилась сотней разных мелочей, обрела голос и какой-никакой открытый мир (теперь его, правда, снова нет). Новая игра тоже потихоньку развивает серию, хоть и крошечными шажками.

Но, в сущности, это не так уж важно. Главное — LEGO Star Wars: the Force Awakens все еще одно из лучших кооперативных развлечений в индустрии, одинаково увлекающее и взрослых, и детей. Такие игры нам тоже нужны.
