Make it move

Simple movements can make big changes to photos. Try out different ways to make your scenery move around your models or find ways to make your models move on their own! Fishing line can be a great tool to make things look like they’re floating and moving on their own.

How to Create Flight

Want to make a Speeder fly? Bring big action to life using transparent bricks! In this video, David Hall takes you through all of the pieces and techniques he uses to make his ships appear to be flying in his Brickorama. What can you make fly in your Brickorama? Give it a try!

How to Make a Minifigure Walk

Want to learn how to make your Stormtroopers™ march? In this video, Forrest Whaley demonstrates the process of creating a minifigure walk in stop motion animation. It can help to watch how people walk to get the movements down. When you put one leg forward, swing the opposite arm of the minifigure forwards. With each movement, shift the torso just a little bit to make it look a little more realistic. Then, once you’ve created this small walking loop, you can repeat it! Check out the video for a full tutorial.

8017 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter is a remake of the TIE Advanced x1 used by Darth Vader, and was released in December 2008/January 2009. A Darth Vader minifigure is included, which was one of the first to have the new, more-detailed torso piece. It was released as part of the 10th Anniversary of LEGO Star Wars. Because of this, LEGO randomly inserted 10,000 4547551 Chrome Darth Vader sets into the boxes of this set in the US and Europe.

Contents

Description

This set is mostly in black or dark stone (colour), and features details from the Star Wars movies. It has bent wings, unlike a regular TIE Fighter, flick-firing missiles and an elongated hull with an opening cockpit to seat Darth Vader. Due to design, the wings can be folded flat, though this is not possible with TIE Advanced starfighters in the Star Wars Universe.

Background

Darth Vader used this experimental TIE Fighter after a series of other ships which he deemed inferior and uncomfortable (due to his cumbersome life-support armour). It was an improvement over the regular TIE Fighter in terms of both speed and durability, as well as having hyperspace capabilities and was given to him by Marketing Relations Manager Taed Augustus whom he killed for disrespect. It was proposed to become the replacement of the regular TIE Fighter, but its heavy costs never saw it mass-produced. Vader flew this at the Battle of Yavin, just before the Death Star was destroyed. He was pursuing Luke Skywalker, but was knocked away by laser-fire from the Millennium Falcon (it was because of this that Vader survived the Death Star's explosion).

Production of the TIE Advanced was later ceased, but the best features were incorporated into later-generation TIE starfighters. It had two laser cannons and cluster missiles equipped, which let it do considerably more damage than the average TIE Fighter.

Advanced TIE fighters of this class were later used by Lando Calrissian as part of an asteroid field-based flight challenge over the planet of Dubrillion called "running the belt".

Notes

  • This set was released in late December 2008 in the U.S. and the UK, and January 2009 elsewhere.
  • The Darth Vader Minifigure in this set has a new torso piece which contains additional details, such as more buttons on the chest panel and a belt.

Minifigures included

Blast the Rebels with Darth Vader’s TIE fighter™!
Straight from the original Star Wars movie, the TIE Advanced x1 is Darth Vader’s™ personal starfighter! Even faster than a standard TIE fighter, Vader’s TIE is customized with bent wings, a deflector shield and a hyperdrive. Celebrate 10 years of LEGO Star Wars with this all-new set, featuring incredible movie-accurate details, flick-firing missiles, and the Dark Lord of the Sith himself, Darth Vader!

Notorious Sith Lord, Darth Vader first appeared on movie screens in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope , in 1977. He was soon revealed to be a ruthless villain, determined to hunt down enemies of the Empire. Under the instruction of the evil Galactic Emperor Palpatine, Vader strikes fear into everyone he meets with his mysterious mask and mechanical breathing.

In Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back , Vader confronts Luke Skywalker. And in an iconic Lightsaber battle scene Vader overpowers Luke, severing his hand and dramatically revealing that he is Luke’s father.

But it was in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi , that fans finally saw the man behind the mask. In moving scenes, we discovered that despite his fearsome character, Darth Vader had never fully forgotten the light side of the Force.

Of course, it wasn’t until the release of the prequel trilogy that Star Wars fans learnt the full history of the Sith Lord. Through Episodes I, II and III, we witness the transformation of the heroic Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker into Darth Vader.

As one of the world’s most iconic villains, Darth Vader is a popular character in Star Wars merchandise, with Darth Vader toys, action figures and LEGO® gift sets popular with Star Wars fans, young and old.

With his jet-black armor, mechanical breathing and dedication to the dark side, it’s hard to believe that Darth Vader was once a Jedi Knight. Yet, Vader’s story begins with the young Tatooine slave boy Anakin Skywalker who would later become the fearsome Sith Lord.

It was prophesized that Anakin Skywalker would become one of the most powerful Jedi ever. But after being tempted to the dark side, believing it the only way to save his wife Padmé Amidala from death, Anakin’s transformation into Darth Vader begins.

After a lengthy Lightsaber battle with his former Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin is left close to death, badly injured with horrific burns. After finding Anakin, Emperor Palpatine encases him in black armor and a mask to keep him alive – finally transforming Anakin into Darth Vader.

For many years, Darth Vader spread fear across the galaxy, overpowering the enemies of the Galactic Empire at every turn. As part of his quest, Vader hunts down and fights Jedi apprentice Luke Skywalker but in his final moments Vader turns his back on the dark side. Rather than killing Luke, he saves him from the Emperor, even though it costs him his own life.

After his death, Vader – now Anakin Skywalker once more – is at one with the Force and is reunited with his old friends Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

"The Force is with you, young Skywalker. But you're not a Jedi yet." ―Darth Vader meeting Luke Skywalker for the first time. "No. I am your Father." ―Darth Vader revealing to Luke that he is his long-lost father.

Symbol of the saga

Darth Vader has appeared in a total of seventeen sets, being recognized as one of the most frequently packaged minifigures, but he falls short of Luke Skywalker who appears in twenty-eight sets. He is considered the representation of the LEGO Star Wars line to a certain extent, after the fact that Darth Vader is the most well known Star Wars character, and has been in all 6 movies. He was released in the set 8017 Darth Vader's TIE Fighter to symbolize the 10th anniversary of LEGO and Star Wars. His helmet was on the box art of the Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith line.

He has so far appeared in all of the LEGO Star Wars Video Games. He is the last unlockable character in LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game, that can only be unlocked after finding all the minikits in the game, which makes him one of the hardest characters to unlock. He also has a cameo in LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures. He is also on the front cover of the book LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary.

Background

Darth Vader (formerly Anakin Skywalker) was once a Jedi Knight and expert pilot trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi, but his emotions (particularly his fear of losing Padme) caused him to give in to his anger and aggression, leading to him being turned to the dark side of the Force by Darth Sidious. This new path caused him to join the Sith and resulted in a duel with Obi-Wan. Vader lost this duel, which resulted in him having to permanently wear body armor and a life-support system.

Vader soon became a feared leader of the Empire. He became an enemy to the Rebellion. He killed many Jedi and Rebel leaders for around thirty years. He had a son and a daughter, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia respectively. However, due to certain complications, he did not know Luke was his son until after the first Death Star blew up, and he did not know Leia was his daughter until the day he died. Darth Vader dramatically told Luke "I am your father" in Cloud City, when they dueled at the climax of Episode V. During the same duel, Vader cut off Luke's right hand. Soon the two met again for a final duel. Luke won the duel but Sidious fired out Force lightning at him. Anakin Skywalker (no longer Vader) saved Luke and threw the Emperor into the reactor core of the second Death Star, but died shortly after. Anakin was then seen as a Force ghost at his funeral.

Это мой первый обзор на DoubleBrick. Не судите строго, пожалуйста, я только учусь.
Итак, к празднику 23 февраля родители подарили мне набор 8017 -Darth Vader's TIE fighter.
